Summary: Haru called a meeting together to plan for the war. Let's see what happens

the Story:

Haruhi really wasn't sure if this was going to work, and she hadn't told Patcy or Yori that she was going to do this. Nor Dean. The later would probably yell at her for getting in over her head, but really, they were all in over their head the moment they came here. She and Vexin were two of the people who had been here the longest. It was up to them to spread what they knew and organize things ... and Vexin seemed to be missing recently. So that left things up to her. She supposed she was alright with managing things. She would have rather Kyouya-sempai were here though. He did manage things back home, and seemed to enjoy doing it well enough. Things would have been managed much better if he were here.

As it was, she was sitting with her boots scrunched int he sand and her knees brought up to make a sort of table. Her tote-bag sat next to her with the top open and her little notebook siting in her lap. There was writing all over the pages that sat in front of her and she was still adding to it. Battle plans and likely ways to get around the Queen and her mirror minions.

Evrey so often she'd poke her head out of the cave to see if anyone was going to show up, take a bite from the packed lunch she had brought along, or a sip from the drink. She really hoped this was going to go well.

(ooc: The nitty gritty planning thread is down hyear, but you can make intro posts and comment to prople and interact and stuff too. In fact, please do~)

"I've been trying to study the magic that holds this place together." Yujinn injected, "But so far, I haven't found a common theme that would be any help. I do have a lilke ring left, a teleporter, but it only has one use. It might be better to reserve it for a quick escape. Unless more can be urchased at the bazaar."

"Also, I was speaking to James and he implied that some of the mirror residents might be helpful."

She nodded, listening to Yuujin's comments. "I don't know much about the magic, but Yuuko used to compare the mansion to Rose Red. We have the book in the library and ..." She reached down and rustled through the knapsack before pulling out the book. "I also have it here."

She thought about James. He had to mean James Potter. He was one of the few that had been on the other side during the calm. "He's probably right, but there are also those mirrorside that would pretend to be helpful and then stab you in the back ... then there's Vexin and Kobato ..." She frowned heavily, thinking about that pair. They were pure trouble and insanity.

Dean cocked an eyebrow at America. At least the country's reaction was what he would have expected, clear and to the point about military tactics. However, some of the lunacy he associated with the other countries seemed intrinsic to his home country as well.

"There is no Wonderland. It's not an anthromophic personification like you. You can't talk to it. Wonderland probably isn't even a country. It's a place."

He watched at Haruhi pulled Rose Red from her bag.

"The Mirrors are psychos. I wouldn't count on them for anything but a slit throat."

America glanced at everyone as they spoke in turn. However, when Dean spoke.. America blinked.

"What? How can a nation exist without a nation?" He was completely baffled, and this derails his thought processes. "Hell, even Sealand is considered a country, and he's got like.. five citizens!" It didn't make sense! He sighed. "Well, if that's true, then that would explain why he's been ignoring us.."

Haruhi earned himself another glance. And yes, him, because America was convinced she's really a guy, despite being a reverse trap. "I don't know how good it'll be at busting down doors, but.." He smirked a bit. Can't help it, he knew he was awesome. "I'm really strong."

"Then you can be one of the fighting groups. I want to ask Namine to head the group rescuing Alice. She probably knows where she would be held." She looked down as if anticipating a bunch of objections to her next comment. Everyone around here seemed like they wanted to be a hero. "I want that group to be small. It'll be easier for them to be unnoticed in the chaos."

But America was the hero. And heroes saved the day.

"Wouldn't it be easier if I went after Alice? I mean, I could carry her out with no problems."

[ooc: Only pushing the issue because lol I have no idea whats going on now XD;]

She thought about that. Alice was probably malnourished actually. It would take someone to carry her and, while she was sure that Arland would go wherever Namine went ... provided that Namine led the team, he would probably also not carry Alice if that needed to happen. "That's a good idea. You can go with them. Then there's someone who knows the way and someone who can help. I think maybe one more person, then the team would be small enough to be unnoticed and powerful enough to handle something unexpected."

She paused in her speaking, writing things down in her handy dandy notebook before speaking again. "Then we just need a bunch of other groups to go over and fight. Not to mention the people going over we don't know about."

