luxord and elphie +incomplete+;
Who: Luxord
stackthedeck and Elphaba
notfabala
Where The kitchen
When: Evening, November 18th?
Rating: R FOR SE-- No, really. PG. Seriously.
Summary: Elphie wants to take a walk to clear her head; Luxord accompanies her.
the Story:
When Elphie had asked him to meet her at the kitchen for their walk together, Luxord hadn't been able to help bringing his kidnapped Heartless balloon along with him -- whether for comfort reasons or something else entirely, he wasn't sure. Especially since last time the two parted, it hadn't been on exactly the best of terms.
Not to mention the letter still weighed heavily on his mind -- but perhaps the two of them could talk about it. It had been making him uneasy the past few days, and thankfully the other Organization members knew nothing of its contents. Otherwise he was sure more than a few of them would immediately know the source.
Opening the door to the kitchen, he shoved his hands in his pockets and waited for her, the balloon bobbing a few times before coming to rest close to the ceiling.

She seen a tall man in a dark coat in the kitchen. White hair peeked out from the collar and she smiled. The idea of knowing that he is waiting for her, just made her happy.
"Luxord?" she asked timidly. Her hearing was still not as it was, but she could hear a little.

Turning at the sound of his name, he nodded at the recognition, a small smile forming on his lips.
"Evening, love."
no subject
"Say that again?" she smiled, getting close to him. Now, was she making an excuse to get close to him, or hear him... That was for him to decide.
Elphie missed him, his scent...
"How are you?" she said quickly, trying to get the thought out of her mind.

"Evening, love. You're doing well, I trust?" Talking about the letter -- and his decision -- was going to be more difficult, too, but they'd manage. If the conversation ever happened to drift to that particular topic, at least.
"Mmm. I'm as well as I can be -- I found a roommate, and I'm doing well, considering." Tilting his head a little to the side, he asks, "What about you? Hearing loss aside, anyway."
no subject
"I'm as well as expected. I'm enjoying the silence though." she smiled.
"A roommate? I never said you had to go, Luxord. But... I suppose that... er... it's best?" she shrugged. Not wanting to hear a response, she walked toward the door.
She looked over her shoulder and smiled at him, "You coming? Or are you just going to stand there darling?"
no subject
"I'm glad to hear it," he nodded, not admitting to her that he has been a little concerned about her lately, especially since the thing with Saix, and even though they have a truce, it only came into effect recently.
"I know you said I didn't have to," he sighed, looking at his feet. "I... just..." Luxord trailed off as she made her way to the door, obviously not really wanting an answer for that particular query.
Shaking his head and smiling, he made his way over to the door too, balloon trailing behind him like an obedient dog. "Well, I could just stand here all day, but it would be rather a sad waste of time, wouldn't it?"

She slowed her pace and kepted in step with him. Unintentionally, Elphie laced her fingers with Luxord's. She looked down at her feet. She knew that Luxord got the letter. She also was certain that he was curious as to who would make the threat on his life. She wanted to get it out of the way, but afraid of the way things ended last time they were together, she didn't want to.
"Who's your new roommate? Better not be another woman." she said sternly, half joking.

Surprised at her holding his hand but pleasantly nonetheless, he held her hand back, not wanting her to shy away from the contact. The letter was weighing heavily on his mind, despite his efforts to forget as much about it as possible. "About the letter..." he began, and then stopped, wondering what to say next.
Luxord smirked. "I don't think I could room with a woman," he joked. "Too much work, they are."

She closed her eyes and looked at him. She knew where he was going, and she knew what he would ask. The letter was so vague, however, she thought he would understand.
"Saix." was all she would say, holding tighter to his hand.
no subject
It was strange how one simple word could make all the difference, and he froze on the spot, his blood turning cold. Saix? It was him?
...he simply couldn't believe it. It just didn't make sense in his head; he couldn't digest the information.
"...Saix?" he eventually says, the colour draining from his face.

"He said he would anything to prove a point. You are the only one I care for. The only. One." she said, her voice grave. "I've asked Lucien to..." she wondered if she should really tell him.
"I've asked Lucien to watch out for me. Protect me if you will. A little girl could kill me, what can a bunch of large brooding men do?" She looked down, her voice dropping an octive or two. "I've asked him not to harm you or Vexen. But the others, if they pose a threat to me... are free reign for him..."
no subject
"Large brooding men, huh." If it had not been such a serious situation, Luxord probably would've made a joke about that. "Who's Lucien?"
At the moment, Luxord wasn't particularly concerned with Saix being attacked by Lucien -- revenge, honestly -- but Xemnas... Xemnas was his Superior.
This was all too confusing.

She closed her eyes. She refused to cry. Refused.
"I don't want you to pay for my stubbornness." Elphie felt so weak, so helpless. She hated it. She's never felt so much disdain before in her life, before coming here. She loathed this mansion with a passion.

"A third death... won't be so bad," he eventually said, holding her hand tightly in his. "It doesn't hurt much, after the first time. I... I promse, it'll be alright."
no subject
"It won't be so bad? You don't honestly think you... No. Luxord." she couldn't grasp it.
"Why?"
no subject
Why? He wasn't entirely sure of the answer either; there were several, and some of them... he didn't really feel like sharing. Not even with her.

She couldn't grasp the concept. Surely if Fiyero was to face this same situation, he would not have died for her. He would not have been so bold and accept it. She was sure Fiyero would cower and hide, like she has.
She closed her eyes and moved to him, kissing him softly. She couldn't say much of anything, but she hoped the kiss would say it all.
