KARAOKE PARTY!

Who: Linda, Kite, everyone else in the mansion who wants to come.
Where The Dining Room
When: Saturday Night, January 12th
Rating: PG. At most, PG 13.
Summary: Linda has been talking about a Karaoke Party with Kite for weeks now, and finally it’s a reality.
the Story:

The sky was darkening, and soon it would be night. It was almost time. Time for the party.

Linda had to thank the mansion. Over the past weeks, it had been giving her CD after CD and eventually a karaoke machine itself. By now, the musical collection for tonight was well into the thousands, containing any song that anyone ever might even think to sing. She was excited. No one would be left out because they lacked a song. In fact, no one would be left out. Or else.

Spinning about the dining room, a trail of confetti flying about behind her, Linda danced to the music in her head while finishing her decorations. Bowls of food and snacks lined the tables along the sides of room while a massive stage took up the back wall. All of which were now covered in a coat of confetti. The room seemed to sparkle, almost as if it wished to join in the party as well.

“Kite!” Linda called, “Kite! It’s like, almost totally time! We’ve got to like, totally greet everyone and stuff!”

Another guest! This was someone Kite didn't quite recognize, though. Hadn't he seen him sometime during Christmas? He was that... fast, screaming boy, wasn't he? Either way, he obviously recognized Kite, so that was good enough. He seemed nice enough.

"Ahh, hello," he greeted with a polite, awkward wave. "Nnn... sorry, do not remember..."

"It's alright, yeah? I know everyone, but not everyone knows me. But fuck it, where's the music at, and when are we gonna kick this shit off?" Con spat out, quick as ever, and casual about his vulgarity as ever too.

Kite blinked. He had a very colourful vocabulary, at least.

"Ahhh...?" he sighed awkwardly. "Ah, machine near the stage..." He pointed at the karaoke machine he had helped Linda set up earlier.

"Right, that's the karaoke, yeah. I'm just wondering when the actually party was starting. I didn't wanna go premature on this motherfucker. Gotta have an audience, yeah?" Con shot out, figuring everything he just said made any sense at all to the AI.

Unfortunately, very little of it did. However, Kite was now extremely grateful for that slang dictionary Harry had given him for Christmas. otherwise he would have been completely lost.

"Er, well..." He paused, still trying to figure out what Con had just said. "Go right... ahead?" Kite shrugged slightly. He really had no idea.

"Maybe. Guess I'll wait a bit, till more people show up." And with that, Con mercifully let Kite free of another blast of untranslatable speak.
