[saix and luxord; incomplete]
Who: Saix
falltheseventh and Luxord
stackthedeck
Where: Library
When: Evening-ish, November 6
Rating: PG-13for HOT SEX just to be safe.
Summary: Saix has issues and Luxord is a good outlet.
the Story:
It's not terribly difficult to find his way to the library; after all, he remembers what dusty old books smell like from all of the time other Nobodies spent their days with them. It's a scent that hasn't left his memories and probably never will.
Likely, it's a good thing to get out for a bit; after all, Vexen is far too stubborn to leave the room, and Saix will gladly take the initiative to exit, unless there is protest.
There isn't. He isn't certain if that's a good sign or not.
The berserker pushes the door open into the library, snorting a bit at the scent a moment. He doesn't... read much, though he certainly knows how to. It's just not his... specialty. No one's really inclined him to be well-read.

The library is practically empty at this time of the evening, so it doesn't take long for him to spot the other Nobody. "Evening, Saix," he greets the other, questions stowed away in the back of his mind as he makes his way over.
no subject
It can be a good and bad thing.
The diviner looks over his shoulder, nodding. "Evening," is spoken fairly politely, which is somewhat impressive for VII; he's not exactly reknown for his manners.
no subject
He nods and folds his arms, watching Saix for a few seconds, before replying, "I'm guessing this has something to do with the whole 'master' thing with Vexen?" Luxord hates to be horribly blunt like that, but he isn't stupid, nor is he going to beat around the bush. Efficiency is the watchword, or something like that.
no subject
Really, would there be anything else on the berserker's mind?
Saix narrows his eyes faintly, glancing away briefly before he simply responds with, "Yes."
no subject
"So, what's happened?" he asks. "I doubt you've changed your mind about your choice of master, but obviously something is amiss between the two of you." Obviously. Quite the understatement, but he doesn't say that aloud.
no subject
He pauses until he mutters, "It's not all that important." He could change his mind. Pick someone else. Vexen would actually prefer that no doubt; he had the gall to suggest he pick Sora.
"We've had a bit of a disagreement." To put lightly. "Generally, I'm useless to him; I don't know how to make this work. ...No one's really..."
He tries to think of a word. 'Reject' makes it sound much more important than it really is, whether or not it is something of a big deal to Saix.
"No one's really said 'no' to being my master before."
no subject
Luxord's eyebrows furrow a little at his next revelation. "Useless? His tendency for being overdramatic is shining through, I see. Though... in a place like this, there isn't much for a master to command their... servant, if you will, to do." He hates the word, but has no choice but to use it.
The gambler treads lightly around the subject, it being one of much irritation among VII and IV, particularly now.
"Hn. That puts you in a... rather difficult position."
no subject
Saix scowls faintly, tilting his head at an angle that suggests he's a bit unsure of how to further explain the issue.
"...Nn. Yes," he agrees reluctantly. "But I can't simply change my mind and return to Xemnas. Not with Ansem still here."
no subject
Luxord thinks for a bit, and then replies, "Ah but would Ansem be the only thing stopping you from changing your mind?" Rhetorical question. The gambler doesn't expect Saix to answer something so personal as that. "Have you tried asking Xemnas about his insight into that?"
no subject
"I don't want to change my decision -- and I have few people to choose from, anyway."
The rhetorical question gains a quirked brow, one of almost confusion; personal questions are awkward for Saix. He doesn't do personal.
"I haven't told Xemnas. I don't even know how to phrase 'I can't take your orders anymore' to him." Maybe he can't stand the idea of gaining a look of disapproval, disappointment -- all that he expects are negative. Even if it doesn't hurt, he puts himself at least into a position of being useful.
Being useless is like kicking a puppy.
"I don't know how to... meet Vexen's approval. I have to do that."
no subject
"Staying with Vexen is your best bet," he agrees, "but meeting his approval... is going to be pretty damn difficult. All the years I've known him, and well. Everything anyone does concerning him is usually wrong." He shrugs, not wanting to sound negative, but merely saying things the way he sees it.
If it were the time for such things, Luxord would be smirking at the expression on Saix's face, but he says nothing about it. If it were possible, he suspects the other Nobody would be almost allergic to personal things like that.
"Well... you're going to have to tell him eventually. At the moment he hasn't got a clue, but if he finds out from a third party..." there would be hell to pay. What exactly Xemnas's reaction will be he isn't sure, but he doesn't need to voice this; Saix would, or should, already know that. "Just tell him straight up?" he offers.
"I'm guessing that with Vexen, there's going to be a lot of trial and error on your part until you can figure out exactly how to meet his approval. There isn't really any other way around it."
no subject
Saix can remember what it's like, but he doesn't delve into it, either. He doesn't delve into any memory of emotion, obviously.
"I know. I'd rather tell him myself. It's simply... not precisely the best news one has to offer, I suppose. Nothing to balance it with."
Saix snorts faintly. "I suppose not. I've never had such a difficult master." Others were much easier to please, heart or not.
