Biffle Walk || [Incomplete]
Who: Fai [
kitty_in_wonder] and Sheena [
pinkribbonmagic
Where ...Wherever they walk to?
When: June 19th, after this thread
Rating: PG. Maybe PG-13 for mention of things occurred over the event.
Summary: After a particularly rough event, Fai and Sheena decide a walk might help them both.
the Story:
Fai headed downstairs rather quickly. The past few days had been...rough, to say the very least. Filled to the brim with guilt and remorse, with regret and grieving, even if the person in question had been restored to life, and even if things were fine now. Guilt was still eating at Fai, for things he hadn't said, and for things that he had done.
But more importantly, he was not the only one who had gone through a terrible time recently. There was Sheena, who had been fooled into pregnancy by the mansion, only to have it be taken away at the end. It made him feel a tiny bit bad for the joking that had gone on before the event, when there would in fact be no baby shower at all. Rationally he knew he probably shouldn't have felt bad about that, given the timing, but Fai was in a strange space from his own experience with the event, where it was very difficult not to take any blame.
So, knowing this, and knowing that she must have been hurting terribly, he wasted no time going downstairs to meet her, and made sure he had a wide smile waiting for her.

Talking to Fai always seemed to make her feel better -- even if it involved the smallest of things. The way he acted sometimes made her feel like he had become a brother she never had and it was comforting to say the least. After quickly making her way down the stairs, she waited while leaning against a wall close to the large wooden doors of the entrance way to to the mansion.
Sheena crossed her arms over her chest and had only a moment to wait before she heard Fai's familiar steps walking down the grand staircase and into the main foyer. "Hey Fai." The smile on her face is weak and a little forced, but all the same it's the right thing to do.

Sheena was very dear to Fai. As long as he had known her, Sheena had been someone Fai could go to, with his worries. She was someone who had accepted him, no, had forgiven him for the terrible things he had done, and was someone he still confided in when he needed to. To a degree, he could with Kurogane as well, especially now, but previously Sheena had been the only one to know Fai's secrets. They were close, like siblings. Like family.
" So, shall we go?" Fai asked. It was intended to be a walk after all, and it would probably be best to be away from the hustle and bustle of the mansion anyway.

Her chestnut eyes glanced around the somewhat empty foyer and sighed softly. It wouldn't put it past her if the rest of the mansion was holed up in their rooms after what had transpired.
"Yeah.. yeah lets go." Sheena turned herself back around and grasped the doorknob of the door, pushing it open and walking out into the summer evening air.

" It's a nice night, tonight," Fai said after a moment, searching for something to break that silence. And it was nice. Fai had never done well in sweltering weather.
But the quiet wasn't so bad. Not really. Though silence brought unwanted thoughts to mind, especially when one was trying not to think about them too hard. It wasn't so hard to talk either, Fai had discovered. It was just difficult to get started, that was all.

She glanced at Fai from the corner of her eyes, just to look at him, and smiled gently at him before glancing back up at the moon, "Hey Fai. When you started traveling to other words, did you ever have quiet nights like this?"

In the world he was from though, Celes, Fai had not had nice, quiet nights outside. It was far too cold at night for that, no matter what time of year it was, far too dangerous for standing around outside looking at the starts and moon.
Ah, but that was then and this was now, and this was a beautiful night indeed.
