Who: Allison Argent (
driven) and Isaac Lahey (
fugitive_but_great)
Where: Isaac and Scott's Room!
When: 9/1 - midddayish
Rating: PG-13ish?
Summary: Allison hurts herself when she's out and about. She goes to Scott and Isaac's room to see if they have any first-aid stuff before going down to the clinic and...well. Let's just say first-aid is not Isaac's forte. But he tries.
The Story:
[ ever since coming to wonderland, allison has tried to keep things as relatively normal as she can. she and lydia spend a lot of time together, go down to the vendors and the pool and just generally hang out. she sees scott and isaac and stiles on a semi-regular basis too, just trying to find things to spend their time doing when the entirety of wonderland isn't falling into chaos. but that also means starting up some kind of schedule for herself - like running in the mornings. if there's one thing about wonderland that she's picked up on, it's the need to be able to defend yourself. to fight back. and she needs to be in shape to do that.
so running has become a fairly normal thing for her. every day, if she can wake herself up to do it. just an hour or so around the grounds, usually in the first little bit of the forest. it reminds her of home, in a way, so she tries to keep to it. she's never had a problem with it if she didn't go too far inside, where it got dark and thick and semi-dangerous for running. usually she's pretty aware of that, and will avoid it and head back to the mansion. except for today, when she must have just gotten too distracted with something and she went a little too far in, where the brush got thick and the trees blocked out most of the sun and before she knew what was happening, a vine caught her foot and she was tumbling.
it's probably the adrenaline that keeps the pain dulled, and keeps allison from realizing just what she caught her hand on, but she gets up and brushes herself off and keeps running. she's not hurt, not that she can tell, so she'll get back out and head home because that was embarrassing. it's not until she gets closer to the mansion that she notices the blood in her hand, and all over her arm, and splattered along the left side of her clothes. from what she can tell, when she had tried to catch herself she'd ended up scraping her right arm on a branch of some kind, deep enough to leave a fairly decent gash, and blood everywhere. that, with all the other scrapes from the brush up her arms and legs...allison could only imagine what she looked like to everyone else. she needed to get this cleaned up, and she knew that for whatever reason she and lydia didn't have a first aid kit in their room.
which is why, a few minutes later, she's knocking on scott, isaac and stiles'. if anything, maybe they'd have an extra towel. something that she could just clean up with before heading down to the clinic - or maybe she wouldn't have to go at all. that would be ideal, but she also didn't know what the boys would have, and it's only after she's knocked that it sets in how bad of an idea this probably was.
if scott answered the door, he would freak. if stiles did...he would also freak, but more at the blood than her. maybe isaac would be home. she hoped it was isaac. ]

Yeah, he doesn't like me very much. [ The admittance doesn't seem to hold any anger or hurt, but the slight shift of his shoulders, how they curl into himself slightly, and the way his chin lowers a fraction of an inch... It does bother him. He comes between him and Scott -- Isaac gets that. It really wasn't his intention to put strain on their relationship, it's just hard to help how you feel, especially with someone like Scott. He can honestly understand why Stiles dislikes him though, aside from the whole Scott thing (which he understands too), if he could, he'd change everything about himself in an instant. ] Maybe I'll offer to help him with whatever weird project he starts up next to see his face.
[ He doesn't want anyone else to get hurt, but that's just who he is, if he could, he'd take an idyllic world with no one getting hurt, and no one dying over what they have.
Then she agrees to hang out with them and he looks up at her, head tilting to the side like a curious child. ] Really? Yeah, we watch movies and play video games and stuff... I mean, I'm sure if there's something you guys wanna watch, we could -- not the Notebook though.

I don't think he doesn't like you. [ really, the only person that allison can imagine stiles hating would be derek. or jackson. he might not act like he's isaac's best friend, but she still feels like she should say something about it. stiles has that...tendency to really act like a jerk sometimes. even if she can understand why. it's not like he means anything by it. ] I think it's more you freak him out. It was just him and Scott for a really long time there.
[ suddenly allison realizes how out of place that might sound, and her eyes drop to her lap. she's never really had that - someone who was around for that long. someone she could always depend on being around. no one outside of her family, and we all know how well that went. but then she does laugh a little, under her breath. ] His face might be worth it.
[ she looks up at his really, smiling a little because uh, yeah before the sarcasm drops a little at his expression. he seems...actually surprised. ] Yeah. I'm really bad at video games, though, except for stuff like Mario Kart. [ one of her many phases, don't ask her. and then a snort, because oh god the notebook. ] That's more Lydia's movie, anyway, so that's fine for me. I've seen it enough times to last me a lifetime.
[ thanks best friend. ]

Grey's anatomy... Another show he really cannot watch. If he's not being squicked out by blood and guts and gross noises that accompany said blood and guts, it's boring storyline. The storyline is bad and that is his story, he's sticking to it. ] But dude, I love Mario Kart. [ So many dumb hours spent playing that game and also so many more spent listening to dumb songs about it. Racing games have always been his jam though. ] Though you're gonna have to deal with - [ With a soft hum he scoops Parker up only to place him on her lap. ] One of the only kittens in existence that is okay with werewolves.
[ To be fair, Isaac is pretty sure Allison is one of the only werewolf hunters that is okay with werewolves. Was that a ploy to get her to stay longer? Maybe. He's not gonna say it was, but he's not gonna say it wasn't. Isaac isn't dumb, he knows she has no reason to stay longer than to get patched up and say thanks... Which both of those things have happened. He's definitely not going to ask her outright to stay longer... He already feels like he's doing something wrong talking to her and actually enjoying it. Is this a betrayal to Scott?
It feels like he's sneaking cookies out of a cookie jar and hoping Scott doesn't see... The same way he'd felt when she'd grabbed his hand to show him how to work the motorcycle. It was both thrilling and terrifying because he actually thinks she's interesting and fun to be around... But the Bro Code... He's breaking it majorly by hanging out with her... But Scott hangs out with her too... ]

