Who: Soubi and Seimei
Where: A tea room
When: After this post
Rating: PG -13
Summary: The two most important people in Ritsuka's life decide to have anice little chat.
the Story: Seimei waited in the quite ambient light of the room lit by candles. It was relatively dark and Seimei preferred it that way. His garb was of course formal, he was wearing blue yukata and reading a book. Hidden away on his body, he had a pocket knife which was all he could politely allow himself to bring.
So something like Soubi had dared to lay claim to Ritsuka in such an intimate fashion. He could kill him and perhaps it was the event that stopped him from very quickly hunting Soubi down and trying to slay him.

the Story: Seimei waited in the quite ambient light of the room lit by candles.

Soubi was still unconvinced that Seimei could legitimately take him in a fight. He was not a fighter, after all. Sacrifices were frail by nature.
Soubi's own yukata was a fine, intricately embroidered robe of deep violet and silver silk. His long hair was pulled into a loose ponytail. Tucked away in his own sleeve was a small vial of arsenic. He still hadn't decided whether or not he intended to use it.
He paused outside the door, drawing in a slow breath before he pushed them open and stepped inside, chin held high.
"Aoyagi Seimei," he said tersely, inclining his head as he took a seat across the table from the other man.
Why do I have a feeling both of them are going to die?
"Atsugama Soubi. Your relationship with my brother...Just how did you think I would react to your false claim on him?"
Out of politeness, he put his book down. In the darkness of the room there was no need to hide his expression under the falsehood of gentlemanly behavior. The shadows of the lighting made it harder to decipher intention.
Seimei poured himself a cup of tea, then one for Soubi. The tea was not tainted and he took a sip. Now, any of the other things offered to change the taste of the tea were laced with poison. The very same one that Soubi was still debating to use.
"Ritsuka has a claim to you as his fighter. However, you have run completely out of control because of him for too long. Every animal needs rules so that it doesn't out grown it's use or place in the world. You are spoiled by him."
no subject
"Still thinking of other human beings as animals. Really, you are a far more deplorable person than I'd given you credit for."
Soubi was not touching the tea. After all, the cup itself could have easily been coated with something unpleasant. He wasn't writing anything out at this point, and as polite as he deigned be, he was a bit more concerned with self-preservation.
"Treating a fighter as an equal is not spoiling him. Perhaps the rest might be, but it could be argued that he started it."
no subject
Seimei tented his hands and propped his chin up.
"You aren't his real partner Mr. Agatsuma, a blank is a blank. At best you are a replacement or a spare. I'm sure you are aware of these things as much as I am. You are not equal to Ritsuka, in any fashion and your presence is replaceable."
no subject
"Perhaps. That will be his decision to make, should his true partner emerge." Soubi met the man's eyes and smiled pleasantly. "What upsets you more? The fact that I'm a more suitable partner, or that you couldn't be the one to take his ears?"
no subject
"Your ability to emulate and become what others want, is the only reason he loves you. He loves you because he loves me and the fact that you slept with him is not what bothers me the most. It's what you stole from him that those ears represent."
no subject
"Not that you'd understand, but it's rather hard to maintain one's composure when a boy is crawling all over your lap begging you to take him."
no subject
Casually under the table, he used his foot to shoved it over hard. The cups clattered to the floor along with everything else on it.
"I suggest you keep your lies to yourself Mr.Agatsuma. Unless you would like to challenge me to a duel."
no subject
Perhaps that was sending a message, very subtly, to Seimei.
He replaced the cup calmly on the table. "I do not lie, Aoyagi Seimei. Furthermore, I have no intention to duel you. If something were to happen at my hand, Ritsuka would be quite displeased."
no subject
Seimei quietly picked up his cup which had not been ruined from his outburst. He scooped enough of the sugar laced with cyanide into the cup to kill him and stirred. It wasn't much at all.
"Now the love between family members is far stronger. When others leave, family is always there. I'm guessing it's poison that you would have dared to try because unlike that elderly gentleman, you are afraid of me."
He took a sip. It was surprisingly sweet. Seimei downed the rest of the cup.
"It doesn't matter in the end, because you will be left holding a smoking gun."
The poison really didn't give him much time at all. Less than he would have expected but just enough. He died.
no subject
Damn it. Why would someone spite himself this much? Soubi narrowed his eyes and glanced up at the contents spread across the table. This wouldn't look good for him. Though he could help his case a bit, even now.
He reached into his own sleeve to withdrawal the vial of poison, moving to tuck it into Seimei's sleeve instead. Ritsuka wouldn't believe him... Seimei would lie about it when he woke...
'...unlike that elderly gentleman, you are afraid of me.'
Hubb. Soubi needed Hubb.
