Tim Helsing to the rescue! [OPEN]

Where: The tenth floor to the kitchen
What: Tim has taken it upon himself to dress like an idiot and lead a group of humans to the kitchen for sustinance
Rating: PG-13 for any vampire attacks

((OOC: Anyone is welcome to join. There's two threads: the journey to the kitchen where any humans can join in, just say what floor you're coming from and all that, and any vampire's can thread jack for random encounters, and a separate thread for the final stand in the kitchen. Feel free to join in at any point on the journey or lie in wait in the kitchen.))

Tim, still wearing this, had stocked up on knives, filled his jacket with wooden stakes, and shot his ridiculous crossbow gun off the balcony enough times that he felt comfortable with his aim. Now, he was ready to do battle.

Being an electronics major wasn't glamorous, it wasn't even all that interesting, but it did allow him to tap into the network and cause this music to be broadcast throughout most of the mansion. Suck on that Professor Harton who said he'd never amount to anything.

With one final look in his mirror, he grinned and left. Time to go collect his unwilling sidekick from his camera-laden base of operations and get this mission started.

"Yeah. We'll keep moving. I have someone else to pick up on the third floor."

He leaned against the wall and ducked around it. He may have been being much more over dramatic and cautious than necessary, but the only knowledge he had of vampires was through movies and video games.

Yuu watched Tim's theatrics for a second before following.

"I um...don't think you have to do that...."

Yuu should have been thankful he wasn't around for the trek TO his floor. Tim was doing barrel rolls and spy jumps and everything. He's severely toned it down now that there's someone watching.

"Yeah. Probably... probably not huh?" He grinned sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry. Getting a bit carried away."

Yuu laughed softly. "I guess it's best to enjoy the parts of it you can."

"It's rare I get to be the hero type. Better live it up while I can." He shouldered the gun and continued down the hallway. Occasionally glancing behind them in case anything was tracking them.

Tim wasn't the only one glancing back. As calm as he was trying to at least seem, being out of his room, with someone he doesn't know well, and with the possibility of being attacked along the way is kind of nerve wracking for him.

"I know what you mean. I'm not really the hero type either."

"Hey, nows our time to shine!" He grinned at the other man. This could work. A bunch of weak non-hero types against vampires?

It would make a good movie anyway.

A good movie? Yes. Yuu had his doubts that it would work out in reality, but he smiled back at Tim and nodded. "Yeah, I hope so."

"Don't think we've really met before. Great circumstances huh?" He smiled. This mansion seemed to be all about shoving people into awkward situations.

"Better than they could be, probably." He grimaced. "I'm not sure how, but I'm sure there's some way it could be worse."

"If there's one thing I learned here, it can ALWAYS be worse." He was finally relaxing just a bit. It was still early enough in the event that most of the vampires could contain themselves.

Maybe this had actually been a good idea. If he.lived through this, he was gonna be proud of this one.

"One of us could be a vampire." Yuu shrugged.

"True. You holding out on me there?" He kept his voice light, but he eyed the other man uncomfortably.

Yuu shook his head, and to prove it, bared his teeth for Tim. See? No fangs.

"It's safe. Besides, I don't think a vampire can take blood from another vampire." He pointed to the marks on his neck.

"Youch!" He offered a sympathetic smile. "Who got you?"

"A friend of mine." He shrugged it off with a small smile. "I don't really mind, since it's not like it's his choice. It just uh...would have been nice if he'd warned me first."

"Does it .. hurt?" Because being bitten in the neck sounds pretty damn painful.

"Not anymore. It did when he first bit me, though." Really, the part where his blood was being forced to flow in the wrong direction had been worse than the bite itself. "It started healing really fast, at least."

"Huh." Still, it looked pretty painful even though it was nearly healed. "You're not ... going to turn into one are you?"

"...I don't think so." That hadn't occurred to him. "If I was, it would have happened by now, right?"

"I don't know. I'd think so." But all his knowledge was based off of movies. "It think you'd have to drink his blood back or something."

He makes a face at the idea. Gross. "I definitely didn't do that."

"Good. I don't want you suddenly attacking me." He certainly didn't want to be bitten, but he had the additional concern that he was pretty sure his blood would be toxic, and if it didn't outright kill Yuu, it would at least make him pretty sick.

"Cool." But maybe it was better to be safe. "Lemme know if you start feeling all vampish. We can muzzle you."
