Well, Whale was a doctor, so such things like bare skin didn't particularly bother him. He was at least good enough to keep the boy decent, though. He ran his fingers over the skin that acted as the line between flesh and metal.

It was fascinating... So perfectly seamed together. Better than any prosthetic Whale knew. Then there were the parts themselves. The craftsmanship was unlike anything he saw before. Whoever built these was a master of the craft. Best of all, this was all accomplished by science.

Whale wouldn't remove the limbs; he could see that there was no hope of him doing so without damaging Edward's body. So for now he sat down and began to sketch the automail arm in detail. He needed to do this part now while Edward was unconscious.
