[EVENT] ▫ 運命は美しく ▫
Who: Arisato Minato [
jivitadana] and Aikawa Yuu [
last_liar]
Where: Room 305. Eventually.
When: Monday, December 24
Rating: PG to PG-13
Summary: It's Christmas Eve. Minato wants to celebrate it with Yuu.
The Story:
Everything had to be perfect. But Minato knew that there wasn't any such thing as perfection... except perhaps for one person, but he was the only exception, and Minato didn't think of comparing anyone to that one person who was just that, just perfection. He hadn't minded settling for perfecting, as perfecting was the best form of perfection, or as close as he could get. Hadn't he learned that before, that it was his journey that taught him the most while he strove for the destination?
Still, Minato wanted perfection, if only to be able to match that same ideal. Minato wanted to give him everything that he could and to the best of his abilities. Perhaps he could only do so much since he was constrained by reality and time. Yet he did make the most of it. He also had learned something about time before too and making the best use of it.
Minato did one last inspection of his room, checking that everything was in place and ready. He opened his door and peeked his head out to look at the hallway. The tealights were still lit. He breathed a very soft and content sigh of relief.
Everything was all too much, wasn't it? And yet a part of Minato thought it would never, ever be enough.
Minato smiled to himself though, perhaps a bit self-deprecating. It was really now or never at this point. He was ready to put his plan into motion.
The sound of the violin (actually a traditional Thai violin, but I like the song, so let's pretend) played over the network via a private Audio message to Yuu. The only other note left for Yuu was a short message asking him to follow the trail of those small, flickering tealights that would lead the way. Minato would take care of those lights, or if not, the Mansion would clean them up after some time. No one had questioned their placement or existence in the Mansion in the first place, nor did they seem to be moved out of sequence either.

When he reached Minato's room, he knocked gently, glancing back down the hallway at the flickering path he'd taken. Like walking on stars.
no subject
"Hi. Thanks."
He led Yuu inside his room. A few of the penguin plushies that he had kept were arranged neatly on the shelf and on the bed. More tealights were around the room, and hanging from the ceiling were blue butterfly lights.

"Wow..."
no subject
"... Mn. I forgot to get you flowers."
But Minato was only teasing.
no subject
"I'm a little underdressed."
no subject
Minato was still teasing though, gently taking Yuu's hand in his own. He did lead him over to the closet where he could easily get another tuxedo.
"But there is a reason I'm dressed like this."
no subject
"Because...you look like a penguin?" He was teasing too.
no subject
Minato managed to get a tuxedo out of the closet for Yuu. He set it aside, and then kissed Yuu's forehead.
"But you're the cutest."
no subject
"Want me to get changed?"

Meanwhile Minato had set the table, just a simple setup for the two of them, but there was a candle or two as well to go along with the theme.
Once that was done, he went over to Yuu to help him... or more like just check how it was going. He smiled too, bringing his hand up near his mouth as if that would be effective in preventing him from laughing under his breath.

"I think the last time I wore something this formal was the shichi-go-san festival."
And he was only five then.

He fixed Yuu's tie for him, making sure it was even and neat. It mostly was, but Minato thought it was a good enough excuse to help Yuu with it anyway.
"We could do this again some time later."
no subject
"Yeah. If we have a reason to." He hoped they would.
no subject
Minato led Yuu back to the table. Their dinner was a little quirky, but maybe it fit in with what they normally ate together. It was just ramen that Minato had gotten from the Dining Room instead of instant.
"Is this okay?"
no subject
Anything was better than instant.
"You really went all out."
no subject
"For you."
He would do anything and everything for Yuu.
"... It's still not enough."
no subject
"I'm a little afraid of what else you could do."
no subject
But Minato moved Yuu's chopsticks and spoon closer to him so that Yuu could start eating. He hoped that it was good and that Yuu liked it. Minato wouldn't start eating until Yuu did.
no subject
"Like what?"
no subject
Minato had his own chopsticks in hand too.
"... But did you really want to know?"
no subject
no subject
"Save some room."
no subject
no subject
"Mn, if it's good, here."
