Who: Vivi Orunitia
born_from_mist, Sollux Captor
aquarium_tipper
Where: The Attic
When: Sat Feb 25
Rating: G.. PG for troll swearing
Summary: People (?) with speech impediments go to the Attic
The Story:
Still nervous about heights, Vivi wasn't sure if he really wanted to go to the roof or not. He'd never been up there before... but he never saw how big Wonderland really was. When he got to the set of doors that led to outside and the attic, the black mage wasn't sure which one he was supposed to take.
Having two doors so close to each other seemed a little odd... but after some thinking he reached up and turned the doorknob to the door on the side. The air seemed a little musty... but he made his way in a bit hesitantly; mostly afraid of how high he would be compared to everything else.

He had opened the door to the sound of the door next to him closing. Weird. But everything else was so quiet and surely those stories that lusii told young grubs about ghosts in the attic were false. (Sollux reasoned that A) his lusus was extraordinarily dumb anyway and B) he didn't even have an attic at home)
But he had to know.
He turned the sister door's handle and peered inside. "...Ith thomeone there?"
no subject
The sound of the door being opened again caused Vivi to turn, brushing one of the covers and sending dust into the air.
"Uhm...I-I'm h-"
His words were cut off with a sneeze.
no subject
He waited for any future sneezing to happen, for the dust to clear, and until he was able to locate Vivi. Freaking humans. They'd all been so tall that it was almost like second nature now to look up instead of eye level or lower.
"You're having a itthue? Yeah, I could pretty mutch tell."
no subject
Though part of him was relieved. He really didn't want to see how people looked from all these floors above the ground, even if he could see what was around the residence. He went to brush some of the old dust off of his jacket before he stopped. It would just get in his face again and make him have another sneezing fit.
no subject
"You're about tuu thtepth tu far, bro." He half-heatedly motioned in the proper direction, that is, next door. "If you're looking for thomeone, thereth no one up there."
no subject
"O-Oh, uhm, thanks... I-I didn't know this room was here before. I wonder what it i-is?"
So. He knew how to get to the roof but he was holding back a little bit. It would be rude to suddenly leave the person he was talking to.
...
He'd talk a little more. To be polite.
no subject
Technically with another question, so sue him.
"Ackthually," he stepped back into the room while adjusting his shades, "it lookth like a pretty thweet plathe." Specifically his gaze was focused on the sky-high piles of things everywhere. So many things. So many piles.
no subject
Though Vivi never actually saw or heard of anyone bringing things upstairs. And it seemed that the piles were there for a good long time.
"Do you think this is, uhm...th-the Queen's stuff?"
no subject
Not that any of this pertained to his immediate interests, but hey.
no subject
He thought for a moment. He hadn't heard much of anything lately about the Queen and if she did disappear... then it would be wrong for people to be claiming her belongings.
"If she comes b-back she might want these things. I-I mean... they might be important t-to her."

no subject
"Uhm... St-Stealing is wrong."
The other must have been talking about taking things. ...Surely.
no subject
"I'll keep that in mind, thankth. Not that any of thith ith relvant tuu my interetth--" Even though he said this, he was still reaching towards a stack of boxes. He touched them and, oh, Vivi, babby, can you dodge quickly?
"...Thhit."
no subject
no subject
"Tiny dude? Are you under there?"
no subject
"Ow... I-I'm--"
He was cut off by a series of sneezes again. So much dust!
"I'm okay." Vivi started to push some of the boxes away from him.
no subject
Half of him wanted to help. The other half wanted to psionic the fuck out there, because hey, Vivi had no idea who he was and he could make sure to keep it that way.
Halves were a hard thing to choose.
"Here." He started to move boxes. "Damn, where the hell are you?"
no subject
Maybe if he tried to crawl out... well, no. That didn't work out too well with more boxes shifting to get in his way. And his hat was slipping so the mage pulled on the brim of it to keep it on his head.
no subject
The boxes raised, psychically.
no subject
"..."
He didn't know there was a spell like that.
"Thanks. Y-you can use magic too?"
no subject
"What are you thaying?" He peered under the boxes and down to Vivi's level. Moving them higher just made too much sense.
"That magic ith real? Thith ith mind powerth, dude." Why yes, he had just described something as 'mind powers'.
no subject
"Y-Yeah, magic is real..." Vivi dusted himself off when he stood back up, being mindful of the boxes. "I use black magic...b-but I haven't heard of m-mind powers before."
no subject
"Ith pretty common in low clathh trollth." Sollux shrugged, shoving his hands into his pockets. He didn't want to outwardly appear so, but the whole magic prospect was exciting. Like. Glubbing exciting.
Even if he was sure magic was fake.
"Whathh it like? Picth or it didn't happen."
no subject
He was a little reluctant on showing anyone any magic. Despite he had fought some monsters Vivi still didn't feel too confident... plus he didn't want to accidentally damage anything in the room.
"I-It's hard to explain."
no subject
It was all a part of his humor, honestly.
no subject
Maybe if he concentrated really hard to make sure it was a small spell and not a normal one... he should be okay.
"Uhm... I-I'll try. ...F-Fire."
He held his hands apart while his magic gathered and created a small fireball between his gloves.
no subject
He came to one conclusion alone.
"Tho magic. Doeth it happen every time you thay the word?"
no subject
What was the word he wanted to use? Thinking to himself, Vivi extinguished the flames between his hands by letting the spell spend itself out.
"I-I guess if I think about what magic spell I w-want to use... it works."
no subject
The smile was real, oversized teeth flashing and all.
no subject
It still surprised him a bit. Wonderland seemed to be full of magic, even those communication...devices... that Mister Minato showed him how to use. They seemed to use some sort of magic too.
no subject
That troll urge to go through piles was getting to him again, so he shoved it aside in favor of badgering Vivi more. "Doeth everyone in your world have magic? Maybe thath why no one elthe doeth."
no subject
Vivi looked at his gloved hands. That spell didn't go so badly after all.
