Glee Club || First Meeting!
Who: Kurt Hummel [
thisisherson], Santana Lopez [
itsahotone], Finn Hudson [
balladtodadsurn], and open to ANYONE else who wanted to come join glee club. I'll add more names as they show up
Where The music room, first floor.
When: Wednesday October 13th, in the early evening.
Rating: TV-14. ...uh, I mean. PG/PG-13 depending how scandalous you folks get
Summary: Rachel's diva-out is lasting a little longer than usual, so Kurt's decided to continue glee club himself. TIME FOR THE FIRST OFFICIAL MEETING WITH HOPEFULLY MORE THAN TWO PEOPLE.
the Story:
Kurt would forever mourn the lack of an auditorium in the mansion. The ball room would do in a pinch, but it just wasn't the same as having a stage with lights in your eyes.
But the choir room? Kurt could recreate that in the music room simply enough. He spent some time before everyone was set to arrive moving most of the instruments to one side of the room, and lining up all of the chairs in rows on the other. The lack of risers was disappointing, but manageable. The decor of the music room screamed Victorian England at him, and while it was a vast improvement on what McKinley High had to offer, he was not sure it was what he would have gone with, had he been able to design it himself. It was grand though, and that's what he was hoping for Wonderland's glee club. Something grand.
It had garnered more than a little interest from the rest of the residents, and no one had threatened to slushie him over it or find a Mansion equivalent of tossing him in a dumpster. Still, he was reserved in his excitement, just in case he somehow dreamed that people were actually interested in Glee of their own accord.
It didn't keep him from sitting in the front row, one leg delicately crossed over the other, and staring at the doorway, as though it would make someone show up. He fixed his hair. He examined his nails. He wished he had a magazine.
This was proving to be one of the longest waits of his life.
[ooc: Feel free to action tag or prose log or whatever you want to do. He's going to hold off on trying to actually start the club until more people actually show up. Once we get a few arrivals, he'll make a new thread for actually starting the club and introducing it and stuff. Everyone's welcome, even if they haven't talked to Kurt about it before hand or anything. HAVE FUN GUYS. ♥
EDIT OMG YOU GUYS I'M SORRY I WAS MISSING A FEW WORDS IN THE PROSE. It's totally in the music room. Sorry for the confusion! I'll be around to tag in a minute or two, I just wanted to make a quick note. ;;;;;]

That didn't mean she was happy when she walked in.
"Oh my God, I'm the first one here?" This was horrible for her rep.
no subject
But he gave her a strange look. After all, it wasn't like anyone would care about her rep here, in a mansion in Wonderland, in who knows where. But it was no use arguing it really.
"...Did you see anyone else coming?" He still remembers the last time they tried this, and found up with only the members from home.

"Hello...?"
orz sorry, it's the music room. I'm just stupid and forgot a crucial word.
"Hello, hello, and welcome to glee club!" he beamed at her. "It's good to have you! Really. I'm Kurt Hummel, by the way."
His enthusiasm was probably a little much, but he was just that happy to see someone else there.
Totally didn't screw-up for two characters in a row. 8|;;; ballroom just snuck in there, really
It's okaaay

"Hi! I'm Kurt Hummel; I think we spoke on the network?" He offered her his hand to shake. "Welcome to glee club!"
I stick to my story despite my short memory...!

I hope I'm not late.

No, not at all. We haven't begun yet. Welcome to glee club!

Not Sue but not that much better
Well, schools were permitted to have club activities; no reason Hibari should interfere. There was equally no reason why Hibari shouldn't make sure they knew it was only by his good graces they'd be left alone... and maybe get a bit of personal gain from it as well.
He stood in the doorway and singled Kurt out in the group as the leader. He hoped Americans could feel murderous auras.
"Under who's authority is this crowd forming?"
It wouldn't be glee club if there wasn't a Sue. 8|
As often as Kurt has dreamed of a hostile takeover of glee club, in which he gives himself and Mercedes every solo and forces Mr. Schuester to not only get his muffler fixed, but acknowledge that they were the only ones appropriate to serve as leads for Regionals, Kurt was not an experienced leader. To the point where he glanced around the room with wide eyes first, before remembering that no one else is going to step up, since he organized all of this.
He stood with his hands on his hips and took a deep breath.
"Under mine," he said. "Can I help you with something?"
Now Hibari needs a kitten plan...

"Hi~ Is this where the music club something another is?"

