Summary: Seimei meets The Major..
the Story: Seimei really has no intention to meet anyone. However in roaming the mansion it's bound to happen that one is found or stumbled upon. The sacrifice sits in the tea room next to table supporting a pot of relatively untouched cold tea and ignored pastries. His eyes are focused on the piece of literature but as always he is armed...just in case.

"Solitude is less than productive."

He snickered, ahh the follies of youth.

"I have none, so we're halfway there Seimei."

"Then why do you insist on having as much of it?"

Seimei snaps his book shut. The sacrifice is definitely considering leaving this person means nothing to him.

"Am I suppose to be surprised that you know my name? I've made no move to hide it from any of you animals."

"Am I insisting? I was merely having tea, and you started the conversation." He was of the opinion that the boy was less than useful to him as he was. Perhaps if he has a way to collect a sample...

"No, why would you be?"

And then he laughs, "Animals? How amusing from an untermensch with cat's ears. But perhaps you're hiding a worth you haven't cared to divulge?"

"My worth is none of your concern. Whatever You're scheming I am not playing along."

Seimei gets up to leave. He's not interested in the game the Major is playing, he senses that something is off.

"Answering my questions with more questions will get you nothing."

"No, I don't think it is. It was curiosity, your ears disappeared and reappeared, do you know why?"

"And I did answer, I have no reason to think you would be suprised. But you were the one who brought up names, one would think they were quite obvious."

How odd...that he would mention it. Certainly at some point sabotage had been involved but how much was always questionable. The guilty parties hadn't made themselves known and those outside of his circle of acquaintances hadn't noticed..How odd indeed.

"Your mention of this is quite odd...Are you suggesting a certain responsibility?"

Seimei will ignore the second part for now.

As I recaell, our roommate was rumored to have been responsible, was that not true?"

"It's been quite awhile since that happened. There have been several 'similar' incidents. The animals of the mansion are flighty creatures quick to move on and forget. If you leave something alone long enough and the list of suspects slowly starts to dwindle....I also did not mention my ears were back on the network.

How odd is that a man I've never personally met..is watching for a purpose entirely unknown."

"I keep track of such oddities, I am a scientist." He stirred his tea idly. "No, you did not, but I have eyes, and there they are."

"I watch the network, there's nothing else to do here. You are no more interesting than any of the other sheep here."

"I never said I was important. In your case, I think I prefer not being important. So you are watching them all and you're a scientist? Just what kind of science are you meddling in?"

Seimei doesn't buy your innocence Major.

"I'm aware that you didn't. Isn't that nice, we agree." He took another sip of sweetened tea. "I was studying the midian, and seeking to replicate her powers. I was interrupted however."

"How interesting for you.. I believe it's time for me to be elsewhere..away from you."

The sacrifice leaves the tea room. He won't forget this conversation..this is hardly over.

How very interesting indeed. It may be about time to make some adjustments.
