Summary: Everyone is stuck with their memories. And some other people.
The Story:
This log's pretty straightforward. There is one thread per group for the first day or two of the event, before people are able to leave their initial dream bubble groupings. ♥ If you have any questions, grab a mod on AIM.

EDIT: The mods have decided to let everyone continue with phase two of the event in this one log, since there's overlap between being stuck in the bubbles and moving between them.

So if you're posting to a group thread that isn't your initial group, just your thread with what day of the event it takes place on so people will know it's not from the first day or so.

Yuu looks up in surprise at James's greeting, and although it and James are glaringly out of place, they somehow don't seem that odd. James even seems vaguely familiar, though Yuu can't imagine where from, since he's pretty sure he's never met a foreigner in his life.

"Ah...yeah. For some friends."

[pottershotter]

James nods along understandingly, and then invites himself to sit on the bench next to Yuu. He plops his coat next to him (but away from Yuu), still wet from melted snow.

"Were they supposed to meet you here or something?"

"Yeah." Yuu leans forward a little, taking in the coat and scarf. "Um...you know Japan's warm in the summer, right?"

This foreigner speaks really good Japanese, so it's a little surprising that he doesn't seem to be aware of the country's climate. Unless there's some other explanation...

[pottershotter]

"Well, I sure know now!"

James laughs, and runs his hand through his damp hair. Since he's already figured out this is bizarre, he assumes that everyone else from the mansion has as well. This is just another grand adventure for him, and he's having fun with it.

He then gestures in the direction he came from, with a grin.

"It's winter up the street there. You should really see it sometime!"

Wow. How does Yuu even respond to this. He'd always figured stuff about foreigners being weird was just stereotyping.

"...How is that possible?"

Then again, he can't shake this weird feeling that strange stuff like this isn't out of the ordinary.

Well, if would be terrible stereotyping, if James wasn't in fact a very weird foreigner by most people's standards anyway. James just shrugs though, because it really isn't out of the ordinary.

"Magic, I assume," he says. "That's usually what it is here, isn't it?"

Here being Wonderland, of course.

"....No. Not that I know of."

Yuu fidgets with his phone a little, like he's seriously considering making some excuse and getting up and leaving very quickly.

Of all things, that is what makes James quirk an eyebrow in Yuu's direction.

"No? Are you new to Wonderland then? Is this your first event?"

That seems like a good explanation...but not the right one. He shakes his head before Yuu can even answer.

"No, that can't be it," he decides. "I'm certain I've seen you around before."

Yuu thinks that's unlikely. After all, he's pretty sure that to a foreigner, all Japanese people would look the same, just like vice versa.

"...I really have no idea what you're talking about."

But there's this nagging feeling that he does. Or should.

Well, normally, he probably would. But Yuu's different. He's yuunique unique, because he's been stuck in Wonderland just like James. He's sure he's seen Yuu in the background doing whatever it is Yuu does.

"I'm talking about Wonderland." That earns Yuu a deadpan look, because he literally just said that a minute ago. "This is one of those events, like that time we all were Hogwarts students for a few days, or when that fog rolled in."

Something dawns on James though, and he looks a bit more excited about this conversation.

"This must be your world then, isn't it? Or, well. Sort of. As much as it can be, I guess. Where are we?"

[last_liar]

Yuu frowns in confusion, making an honest effort to decipher what any of this means. It seems familiar, in a way that makes his thoughts feel itchy and restless.

"Ah...this is Setagaya. In Tokyo."

[pottershotter]

"Tokyo! That's Japan, right?"

James looks positively delighted by this news.

"Huh. I never thought I'd get to see Japan." Well, theoretically he could go whenever he wanted because he's both wealthy and magical, but with the war going on it was never really something he'd had a chance to consider.

"I'm from England, by the way," he adds, as if Yuu couldn't tell James was from somewhere else. "But I'm sure we both got stuck in that Wonderland place. Are you sure it doesn't ring a bell?"

[last_liar]

Yuu rubs at his temple and forehead. "It...does. I think."

Wonderland sounds very familiar, important, but remembering that means remembering something terrible. He doesn't know what it is, though. It's like standing at the edge of a cliff with nothing but darkness below.

To distract himself, he looks at his phone again. "...Everyone's really late."

James tries to peek over at Yuu's phone, but never really fully understands what it is, aside from being some Muggle thing sort of like the journals in Wonderland.

"Maybe they're all just stuck wherever they wound up," he says. "When I woke up I was in Hogsmeade, but then it started to feel a bit strange, so I wandered here. Maybe they just haven't gotten to that wandering part yet."

And maybe Yuu hasn't either, but it seems like a gentle enough nudge in that direction.

[last_liar]

"No, I mean--" Yuu pauses, frowning. "I mean, we were supposed to meet awhile ago. It's the first time we've met in person, so we're just going to do karaoke, I think..."

He trails off. They weren't going to do karaoke, they had done it. And after that--

"...Oh."

Yuu blinks several times, stunned.

"I remember now."

Blood starts to seep through his sweatshirt in several places along his chest and stomach, vivid against the white.

[pottershotter]

James' expression immediately changes at the sight of blood.

"Hey, are you alright? Hey!"

Obviously not, but the question comes out anyway. He looks around them to see if someone nearby had cursed him, but they probably would have heard something, wouldn't they?

He isn't sure what's going on, but his hand is already in his pocket, ready to get out his wand if there's anything he can do to help.

[last_liar]

"Yeah." Yuu looks down and puts a hand over one of the stab wounds. Oddly, they don't hurt. "I'm okay. I'm just dead."

He looks at James again and his eyes have gone a blank white.

[pottershotter]

That actually calms James a little. Not much, but a little. Enough to just make him be confused and sort of concerned.

"So...are you a ghost then?"

He's pretty sure that's not how ghosts work, but how else would he be dead and able to talk to him?

"...I guess so."

Yuu frowns a little.

"I don't think I was a ghost before this, though."
