LOG - incomplete
Who: Ritsuka (
sleeping_memory) & Kairi (
paopu_charm)
Where Kitchen
When: Late Afternoon- Early Evening?
Rating: G-PG??? (Gah!)
Summary: Kairi spends some quality time with her newfound friend, Ritsuka in the kitchens. :)
the Story:
"Is it really this hard to find a bowl?" Kairi questioned as her pale hands moved haphazardly in one of the cabinets. She pushed aside plates, strainers, and pots which clashed together making it seem as if a loud ruckus was going on in the kitchen.
"Mann...." She sighed and rose off her knees to a stand. The redhead slammed the cabinet shut with contempt and leaned on the countertop with her elbows propped up and her chin in the palm of one of her hands. "I was hoping to bake a cake for Ritsuka while we were in here..." She mumbled and scanned the room for another idea.
"Let's check the fridge." Kairi wandered over to the tin box filled with frozen and cold goods, opened the door and poked her head inside. Her eyes searched around. "Maybe a fruit salad...hmm." Well if one thing was for sure, Kairi wanted to create a dish for her new friend to welcome him, whether she could find something or not.

"This place is so big.." Ristuka said quietly to himself as he entered the kitchen. He saw a girl rustling through cabinets and then the refrigerator. He walked up to her. "Are you Kairi?" Ritsuka wasn't very good at introductions and he was still new to making friends.

"Yep, my name's Kairi. Are you Ritsuka?" She asked with a cheery grin. She shut the refrigerator door and faced him full front with an extent of her hand.
"It's nice to meet you in person!"

She looked back at him, her face still in a s mile. "Are you hungry? I'll be happy to fix you something."

"How does...hmm...pasta, breadsticks, and salad sound?" She suggested. It was a lot to prepare, but at least she had an extra pair of hands. There was a recipe for spaghetti held deep in the recesses of her memory that she remembered her late grandmother cooking. She would use that recipe at her expense.
Assuming, or hoping, that there would be no objections, Kairi pulled out a block of cheese, salad greens, butter, and ground beef from the freezer portion of the refrigerator. She wasn't sure if that was all that was needed, but knew that it would have to work for now. Next thing they would have to do was hunt around for some dry ingredients.

After washing the greens, he began to cut slices of tomato to put ontop of the salad. "Do you cook alot for your friends back home?" Ritsuka was even feeling more talkative today.

"It'll take a long time to make breadsticks from scratch, so we'll have to use premade dough." She wandered back over to the fridge and reached inside, pulled her arm out with a package of refrigerated bread dough in her hand and reached her other hand to grab an egg. It didn't daunt on her to be able to find everything in the kitchen; this mansion after all was pretty weird. She ripped into the package, separated pieces of dough, and rolled them into long, thick log-shapes. She dabbed some butter and olive oil and put the dough pieces onto the pan. The oven still needed to be preheated, so she set the oven on and worked now on the sauce. She put the ground meat, tomato paste, oregano, and italian spices combined in a pot. Next went in the egg she pulled out earlier.
"Oh! We'll need an onion too..." She said and ran back to the fridge while the pot of ingredients cooked. Kairi halted for a moment at the fridge when Ritsuka questioned if she prepared dishes for her friends. "Hmm...no not really. I mean, I know how to cook the fish we catch on the beach and bake desserts, but that's all I really did for the guys." She shrugged her shoulders and stole an onion from the fridge.

He looked over at the girl who was cooking up a storm. In a way, he was reminded of that day Yuiko invited him and Soubi over to her house and Soubi made them food. It was the best food Ritsuka ever tasted. A small frown matched the discomfort he was feeling when he thought of Soubi and if he was ever going to find him.
