Summary: Patchouli and Kaylee decide to meet in person.
the Story:

It had been hard for her, learning that Simon was gone. But Kaylee knew the cure to such things was usually found through food, and taking your mind off of things. So, Kaylee and Patchouli had arranged to meet in the kitchen, where Kaylee could eat all the food she pleased, and also take her mind off of Simon, really, it was the perfect plan.

However, she wasn't sure what the other girl (woman?) looked like, so she headed down to the kitchen, got out some strawberries to munch on, and waited.

Patchouli floated from her room toward the kitchen, moving rather quickly. Her previous plans had taken longer than expected. She also had to dress herself a little better, as well. Soon enough, she arrived at the kitchen. She saw another woman... this was probably her.

"Kaylee, yes?" She approached quickly.

Kaylee's eyes widened as soon as she came into the room, she was beautiful! And that dress, it was gorgeous. Kaylee hadn't thought to dress herself up in anything special, and she felt so plain when Patchouli called her name.

"That's right," She nodded, "So then you're Patchouli, I take it?" She asked sweetly.

"Correct," she said, speaking rather cheerfully.

"I'm so glad to have finally met you in person!" She knew they'd spoken often via journals... she'd long wanted to meet her, however, quite often she was obstructed by the strange events of the mansion.

"Oh, me too! I've talked with so many shiny people on the journals, but I only got ta meet a couple of them so far," Kaylee nodded. The mansion was very strange with everything it had been doing, but there were a lot of things that made up for the inconveniences. "Strawberry?" She offered, holding one out.

"Yes, please," she said, still quite cheerful. "I'm sorry you've only been able to see a few people you've spoken to... Surely, soon you'll be able to meet the others?"

She handed the strawberry over with a smile. She was glad to have cheerful company, it lifted her spirits. "I hope so! I jus' have ta explore more, I suppose."

"Thank you very much," she said as Kaylee handed her the strawberry.

"Yes, that's right... Maybe I could explore with you? I've not done so very much... it would be wonderful if I could have someone so kind as you to do so with."

"Aw, well now you're really flatterin' me, but sure, it'd be great ta go exploring with you!" She gave her a really big smile for the compliment.

Patchouli laughed slightly and gave Kaylee a hug, releasing her quickly after. "I'm glad to hear it!" She didn't have that many friends, and she'd really like to spend more time with those she already had.

Kaylee was a hugging kind of person. Unlike Simon, who was a...an awkward kind of person.

Her smile faded for a fraction of a second while she thought about him, but she smiled again for Patchouli, glad that she had the company and was not sulking in her room.

"It'll be shiny." She nodded.

"I'll look forward to this," she said. "When will we be doing this?" She always liked to have plans set, where possible...

"Hmm, well it ain't like I've got anythin' else ta do, so whenever you want," Kaylee titled her head to the side as she thought.

"Well... perhaps we could do it a little later today?" She smiled a little more. "Not just yet... we're not quite prepared."

"That sounds perfect," She had to agree they didn't look prepared, considering that Patchouli was wearing such fancy clothes.
