Family talk
Who: Ritsuka and Seimei
Where Seimei's room
When: Aug 18 (2am)
Rating:I for - oh wait, no, it's just PG, maybe PG-13
Summary: Ritsuka found out in a very bad way about what his brother has been up to. They talk.
the Story:
The younger boy made his way to his brother's room. Really, it wasn't exactly that he hadn't wanted to talk to Seimei. It was that he felt betrayed for believing in him and having that trust betrayed ... again. He'd trusted that Seimei would tell him the important things at least. That he'd earned that right by being here. By trusting him even though he knew he was being lied to. Now he knew he would never have that trust. he obviously wasn't worthy of it.
He stopped a few feet away from the door, turning to look in the mirror and frowning. There were no outward signs of what he'd been though in the zeppelin, and no facial expression that showed how hurt he really felt. After all, he wasn't important enough for Seimei not to abandon if he became upset with him. He'd already done that once, no, twice. He leaned further into the mirror and glared. He didn't know if the Ritsuka on the other side was watching or listening, but he glared anyway. "How do you do it?" He asked quietly. As if the mirror would answer him at all.
In the end he just sighed and straightened himself up, composing himself before finishing the walk and knocking on Seimei's door. He wondered if the older boy would try to feed him again. Everyone seemed to want to feed him when he couldn't actually eat anymore.

He would have liked to have told Ritsuka but the pact between himself and Kyouya had also been important. Seimei thought he would have had a chance to break the news to Ritsuka first and immediately when the chance arose but it had not worked out that way in the end.
The sacrifice opens door to his room. He has Dorine in one hand and immediately offers her to Ritsuka to hold.
"I'm glad you came." He presses his lips to Ritsuka's forehead. "How are things?"

"No, I did fine during this event for once." Seimei has had far more practice in it than his younger brother. He's older after all and involved in things that are complicated. "Did you stay with Soubi after his alert on the network?"
Seimei uses the blonde's name for the first time in a quite long time. Partially by instinct and in an attempt to not upset Ritsuka anymore than necessary.

"As much as I could." He frowned, looking down at Dorine. It was the truth ... mostly. He stayed with Soubi till he was taken by the Major. "Did the - Hibari, take care of you?" He kept away from telling him about what Hibari had said during the event. It wasn't good to upset Seimei after all.

"And where were you when you weren't with him? No, Hibari didn't take care of me. That's not his job, it's mine." Seimei's ears flatten a bit in annoyance. He doesn't like being taken care of by anyone. Even his own fighter would be hard pressed. "I went to Hubb in order to learn how to protect myself better. I think it's worked well so far."

"Ritsuka. I know you know about Hibari's relationship with me. Yes, we are dating again and if we hadn't made a pact I would have told you first. I intended to if the truth ever came out. You found out in the wrong way and for that I am sorry. Hibari is not my fighter and I don't need to be taken care of. I wage my own wars if he's inclined to help then so be it but I will fight myself if I have to.
I also know you are hiding something and it's not hard to see. The Major was boasting during the event and no one knew where he was. You clearly were not around Soubi the entire time."
The older brother gently takes Dorine from his hands and sets her down on the ground.
"You saw the Major again didn't you?"

He looked to the mirror in Seimei's room. It showed the two of them standing there, but that was as far from the truth as it could be. Seimei was in that man's world. How else would Ryohei have known and Ritsuka not. Because he saw Seimei more. " And I never expected to be told if you were with that man. You never told me before." There was a subtle hint of what he wasn't saying, that he wasn't important to his brother. He was trying to hide it though. "It doesn't matter what happened during the event. It's done. That's what Hubb said."
