Where Is My Mind? [action/open]

Who: Xander Harris ([personal profile] theheartpart) and YOU!
Where: Out and About
When: Thursday, October 17, 2013; evening
Rating: PG
Summary: Xander disappears for a week, and upon returning... forgets to mention it for four days.
The Story:
[The thing about going home and coming back to Wonderland is that you have to be aware of the passage of time for it to be shocking. For Xander, he returns after a week, and it's like nothing's changed. Nothing seems different. At least, not at first.

But time's passed. It's been almost two weeks according to the calendar, but Harris doesn't quite notice. He knows he's in Wonderland, which means business as usual, and that business happens to be the flu that he suffers with through four miserable days.Four days that, at the end of it, could conceivably be eleven or more. Laying in bed, wishing for death, crawling on hands and knees to the bathroom, it's all there. Seven days that could easily be a fever dream, where he remembers Buffy being dead. Something he wants to be a nightmare, something he wants to be imaginary..

So, he might have called Buffy or Cordelia or Amy, but the prospect of getting any of them sick weighs too heavily on his mind (read: he doesn't want to change out of his awful, dirty, stained clothes in order to avoid being immediately quarantined, despite already maintaining a quarantine). And he doesn't want them to worry..

Girls worry so much.

In any case, it's easy to pass off a week and four days (or so) with that kind of sickness, which means that when Xander does finally feel well enough to go out, he's completely oblivious to the fact that anyone missed him at all.

So, here he is, days worth of hunger, idly snacking his way through Wonderland, not-so-silently observing the world as he loudly chews potato chips.

What do you think, Wonderland? Is it possible for Harris to be that oblivious? Can he really pretend a week never happened?]
