Who: Nick Hardaway and Neophyte Redglare
Where: Somewhere on Skaia's surface
When: Sometime during the event
Rating: R for intended murder, potential death and possible swearing
Summary: Nick and Redglare look for a quest bed after she read something interesting in the literature found on Skaia.
The Story:

She has never been one for power with no purpose, and she wouldn't seek it if she didn't know what she was going to do with it. Knight of Mind is some sort of fighting class, and she feels her power grow the longer she fights and the longer she has them. She can read the flux and flow of the minds of these monsters and alter her battle strategies to them. She could be unbeatable and it would make the law so much easier.

She wants to bring the law to Wonderland. To use it to keep others safe and others in prison. It's hard to do that. It's hard and no one understands.

Except Nick. Well, not really. Nick is along because he thinks it might be fun. It's fine with her though. She isn't exactly okay with murdering him on the quest bed. They may have to have a talk about it first.

Nick is burdened with a heavily laden picnic basket, the sort of accessory he'd find laughable if not for the already absurd circumstances. All this talk of knights and thieves--honestly, it's laughable. Except for how the world seems to have changed around them, with these strange abilities and levels and rolls.

It's just bizarre enough for him to accept and continue on with.

"Are we close?" he eventually asks, not quite sure what they're looking for in the first place. He can be a quiet companion of course, but there's only so long he can follow before he starts to become curious.

Nick is rather uncertain as to where, exactly, they're heading. Redglare has been almost infuriating vague about their destination, leaving him to follow and try and keep pace with her.

"Dare I ask where we're going? Or is it a surprise?"

He's making light of things, but part of him is honestly curious. Without really meaning to he gets the vague impression that it's somewhere important, at least to her, and she definitely knows where she's going. It's only a sense of politeness that keeps him from actively pushing into her mind for the answer.