[ the laugh morphs into something of a shy smile at the mention of mario kart, though. she wonders if it matters that she's not really all that good at the game. there's just something about the nostalgia factor that she likes. after a second, it's suddenly more challenging. she can talk it up, at least. make it seem like she knows more than she really does. ] As long as I get Toad, we'll be fine.
[ but suddenly there's a cat, and allison hadn't been paying enough attention to parker- her eyes on isaac instead. so when he moves and sets parker in. Her laugh, she ends up laughing again, her hands immediately going to pet him. it is a little strange that parker is so okay with everyone, but he's cute, and small, and allison's heart grows a little when he bats his little orange head against her fingers. ] I think I can deal with that. [ her eyes lift to isaac for a moment, the smile still there, before her attention is back on parker. kittens tend to have that special ability, after all. ]
Where did you find him, anyway? [ some part of allison might know that she should probably get going. she needs to shower and lydia is probably wondering where she is, and she's definitely still sitting on scott's bed without Scott actually being here, and something tells her that if scott walks in and smells her around his room, she'll have more than just a little explaining to do, but it's not like she can just leave. not when parker decides right then to curl up in the crooks between her knees on his back. it's like he knows she needs that's little extra push to stick around.
and how to do you say no to a kitten? ]

[ Her reaction to Parker is one that garners amusement from Isaac as he shifts so that he's cross legged in front of her, looking up as he talks. ] Look, he likes you. [ The words are spoken around a fond grin as if this is one of the nicest outcomes he could have ever expected. ] The only person he bothers is Scott. But that's just because Scott tries to play with him and pet him at the same time. [ He doubts Parker even dislikes Scott - it's just a matter of mis-communication and probably possessiveness on both of their parts. ]
Cecil - the guy with the uh, really nice voice? - found 'em and I was curious if any of them would like me... The dogs and the cats at Deaton's make a fuss when I'm around but he doesn't seem to care at all... I wonder if he was dropped on his head or something. [ He pause, as if he's unsure about talking so much. ] I'd get a dog but it's weird having something so... similar...
[ Isaac pokes his tongue out to wet his lips as his attention flickers around the room. It smells like her, and blood, her blood... Maybe he'll throw the cat in the bathroom and open the door to air it out once she leaves. The thought brings baby blues back to her arm, like he is trying to will it to have his healing factor. He doesn't want anyone to really hurt, especially not her or Scott or any of his friends. What he wouldn't give for an idyllic peaceful world where no one's interests clashed.
Resist the kitten and the baby blues? Good luck. ]

so that smile turns into a grin when he mentions mario kart. ] Uh, yeah. Toad's the best.
[ but kitten and allison's grinning again, scratching parker around his neck and under his chin and feeling him purr up against her finger tips. part of her wonders why the whole cat and dog thing hasn't applied to them, but she's so fixated on parker that she doesn't think to ask. she's still smiling when her eyes lift back up, finding isaac looking at her with a soft smile and talking about how scott doesn't know how to treat a cat and she laughs a little. ]
I'm sure Scott will win him over. He does that a lot. [ she nods a little when isaac mentions cecil, though, because she's seen him on the network. hasn't really interacted with him, but she's seen him around. she seems to have missed when he was giving out animals, though, thinking about whether or not lydia would have liked to get one. parker just curls around her hand, swatting a bit at her fingers and she just keeps playing with him as they talk. ] A dog would be a little more time consuming to take care of. And I'd be worried about the events, them getting out. Cats usually like to stick to a certain place.
[ she's playing with parker for a moment before she realizes isaac isn't saying anything else, and she looks up just in time to see his eyes on her arm. looking at her bandage. her eyes move from her own arm back to him with her eyebrows raised, in slight amusement. ] It really doesn't hurt, you know.

He's actually kinda glad Stiles and Scott had decided on some super best friend bullshit that didn't involve him because apparently he wasn't good enough because this atmosphere was easy - a bit awkward, and okay he felt guilty for being around Scott's ex but it was easy. It felt like they were just two normal teenagers instead of a hunter and a werewolf, instead of the girl that had stabbed him and the stabee. It was interesting and different, a bit thrilling really. He'd never really made that many friends and when he did, his dad usually ended up scaring them away or their parents thought he was a hooligan from all the bruises, or maybe, thinking back on it - maybe the knew what his dad did to him... ]
Don't - uh - you and Lydia have a pet or something? Didn't she have a dog back home? [ It's interesting, that after this long none of them would actually try to settle in, to get pets. Stiles was really the only one that seemed to accept that he was actually stuck there, but then again, he didn't know Allison or Lydia that well. He knew Lydia better than he knew Allison, which had to say something because he barely knew Lydia aside from having a stupid crush on her during 8th grade onto Freshman year. ]
