Summary:
As announced this will be a catch-all post for shorter scenes, commercials, or things you simply don't want to make an entry for.

If you want to involve your character in anything and everything, leave a blank comment with them and see what others drag them into! Other characters will respond and set a random scene for the two (or three or seven) of you.

If you only have one particular thing in mind then set it up in a comment and wait for replies of anybody who wants to play along with the idea and stumble into that scene in their next response (or mark the thread CLOSED if you already have participants in mind)!

The Story:
Over the course of the event, everyone will be forced to act out various stereotypical roles and common tropes. The setting immediately around them will change randomly into settings from cliche popular media, complete with mediocre side-character NPCs who will never break character. It will become clear very quickly that they are expected to act out a particular role in the scene. They might be expected to be a tough cop, or a handsome sexy doctor, or someone’s evil twin come back from the dead, or any number of terrible tropes – and these tropes do not necessarily have anything to do with who the character is or what they do for a living. They could be the most innocent person and suddenly find themselves forced into the role of a hardened criminal.

D'Artagnan, for once (with the exception of the event where everything turned into tents and oddly-colored grass and streams with talking fish) is enjoying himself. This event doesn't seem to be too damaging, yet, but rather kind of fun. Bizarre, yes, but not in a harmful way, he thinks. He, at least, isn't taking it very seriously which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. So, he doesn't hide himself away, but rather wanders, hoping for some sort of new experience.

Clara's been tossed around from place to place so frequently over the past day that she's completely unimpressed when she once again is standing in unfamiliar territory. It looks like she's inside a really cheaply made house, where everything's supposed to look expensive but everyone knows it definitely isn't. Cautiously, her eyes scan around the area, trying to find a clue that might tell her where she's at. It's when she catches sight of a picture sitting over on a nearby table that dramatic music comes out of nowhere and loudly blares, causing her to jump and warily look up toward the ceiling as if it's going to contain a giant speaker.

It doesn't, unfortunately.

She's cut off from investigating further by a loud knock at the door. Praying that it's someone she knows, she creeps over to swing the door open enough to peek and see who it is. The sight of who's on the other side makes her grin and sigh in relief. The door is opened the rest of the way, and she leans against the doorframe.

"¡Gracias a Dios que eres tú!"

... huh. That's...different. Her jaw stays dropped open, and she has to reach up to push her chin so it clamps shut. The look she gives him at this point is so completely wary.

"Hablo español. ¿Por qué hablo español?"

And as if she's just asked the question of a lifetime, dramatic music swells up once again.

Funnily enough, D'Artagnan can't remember why he came to Clara's door in the first place. He remembers needing something from the kitchen, and then passing her room on the way, and deciding to stop in, knocking much more loudly than he usually does on her door. Strange.

He raises an eyebrow when she answers, and another strange thing happens. He can tell she's speaking in Spanish, but he can also understand it. It's very bizarre. Very bizarre. He opens his mouth to speak, wondering if it'll be Spanish as well.

"I have no idea." Huh. Spanish. It sounds strange coming from his mouth. "Do you remember what happened before this?"

Oh good, they're both speaking Spanish. This makes perfect sense. She shakes her head, not really recalling anything. Everything from this weekend is a total blur, and it's left her disoriented and not in a very good mood. But since this is D'Artagnan, she's able to smile and be a bit more casual about this than she would be if it were a total stranger.

"I spoke Russian one time. 'Cos of the TARDIS. It's a...thing that it does, translates everything. Don't think that's what's going on this time, though."

But even still, her eyes slowly scan the area for any sign of a big blue box. "Has this been happening to you all weekend too, though? Think this is that event I was worrying about."

He has absolutely no idea what a TARDIS is, but he figures it must be very advanced technology if it made her speak Russian. He shrugs at the question.

"I think so, yes. Yesterday I was in a different mansion, and different clothing. Athos was my uncle. It was all very strange." He can't say he didn't mind the suit, though. But he nods as well.

"Must be the event. At least nothing dangerous seems to be happening?"
