Crash landing is the only way to make an entrance.
Who: Tony Stark, and anyone who comes across him.
Where: Somewhere on the front lawns.
When: July 2
Rating: G most likely
Summary: Tony arrives.
[Tony remembers hitting the ground, he also remembers JARVIS trying to tell him something was interfering with the suit. Everything between these two events are hazy]
...JARVIS?
Sir?
Where are we? And how did something manage to down the suit without touching it?
I am unable to pin point our location, sir. There is no data on what caused the suit to fail. Apart from superficial scratches, it seems that the thrusters are currently offline.
Well fix it, JARVIS.
It seems to be wiring damage, there's nothing I can do, sir.
Good thing we're on the ground then.
[Tony sits up on his elbows and looks around the area, seeing a building not too far away, then he slowly gets up. Opening his mask and looking down at the scratches]
When we get back to the tower, I really need to work on a paint that's harder to scratch off.
Keeping focused on the priorities, like always, sir.
Just focus on finding out where we are, JARVIS.
It may take some time.
I don't care, do it.
At once, sir.

Tony gives a loud but indifferent sniff.
"My price is more than most government expenditure can allow for"

He has no idea what SHIELD is but by the name and the fact that Tony is involved with it, it must be an organization for people of similar conflict management skills. He's pretty sure he can guess what sorts of things they might have in a file on him. Not entirely different from what he knows his files with the Yard say about him.

Tony gave him a smirk. He knew first hand what people would do for money, even when they had more than they needed in the first place. To him the adage 'money makes the world go round' was a fact more than it was a cynical saying.

Money has never interested Sherlock. It's the work that makes his world go 'round. Money is John's concern.

"An interesting application of lore in real-life. So you'll continue to require alarming amounts of useless money in exchange for your service? Interesting."

Tony pats his behind, where he knows his wallet is in his jeans pocket under the suit.

Because he's in a bit of a war, here. It hasn't started yet but it's good to know what cards are available no matter the game.

"Hmm, well. Half price on my first consultation. How about that?"
After everything they've said, Tony was beginning to find Sherlock just as interesting as Sherlock found him.

He smirks and gestures inside the dining room.
"I'm sure you can figure out the corndog mechanics from here."

Tony wastes no time wandering into the dining room. Thinking of cheeseburgers and corn dogs, looking pleased with the look of the food as it appears on the table.
"Looks good, now for the ultimate test"
Without even sitting down, Tony picks up a corn dog and takes a bit out of it.
"Yup, just like I remember it. Not hot enough and greasy."
He took another bite, obviously content with his seemingly gross carnival snack.

"My room's the 21st on the second floor. More my office, really. I solve puzzles should you find any worth my energies."
no subject
"I'm sure I could find you something."
He pauses then takes another bite before swallowing and continuing.
"Okay. So we'll operate on your theory of being unable to get out of here. Am just getting a place of my own or is there a hotel deal? What's the deal?"
no subject
"Oh, has that not been explained already? Hn. You can chose anywhere that is unoccupied from the first to tenth floor and claim it as your own. It will furnish itself according to your desires much like all the other magical things here. You don't pay, you don't have a lease, you simply stay here."

He shifts to standing with his hands clasped behind his back, watching.

Tony starts thinking to himself as he picks up a burger mumbling to himself, mostly about thinking up top of the line parts to build a computer suitable for JARVIS. As he thought he stared at Sherlock without actually looking at him.

Tony then smirks at Sherlock.
"There has never been a time in my life where I've ever had to pay for that."
no subject
"Probably never been a time in your life where some 'lucky' woman wasn't available to volunteer. You'll find your selection of eligible women rather limited, though."
no subject
Tony finished his burger.
"That or become more experimental. If I run out of something to drink."
no subject
"Lucky for everyone, there's an inexhaustible amount of alcohol on hand." He smiles one of his more fake smiles. "Well, I have everything I came for. Welcome to Wonderland."

Tony nods at the consulting detective, with an easy grin as he picks up another burger.
"Everything you came for, huh? Why do I feel like I have to charge, so I don't feel slutty?"
He chuckles.
"See you 'round, Holmes. Thanks for the welcome."