[ooc: No problem. Everything from the journal conversations is still there, I'm just trying to make everything run together chronologically.

You said you wanted America with Namine and rescuing Alice right?]

America nodded in agreement. Considering he wasn't designed to fight ghosts and other things that weren't supposed to exist, carrying Alice might be the best option. See, he could use his noggin.. once in a while.

Plus, it wouldn't slow him down. At all. Hell, he's run around with a car over his head, and he doubted Alice weighed that much.

"My army would be more than willing to go after the Queen." He commented, idly. They were all drafted anyway, so they don't have much of a choice. Though.. well.. Prussia was their secret weapon, as he'd probably argue her to death.

[ooc: Oh, okay! Not sure which came first, really. XD But yeah.. whatever works from that conversation. But yeah, I'd rather have him go after Alice, because I figure he's more useful there.]

Dean stared at America. This guy was a mess of cliches. Bossy, cocky, into heroics, a braggart, and prone to running into things with half baked ideas. He shuddered at how much it vaguely reminded him of himself. Proud to be an American? He was waffling at the moment, but at least he wasn't Russian.

"You may be a huge nation back home, but here that bitch could wipe the floor with your army. And attacking her with everything we've got is probably just what she wants. We need to do some stealth recon...You know...like Navy Seals. You know what Navy Seals are right?"

Haru frowned, looking down again. Her expression was unreadable, but her tone was calm. Almost too calm. "I'd like to have a chance at her myself, but I don't think we'll get that. It's better to cause a lot of distraction so you guys can get to Alice and back over before anyone notices. Dinah too if the cat is there."

"Of course!" America chirped with a slight grin, though it wasn't as obnoxious as before. America was very proud of his Navy. Of course, he also had Marines in his country, and they were borderline psycho. He was still in serious mode here as he looked to Dean again. "Well, the humans on my army here are.. different than the ones at home." Obviously. He pushed 'Texas' further up his nose as he continued. "I'm still not entirely sure what they're capable of, but I don't doubt that they can be 'stealthy'."

It'd be easier to drop bombs on them all, but America kept quiet about that. His bosses were crazy sometimes. Though, this didn't help change his thoughts about why monarchies were messed up.

America was still failing to see how this was a bad idea, serious or not. Back to Haruhi! "A distraction might work!" And now he's thinking. If only he could convince Russia into being fail!bait somehow.. "I'll need someone to cover me after I get the girl, though. I don't want her to get hurt."

Haru scratched the back of her head, trying to put things as bluntly as she could without upsetting the man. They'd need him for this plan to work out. Especially if they were relying on him. "You don't work with others often, do you?"

If this was what America was supposed to be like she'd just now decided she didn't ever want to visit. It seemed unstable and a bit frustrating. She'd stick with her own country.

Dean blinked and cocked his eyebrows. "You recruited people here for an army?" Who in their right mind would serve one of the "countries"? The only one he'd met that wasn't buckets of crazy was Hungary and perhaps Austria if he didn't have such a stick up his ass. "Who's in this "army" of yours?" If it was anyone worthwhile Dean considered joining. He'd been trained by an ex Marine with additional "special forces" education in the paranormal.

At Haruhi's comment he looked at her and then nodded his agreement, squaring his shoulders. "She's got a point. Teamwork would be best here. This isn't an action movie."

"Of course I do! I've had the other countries as my support countless times!" Obviously, America was missing the point. His arms folded and he blinked at Haruhi, wondering what he meant by that.

And then Dean spoke, and he tilted his head inquisitively. "Well.. yeah. So are the other nations." He considered briefly. "Umm.. Beast Boy, Othello and Sam." Yes, Dean. Your brother is helping the crazy. And yes, Othello, you're counted in on this.

"I know this isn't an action movie." He huffed. Seriously, did everyone have to treat him like he was still 13 colonies old? "I'm just saying, I'm probably the strongest one here. I could still shoot if I had to, but multitasking that much would throw off my aim."

Haru closed her eyes and let out a few breaths. This "America' didn't seem to understand anything at all. He was acting like a child who wanted the toys to do exactly what he wanted. These weren't toys and this wasn't a game. She was getting slowly and increasingly angrier at him. "This isn't about support. You have to work together in order for this to work. We need to rescue Alice, not play hero. If you can't understand that then you can leave right now."

