KARAOKE PARTY!
Who: Linda, Kite, everyone else in the mansion who wants to come.
Where The Dining Room
When: Saturday Night, January 12th
Rating: PG. At most, PG 13.
Summary: Linda has been talking about a Karaoke Party with Kite for weeks now, and finally it’s a reality.
the Story:
The sky was darkening, and soon it would be night. It was almost time. Time for the party.
Linda had to thank the mansion. Over the past weeks, it had been giving her CD after CD and eventually a karaoke machine itself. By now, the musical collection for tonight was well into the thousands, containing any song that anyone ever might even think to sing. She was excited. No one would be left out because they lacked a song. In fact, no one would be left out. Or else.
Spinning about the dining room, a trail of confetti flying about behind her, Linda danced to the music in her head while finishing her decorations. Bowls of food and snacks lined the tables along the sides of room while a massive stage took up the back wall. All of which were now covered in a coat of confetti. The room seemed to sparkle, almost as if it wished to join in the party as well.
“Kite!” Linda called, “Kite! It’s like, almost totally time! We’ve got to like, totally greet everyone and stuff!”

“I am like, so totally happy you could make it!”

"M-Miss Linda-!" The 'miss' slipped out, natural politeness taking over in her shock. "I-... I mean, u-um-" her face turned even redder, as she stumbled to correct her error.

Once there, she pointed at the machine, "If you like, press a bunch of those buttons like, a L-O-T it will like, play a song. Then you like, press the really pretty blue button and it will like change songs! So like, find one you like and try it out!"

Her face was bright red, now. She simply tried not to make eye contact with anyone.

Poor Tamao looked like she was going to throw up or something. Was she sick? Why had she come, if she was totally sick?

Well, she'd have to do something eventually. Keeping her eyes closed, out of nervousness, she pushed a few random buttons. Was three enough? Maybe four.
Ah! The song was starting! Follow the lyrics on the little screen, right? That was it, right? Don't just stand there it's starting-!
"Here, my head up in the clouds
I feel I'm spinning around
Dreams will come and go
But this is here to stay
So forever this way..." Her voice was very soft at first, eventually gaining a hint of confidence. It was only the slightest hint however, and vanished once the song finished. She was bright red again, staring at her shoes, hoping to escape now that it was over.

“That was so totally awesome, Tamao!” Linda cheered once the song was over, her fit of envy forgotten, “Keep going!”

"U-Um... Rain fell down
You were there
I cried for you when I
hurt my hand
Storm a-rushing in
Wind was howling
I called for you, you were there..."

It was better than Linda's.Linda had competition.
"Have you been like, practicing or something?"

"I-... I just... do it for fun... So it's not that good," she mumbled.
