Summary: Suzaku has invited Euphie to go take a walk outside and spend time.
the Story:

Shutting down the laptop, he put on a jacket and went outside. Going over to the next room, he stopped infront of the door and took a deep breath to calm himself down. He hadn't seen or talked to Euphie for a while, and it would be lying to say he wasn't nervous. Suzaku gently knocked on the door with his (still) bandaged right hand. "Euphie? It's me, Suzaku," he called out.

"Coming!". Euphie replied as she quicky changed her clothes. Suzaku had to wait a few moments before Euphie finally opened the door.

"Im sorry you had to wait!" Euphie quicky apologized to Suzaku in a sincere manner. She was wearing simple casual clothing and not the usual Royal gown that Suzaku has seen her wear so often. After a few moments, she quickly took Suzaku's left hand and ran towards the mansion's exit dragging Suzaku along.

When they reached the mansion's exit, they rested and recovred their breath. "It's been a long while since I ran like that!" Euphie said in a happy tone after recvering her breath.

Suzaku didn't expect that he would see Euphie in a casual outfit, and was a bit surprised. But before he could say anything, she had grabbed his hand and ran down the hall pulling him.

Once Euphie stopped, Suzaku, being the soldier he is, hadn't even lost his breath a bit. Seeing Euphie's energetic self was really relieving though, and he laughed a little bit. "I never knew you could run so fast."

"I used to run around the palace when I feel like it or when Im sneaking out of the palace." Euphie explained then giggles. She then looks and gently carsses Suzaku's bandaged right hand then looks at him with concerned eyes.

"You really should take care of yourself more. Is your right hand okay? Does it not hurt anymore?" Euphie asks in a very concerned manner.

Suzaku imagined young Euphie running around in the palace, Cornelia-sama must have been quite worried.

"It doesn't hurt anymore. The wounds aren't that deep," he answered in a gentle tone. Placing his other bandaged hand on top of Euphie's soft hand, he smiled to ease Euphie's worry.

"Are you sure? If you say so..." Euphie returns Suzaku's smile with a smile of her own.

She then stands gently and looks around and after a while, she sees a nice spot and tells it to Suzaku.

"That beach over there is a nice spot. Its a few minutes worth of walk from the mansion. Maybe we should go there! What do you think?" She curiously asks Suzaku.

"The beach? Sure! Anywhere you want, Euphie," he said, looking over at the beach as well. Of all the days he had spent in this mansion, the beach was one place he had never went. Suzaku had noticed that Euphie had yet to let go of his hand, and since it wasn't like he didn't like it, he kept his hand interlocked with hers.

As they walked towards the beach, time slowly passed by. She enjoys the sights of the mansion grounds as she has never to to explore the whole place before.

She suddenly remebered Kallen out of the blue and began to speak. "Kallen sure seems not herself as of late... I wonder if the last event has something to do with it. I hope she recovers soon."

He gazed at the landscape, stealing a glance at Euphie from time to time.

"Kallen? ..I don't know..I haven't talked to her for a while," he answered truthfully. He had tried distancing himself from her and her crazy boyfriend. He definetly didn't want something like that happening again.

"Maybe we should visit her sometime..." Euphie suggested to Suzaku with a smile and they continued their walk towards the beach.

The beach was now within reach and she ran the remaining length towards the beach. When she reached the beach, she removed her shoes and ran towards the sea then she called out to Suzaku. "The water is very nice! You should come here quickly!"

She began playing with the water just like she did when she was a child with her older sister, Cornelia.

"..If you want, Euphie," he answered. Truthfully, Suzaku still didn't want to see her just yet, but if Euphie wanted to, he would gladly go and check up on her.

Taking his shoes off as well, he went into the sea. The feel of the sand between his toes were comfortable, and just as Euphie had said, the water was nice. Watching Euphie play around in the water, a smile naturally appeared on his face.

Euphie looks at Suzaku and rushes to him, She then splashes Suzaku with water with her hands uexpectedly, soaking him wet. She then runs away giggling, hoping that Suzaku will play along.

Seh just enjoys and lives the moment, hoping that this moment will last forever. "If everyday can just be like this," she thought...

"Uwah!" Suzaku was indeed caught by surprise, soaking him completely wet. However, soon after, he chased Euphie splashing her with water as well for payback.

"Kyah!" Euphie gasped at Suzaku's sudden payabck and retaliated with another splash of water then chased him as soon as he ran away. They took turns in splashing water with each other, playing and chasing each other until they are both soaked and drenched in water.

As Euphie chased Suzaku, She suddenly tripped on her steps and fell forward towards Suzaku rather unexpectedly...

Suzaku's usually curly hair was a bit flat by now, dampened down by the water. He was moving the hair out of his eyes, when he noticed Euphie falling forwards toward him. His body instantly moved to catch her, yet Suzaku had forgotten that he was on a small rock, causing him to slide off and fall back with Euphie in his arms.

Euphie was recovering from her fall and after a while she sat down, with waves of water flowing beneath her.

"Thank you, Suzaku... I was being clumsy. Im sorry... Uhm, I was not able to talk to you for sometime so I missed you. Im glad that you're all right..." Euphie told to Suzaku in a very gentle and sincere manner.

After his initial shock, Suzaku flushed. Holding Euphie's shoulders so she didn't slip again, he set her down.

"A-Ah, it's okay. I don't mind, really. Um um, I-I missed you too.." he said, still flushing a bit.

Euphie smiled as she resists the urge to giggle at Suzaku's reaction. When she cannot hold anymore, she giggled.

After her giggling, she moves and sits next to Suzaku then spoke to him sincerely. "I never had this much fun in a while! Thank you, Suzaku, for being always there."

Suzaku shook his head. "No, thank you too. I haven't just played around for a while too. You invited me out, so thank you, Euphie," he said, smiling fondly over at her.

"Nah, its okay..." Euphie replied to Suzaku as she lad her head on Suzaku's shoulder as she watches the sun beginning to set, enjoying every second of this moment with Suzaku.

Flushing a bit from feeling Euphie's head lay on his shoulder, Suzaku timidly reached out to pet her hair.

"Its been long time since I watched the sun setting with someone. Im really glad that Im able to watch it with you now, Suzaku..." Euphie told Suzaku, still her head on his shoulder.

Suzaku continued to pet her hair. "I'm glad I could see it with you as well, Euphie," he said. "I'm really glad..to just be able to spend time with you."

Euphie just smiled at Suzaku then simply kissed him on the cheek then just stares at him again with a smile.

Suzaku immediately turned bright red at the kiss, one of his hand going to his cheek. "Ah..um..ah.."

Euphie just giggled at Suzaku's reaction. She cannot stop her giggling. "You're just so cute!" Euphie commented on his reaction while giggling.

Suzaku was at first embarrassed, but Euphie's laugh was infectious and he began laughing as well. "I guess I'll take that as a compliment," he said.

He gazed at her, smiling for a bit while before leaning his head over to kiss her on the cheek as well.

Euphie just smiled at Suzaku then began patting him on the head. Her head patting slowly became playing of Suzaku's wet hair with Suzaku playing along. They played random games until the sun has fully set.

When the skies are finally black and it became night, Euphie suggested to Suzaku that they head to the mansion and have rest. "Its night already. Maybe its about time we take a rest already, is that okay with you? Thank you for spending this day with me, Suzaku... I truly appreciate it."
