Where Hallways of Floor 7
When: First Day of Loveless Event
Rating: PG(?) [subjected to change]
Summary: Lelouch and Suzaku decides to search for Euphie while they test who is which and how this all works.
the Story:

When Suzaku had woken up this morning, and looked himself in the mirror while changing, it was easy to say he was surprised. But after being in the Mansion for more than a year, he settled that it was another event. Now, with odd black creatures swarming around, he was worried over Euphie. Since Lelouch had agreed to go find her, Suzaku quickly changed from his pajamas (he never got to change, since he had immedietly went to go find Lelouch when he found the words on the back) to something movable, made sure Arthur and Byakko stayed in the room, and opened the door to the hallway. Suzaku managed to convince Lelouch to let him leave the room first, checking the hallways for any danger. Throughly convinced there was none, he left the room, waited for Lelouch, and locked the door so no harm would come to his pet cats.

"C'mon, let's go check Euphie's room first," Suzaku suggested.

It wasn't a pleasant feeling, waking up and getting dressed, only to find the word "Timeless" carved into your back. The writing wasn't even straight. It was slanted! Obviously, whoever did it had no sense of symmetry. It was a relief to find out that Suzaku was his partner. He didn't want to be with anyone else, nor did he want anyone else to be with Suzaku.

Lelouch was also worried for Euphie. He knew perfectly well that she would take caution and stay away from the disgustingly sluggish creatures, but it didn't mean her partner -- if she even had one -- was likely to be the same. He nodded at Suzaku's suggestion and started down the hallway. "I have a feeling that getting there will take a while."

Lelouch abruptly came to a stop and took a step back. "Well, its company is not welcome."

He glared at the thing. It was so black and sluggish and every time it moved, it made a disturbing wet noise. "...I guess I'll just have to try. The bigger the words, the better?" He tugged on Suzaku's arm and stepped around in front of him to take a better look at the target; it was an eyesore. Lelouch just wanted to burn it. His hand seemed to move of its own accord and positioned itself outwards, all five fingers pointing towards the black creature. "Thunder from the heavens, pierce this disturbance with needles like a thousand flames." He jerked his arm down and with the motion came a vicious boom, followed by a lightning bolt. It struck the creature, hard, and it fell back, unmoving.

"... ... ..." Lelouch was stunned, and could not find any words to say.

((Try not to laugh at my awesome spells lol))

Lelouch was still in a state of shock. He simply nodded his head, not even thinking and allowed himself to be pulled by Suzaku, his legs moving just to keep him from tripping.

Regaining his composure, he straightened his posture and walked with a more dignified look. Suzaku was right, another one of those monsters could show up again, and if he was being dragged, they wouldn't be able to act very quickly. "She must be lonely, now that my mother isn't here."

((XD; Good good.))

Lelouch was thinking the same thing and was about to suggest that she change residence to a room closer to theirs, but the sudden appearance of more creatures distracted him. He turned his head this way and that, and cursed at the fact that they were surrounded. Lelouch opened his mouth to say another spell, but one of the monsters was quicker and charged at the duo first. "Defense..!!" Lelouch said the first thing that came to his mind, and it wasn't enough. Although the spell did well to lessen the force, the impact at which the creature came was too much and broke through, sending damage to the "Sacrifice".

At the attack, he hurried besides Suzaku, and to say that he was scared was an understatement. He was devastated, because he had forgotten. Every mistake that he would make would reflect by Suzaku having to take the blame. Lelouch didn't feel any pain from the attack. Why? He was angry, at the fact that he allowed this to happen and at these ridiculous rules.

He didn't hear Suzaku's voice of concern, too busy apologizing, "I'm sorry. I lost my head and couldn't think. Because of me..." Lelouch stared at the chain, then pulled his attention back to the monster that had attacked them. He narrowed his eyes into an icy glare. He took a hold of Suzaku's hand, his grip firm, "Flame, consume these intruders and incinerate them with your fury." The creatures in front of them ignited immediately in the fire and like their first victory, their charred remains stayed still.

Lelouch let out a deep sigh of relief. He didn't release Suzaku's hand, however, and his grip was still tight. He looks at the bruise and his eyebrows furrow together, his lips turning down into a frown. "Does it hurt?"

Although he was convinced that Suzaku was all right, Lelouch's concerned expression still remained intact. "I won't let it happen again."

Lelouch continued down the hallway and gently tugged at the hand he was holding, silently telling Suzaku to follow. He prayed that no more of those monsters would come again, "Where do you suppose those creatures came from?"

"Hmm...that's a fitting name. Did they happen to mention what they're exactly capable of?" Lelouch looked left and right as they walked, searching for any suspcious movement. He would be prepared if those 'Heartless' were to strike again.

"It's fine. Finding out from experience is more efficient than simply reading about it." Lelouch gave a small smile. He should've checked the journal entries, but after seeing a few where the residents actually had the nerve to show where their words were carved, he almost immediately shut down his computer.

((...btw, what are we going to do once they actually do reach Euphie's room? XD))

Lelouch gave a quiet laugh. "Indeed. As I always say, we can do anything if we're together."

He continued to observe the hallways as he slowed down, noticing that they were getting closer to their destination.

((Good plan! *thumbs up*))

Lelouch stopped completely in front of Euphie's room, letting a sigh of relief slip out. "Looks like we made it." He gave Suzaku a smile.

((Your spelling mistakes are fierce.))
