i tear it apart time and time again...

Who: Vincent Nightray [[livejournal.com profile] needsnosanity and OPEN
Where All abouts the mansion
When: All day March 15th
Rating: PG
Summary: Vincent's "little alien friend" is out to terrorize Vincent wherever he goes, but it's little trick might affect the whole house...
the Story:

For how long had the little creature been following him? Too long. Where did it go and what did it do when he wasn't looking and it seemed to disappear? He hadn't the slightest clue. In fact, Vincent hadn't cared at all the first time. It had been a great reprieve from his tormentor, although, it didn't seem as bad as some of the others sounded.

That was what he thought before he had gone to the library (little alien not two feet behind him), and found a stuffed bear in his usual chair in one of the corners.

But the issue wasn't the stuffed bear being in his seat. It was that Vincent personally knew this bear. It had become intimate with his scissors. And yet, here it was, crudely sewn back together, by seemingly clumsy hands. And that was only the beginning of a series of nearly fifty stuffed animals that had been placed in other various places around the house, some cleverly hidden, and others in plain sight, all sewn back together.

It was only morning when this sick game began, but Vincent could already feel a headache coming on as he began wandering, trying to collect the decrepit things, some of which had been sewn together incorrectly, with feet and arms mismatched or other body parts mis-arranged, while others seemed to have been done correctly.

ooc: He's tense, horrified and slightly paranoid, so... please feel free to pester him to the max. The animals can be in all sorts of odd places, so you can get creative or witty if you want

"Mmhm. There's always a way! Even if it's just small steps, they lead up to something."

Samemaru took a couple of the stuffed dolls he had found from the bag and placed it next to the ones Vincent had found. Then, he took another good look at the first stuffed cat. "I wonder what's the best way to take apart the limbs and stuff without damaging it more..."

He took the tool with a nod and a thanks. Taking off the detachable skates from his shoes, he sat down on the ground (while making sure not to sit on Standard) and began working to take the stiches out as carefully as he could. Once he had taken out all the stitches, he laid out the piece of the cat on the ground, trying to keep the cotton in place as best as he could.

"Do you think we should use white thread, black thread or navy thread?" he asked, looking towards Vincent from where he sat. The cat itself was navy, but the aliens had used red and yellow threads while sewing it. Samemaru was trying to think if the stitches should blend in with the doll or have it purposely stand out.

Samemaru picked up the navy thread and compared it with the kitty. After a moment, he nodded and smiled. "Mmhm, you're right! The cat seems happier with matching stitches too," he said, setting the arm the down and threading the needle.

After a few tries, he got the thread in, and he carefully began to sew back the doll together. He wasn't quick with it, but he wasn't terrible enough to poke himself with a needle everytime. Housework was something he learned while staying at the dorm from the dorm mother. His face softened with recollection as he remembered the days where the two had sat together to patch back ripped uniforms and such.

"That was what I was thinking too." Samemaru stopped the needle for a moment, and set the half-patched up cat on his lap. He stared at it and tilted his head, trying to think of a good name that fit the doll.

"Do you have any particular input on his name, Vincent-san?" Samemaru asked, after a minute or so of thinking hard. He couldn't quite make up his mind on the name that fit the doll, so he thought asking Vincent's opinion seemed good.

"Rue...Hm.... I think it's a fine name too! Rue it is! Thank you, Vincent-san!" Samemaru said, holding the doll up high to look at it. "Don't worry, Rue. We'll finish getting you fixed up and you'll look nice again!"

Setting it back down on his lap, he took another part of Rue's limb and began to sew. After 20 or so minutes, he finished repairing the doll completely. "There! All done, Rue!"