Her face was set in a frown and her eyes looked hard. She was angry. Angry that someone could treat someone's life so cheaply as to act this way about it. She thought better of America when he had started talking. Now she wasn't even sure she wanted him involved at all.

America blinked with confusion at the reaction he got. He had no idea what he said wrong; he was merely offering his help by stating facts. He was strong. He wasn't human, so he could definitely take more damage than one. And yet.. Haruhi was intent on getting angry with him for.. whatever reason.

He only had the best intentions to help, and she was mad at him. For what? For wanting to help? So now he's pouting, though not as much as he usually did. Dealing with Haruhi was turning into dealing with England..

"Sorry." He stated quietly, though he was merely saying it for apparently invoking Haruhi's wrath. In his mind he did nothing wrong. "I just.. want to help."

Dean shook his head and sighed and then raised his hands and did a clearing of the air type motion. "Look. America is a freakin strong nation...YOU are a really strong nation...We understand that...But the Queen doesn't play fair and we'd hate to lose you to her side...which is probably exactly what she wants...We need your strength as part of the whole here...And I can't believe you recruited Sam...That's a first..." He paused in disbelief for a moment before continuing. "I think it might be wise to evaluate our assests here. What can everyone do?" He knew he was asking for America to sing his praises again.

Though she'd pulled out of the conversation as soon as America had spoken, Rizelle was still paying close attention to what was being said. She wasn't much for talk unless she had anything vital to contribute to the conversation. And finally Dean had given her a reason to butt in on the talk.

"I can use my spiders as scouts; I see and hear what they see and hear, and I can communicate through them to people that they might be situated close to." She stated this plainly, even as she revealed the full purpose of her spiders. "I....am also able to use them to control other people, though I've admittedly not used this since I came here and I've never used it on anyone more powerful than a regular person." Awkward though it sounded to her, it was the truth.

At least Dean understood him. Then again, he would since Dean was American. Still, he nodded in response and listened to Rizelle speak and.. ewww.. spiders.

He glanced to Haruhi, willing to wait for 'permission' to keep the dictator happy. And yeah, he's not liking the whole 'order him around' thing.. only he can do that. He's definitely not dropping out now because this group needed him.

Jace's arrival was late, but he could no longer fight with himself in the dark confines of his room. He had to do something to make reparations for his mirror's wanton cruelty. Unsure if he would be welcomed or spurned he entered the cave cautiously, catching the tail end of the mention of teleportation.

"From what I understand," he interrupted quietly. "Passage by temporal and planar distortion within Wonderland, especially between sides, is impossible. I've yet to attempt it, however."

Yujinn watched as Haruhi pulled out the book. "This place is like a book?" He asked, intrigued. "I'd like to read that book sometime, if I could. Is it from the library?"

He waited, not sure what the others were talking about. Something about personified countries. That sounded... complicated. He was sure Pheliosta would be a nervous wreck if it existed in one form. Constantly trying to backstab itself. The thought almost made him laugh.

Yujinn turned as Jace arrived. "I don't know. Since I only have one, and it's one use, I haven't tried it. That may be so."

"I'll hunt down another copy then." It wouldn't be too hard. The library always seemed to replenish itself. Even if it didn't put it's own books away. "The other book you should read is Alice in Wonderland. It helps ... a bit."

Jace looked at the silver haired man.

"If it has only one use it would be better to save it as an alternative to something else failing. I take it you are a person of some magical talent. I'm Jace Beleren." He held out a hand in greating, at the same time casting a look at the book Haruhi had.

"Alice in Wonderland was a frustrating read, but I think after all those notes I took for Mia it is finally beginning to make sense. You can look at them if you like."

"I'll have to look for those books then. I haven't much to go on at the moment, so anything that helps a little is better than what I have." He smiled again.

Yujinn looked back to Jace, "Yujinn," He replied, offering his hand as well. "Yes, that seems prudent. It's what it's thee for anyway, but I thought I'd offer it. Who knows? Maybe it really won't work."
