Rating: Pg-13ish, I'd say.
Summary: Fai's reflection leaves Kurogane behind in their room and moves on, to find a new toy. Then, he runs into the lovely miss Sheena along the way.
the Story:

Fai's reflection slipped out of the room where Kurogane was sleeping, shutting the door behind him. He smiled, a sickening, twisted smile as he thought of what had occurred in there, not so long ago. Sadly, an idle sleeping body was no fun to play with. It didn't have nearly the same effect if the face could not contort with pain and misery.

So he left Kurogane behind. If he didn't allow him the least bit of recovery he couldn't feed from him again. He wouldn't be able to break him completely. What fun was it to break someone in one shot anyway? Besides, there were other people he could bother. Perhaps that little brat was roaming around looking for him. It would be fun to kill this one, certainly.

He walked down the halls without fear of the anti-mirror movements. Fai's reflection was confident he couldn't be stopped by such ridiculous little attempts at rebellion. There was no attempt to even pretend he was Fai. His one eye shined gold and almost catlike, completely inhuman. It was his turn to have some fun, and he would not have it spoiled. Not by anyone.

The once familiar and quiet hallways were now filled with a tense air. Sheena had felt it the moment she had woken up the moment the week had started. That feeling of something amiss was always present and she knew she couldn't let her guard down -- not for a second.

Especially now that she knew Fai had been replaced.

Her steps were quick, side stepping and vanishing into corners when she thought someone was coming or just to be cautious.

She had a mission and her mission was to find Kurogane for both Fai and Yuui's sake.

The reflection paused, for just a moment, when he saw someone appear at the end of the hallway. It didn't take long at all for him to see that it was Sheena, beautiful Sheena.

So, instead of extending his vampire claws, he merely continued toward her, smiling.

" Well, if it isn't you, Sheena! Funny seeing you here!" he said, with a dark sort of amusement. " What a pleasant surprise, really."

In some ways it was and some ways it wasn't, but ultimately she had saved him the trouble of searching for her himself.

Sheena froze when she heard that familiar voice with her name attached to it. He sounded exactly like her friend. Had she not known any better, she would have really mistook him for the real thing. ... But she did.

With a serious expression on her face, she turns to face him completely and stares at him as he closes the distance between her.

She was ready to move at a moments notice the moment he stepped into the picture -- her magical seals tucked easily away in her obi in case she needed it which in this situation she may very well resort to.

"What the hell are you doing out here?"

The mirror shrugged. " I grew bored of him," he said, thinking of Kurogane's unconscious body back in his room. " I thought there might be more entertaining things out here."

He glanced over at her, as though mentally tracing her figure. He smirked at certain features. " By the looks of things, I was right."

The mirror of Fai hardly considered her a threat. Though, in all honesty, he rarely ever considered anyone a threat. He was positive he was faster, stronger, and more powerful than anything he would ever come across on this side of the mirror.

The way he was acting struck a very chord inside of the summoner's mind. Sheena hated that way of thinking -- people being playthings for seemingly bored individuals. Her fist tightens tightly and it takes all her self control to not to snarl at the mirror.

"I'm not here for your entertainment." She spits out, "Where did you put Kurogane?"

Instead, she places a hand on her hip and straightens in response to his oogling her body. It was something she was used to but she sure as hell wasn't going to enjoy it.

" I didn't put him anywhere," he laughed. " Everyone seems so sure that I've done something horrible to him!" By his standards his had not been horrible at all. Besides, he saw no need to starve himself when there was a perfectly good food source available. And it was true, he hadn't put him anywhere - he would be there later if he wanted another snack.

The mirror took a step or two closer, enough to make things uncomfortable. Well, uncomfortable for one of them anyway. For him it wasn't nearly close enough.

" But you are here for my entertainment," he said. " Or more accurately, I'm here to be entertained. This place is certainly living up to expectation."

"Stay back!" Sheena shouted out at the mirror that was getting way to close to her for comfort. She takes a step back and completely on the defensive while she stares him down with her narrowed eyes.

This time, she does snarl and bring her hand up towards her obi in case he decides to do something unexpected. "We're not your play things. You wouldn't even exist if Fai weren't here!"

" My, aren't you fiesty!" Fai's mirror said, completely amused by her. He cocked his head the the side and smiled at her. " It's pretty cute."

He laughed though, when she spoke next. " Are you so sure about that?" he asked. " After all, that coward's not here and I'm doing just fine."

He inched just a bit closer, attempting to make up the distance. " I don't just mean on this side of the mirror either," the mirror added. " I mean he's gone. There's a little zombie brat who will surely be out for his blood, and another who wants his last eye. Between the two of them, I can't imagine him being alive at this point."

He was trying to get under her skin. Sheena knew he was trying to piss her off but she wouldn't let him -- wouldn't let him because she had Kurogane to find and people to protect.

The summoner willed herself to not react as he moved closer yet again, but continued to keep the distance by returning the step with a back step of her own.

"If there are people from here that are over on your side, Fai'll find them. They'll keep each other safe." With that, she finally pulls out her magical seals and holds them up, "Now, where is Kurogane?!"

" I'm not telling," the mirror replied. " He's around, somewhere. Everyone seems so worried for him!" Fai's mirror seemed to take a sick delight in that fact, that he had caused all of that worry and fret in all of the real Fai's friends and family.

" You know though, you really are beautiful when you're angry," he said, closing in on her. " There's a certain fire in your eyes, a spark that attracts. It's lovely." with eyes like those, there was no way he would keep away from her. Not a chance.