"That it is!" he said, approaching and extending his arm for a handshake. "Welcome to glee club. We're glad to have you. We'll be starting soon, now that there's at least a small handful of us here."
"Oh and this?" Kurt points up and down Haru, in reference to his outfit. "I approve wholeheartedly." How can he not when he owns a number of clothes himself that have leather straps? He just had to make mention of it.

It makes me sad that I have nobody to sign up for this, so please accept my audience contribution
Curiously she peeks her head through the door.
You know, I always knew the show was missing something important - crocodiles
Then, he turned around. And he pales.
His brain just can't handle this. He turns right back around like he never saw anything.
"That..."
I will keep my fingers crossed for them to add some this season!

Hopefully there aren't any auditions to this, because she's not here to sing, after all. Just to help out if she can.

"I'm glad you decided to come," he says. With a smile and a small gesture, he adds. "And that your hair isn't unfortunately colored anymore."

"So, like, where's my solos?!"

He sounds exasperated with her already, and he's only known her in person for about ten seconds. This doesn't really bode well.

His current favorite is a violin, old but elegante, that requires tuning. Pikachu's ears are extremely sensitive, so he listens carefully as he twists the pegs until each string plays a nice note. If only he could play a violin! He can only pluck the strings in fascination, enjoying the sounds, while dreaming about playing in a real orchestra.
It's a silly dream, but it's a nice one at the same time.

"Oh my god, it's real."

GLEE TIME KIDS
Kurt interrupts any remaining gossiping by raising his hand, politely demanding everyone's attention. He's sitting on a stool in front of a white board (which has totally been there from the beginning) that reads INTRODUCTIONS. He has one leg crossed carefully over the other, and his hands are placed on his knees in a delicate pose.
"As you all may know, this is Wonderland's new, official glee club," he says. "If you missed the memo, it is a show choir, where we sing and dance choreographed numbers."
He's trying, very, very hard not to look at the crocodile just chilling in the room.
"It's a little difficult to get an idea of what we should be doing without taking the time to get to know each and every one of you, as well as your tastes and musical ranges," he continues. "So...I believe this first meeting would be an opportune time to get better acquainted. Everyone will introduce themselves, tell us all a little bit about yourselves, and if you have something prepared for today, you're welcome to sing it for the class, if you will."
"Well then," he straightens his posture and smiles. It's taking a lot to resist the urge to take the first turn
but he'll get his chance later. "Is there anyone who would like to go first?"He looks around the room, from member to member.
He doesn't look at Linda though. Nope.

FIRST REPLY TO THIS THREAD YEAH i'm so important
"Hey there. My name's Sora and I'm from Destiny Islands. I'm fifteen, and I haven't been singing long. I started in Atlantica, an underwater world, and Sebastian the crab was my teacher. I sang a lot with the princess, Ariel. So that's me!"
Yeah, he sounds totally crazy to people who know and remember The Little Mermaid, but Sora's not worried about that. What he's done is completely normal!

WHOO, GLEE TIME :D
So it took a lot of emotional effort to get himself up in front of all those people, as good as he was at hiding that nervousness behind a confident smile. He'd dressed somewhat ahead of his time today (though still rather behind most people's), with dark brown breeches, tall boots, and a white blouse and short cape embroidered with flowers and tied with red ribbon.
"Hey," he said, sounding casual and in control despite the butterflies in his stomach. "So I'm like, the Kingdom of Poland. I'm five hundred-ish, I've got a wicked awesome place south of the Baltic sea but we can't go there 'cause the Queen's lame, and I rock hard at farming and horseback riding. Ummm, as far as music, most of what there is in my time is like, hymns and chants and stuff, but I've totally been checking out some of the stuff my people do in the future, y'know, like, in the library. And I think it's pretty cool. I guess there's probably a lot I haven't heard of, but I'm totally gonna learn more!" With the CD player Elaine gave him months ago. It made him feel a little less like he was avoiding her.
"So yeah, I like, picked a song some of my people wrote... kinda closer to the time everyone else seems to come from, 'cause I like Church music, but it's kinda slow, you know? Um, here goes."
He hits the play button on his little boombox, and goes into his musical number (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBMz9upWd0k). The translation is here (http://skadipirate.blogspot.com/2010/08/poland-big-cyc-bad-luck-like-pole.html), but to cut a long story short, the gist is that Poland has shit for luck but it's cool because there's still time to keep making things better; presumably, thanks to ~Wonderland Magic~, people could understand it. When the music ended, he glanced around at everyone, trying not to look too shy or awkward.
"So, like... I guess that's it!"

Oh god it sounds like a resume. "But I'm really glad to be here! I've never been in a club before, and, well, it looks like it'll be fun."
"So, uhh, yeah."
