Guy and Tear [ Incomplete ]
Who: Guy (
guynophobic) and Tear (
fonichymns)
Where: The Garden
When: Around midday
Rating: PG at most
Summary: Tear isn't feeling well; Guy meets her in the garden in an attempt to cheer her up.
The Story:
The blonde swordsman entered the garden; one hand rested on his sword's hilt, as per usual, and the other swung idly at his side. His blue eyes scanned the area for Tear. He hoped she was alright; when he had spoken to her through those journals, she had sounded on edge. That worried Guy. Tear was usually one to appear indifferent to most things, especially if they involved her own emotions. Hearing her talk like that had been a surprise, to say the least. Thus, he had offered to meet her somewhere. Some company could do her some good, he'd decided, especially considering how he nor Luke had gotten around to seeing her in person yet. He would do anything he could to cheer her up... as long as it didn't mean he had to touch her.

But...
There was nothing to fight here, there was no mission for her to do. She felt useless. It did not help that she could not sleep at night, horrible dreams of failing those she cared about haunting her sleep all too often. The Oracle Knight also missed her home, she missed the normality that Yulia City provided her with. She missed traveling across the world, having to glance over her shoulder every five minutes to make sure they were not attacked. Tear even missed Jade's sacrasm and Anise's overly perky attitude.
The Oracle Knight sat on a stone bench in front of a medium size group of white flowers, her posture perfect, lightly humming the Grand Fonic Hymn underneath her breath.

"Your singing is as beautiful as ever," he murmured. A sidelong glance was cast in Tear's direction. Guy didn't want to bring up the topic of her state just yet. This was, after all, the first time they had seen eachother in person since in Auldrant. He couldn't even remember how long ago that had been. Besides, the swordsman thought that mentioning what was bothering her wouldn't help anyway; she would bring it up if she wanted to. Sometimes people didn't want to talk about some things. Guy knew this better than most.

"Thankyou," She had grown used to his comments, the ones that usually made girls blush and giggle, only to find out about his fear of women when they tried to get close. "Yulia's fonic hymns always calm me...although they do bring back memories of Auldrant." The Oracle Knight took a deep breath and moved her gaze to the flowers, they reminded her of the flower garden outside her room in Yulia City. She always enjoyed standing in that glower garden, just singing.

"That should be a good thing," he told the Oracle Knight thoughtfully. As if he knew that she didn't want to remember their world, because she had told him a while ago that she missed it. "We might get a little homesick when we think of Auldrant. But if we're going to be here for a long time, we don't want to forget our homeland, do we?" A pause as he turned to smile at her. "After all, with memories of Auldrant come all the memories of our time with everyone. What would become of us if we forgot those, hmm?"
He had turned away from her again and was staring at a particularily large and colourful flower. His words had been surprisingly to the point, even to him. But of course, Guy had never been one to really think about what he was going to say before he said it. The words seemed to just weave themselves. As such, they were usually exactly what was on his mind. This trait often led him to be in quite the dilemma with females, however.

But not all of her memories were the pleasent of memories. The ones of Van still pain her, the pain of slowly loosing her own brother to his insane ideals. Shaking her head, she pushed the thoughts of Van into the back of her mind. She did not need to ideal on him. "But...I feel as if I am a failure as a soldier...I shouldn't I know....but I still haven't entire gotten grips with myself since coming here. There is no Order of Lorelei for me to report too...no need to fight..."
"I sound ridiculous..."

"And don't forget this, either: it shouldn't matter if you're being a good soldier or not. What you should be more concerned about is whether or not you're doing the best you can."

She glanced at him from the corner of her eyes, being reminded why she did not mind Guy's company. Desipte his obvious handicap, he was someone you could talk too, someone who would just sit there and listen when you ramble on about Lorelei only knows what. "Ah.....thankyou Guy, I'm afriad I would not faired well in the long run if not for you..."
Quickly she decided to change the subject, "How have you been fairing here...?"

"I've been doing pretty well. As well as possible, considering how we've been tossed into this place without any warning, anyway. Luke's been keeping me busy. He told me everything that he knows about this place; introduced me to those 'laptop' things," a fascinated look entered the swordsman's eyes as he mentioned the computers, but he chuckled nervously and scratched the back of his head, "and I... sort of took one apart. But they're so interesting! They're like the fon machines back in Auldrant, only they don't run on Fonons." He continued rambling on like this for a while before he realized what he was doing and trailed off.
"Oh, sorry..." Guy mumbled, grinning at Tear sheepishly. "I got carried away." That man and his fontech. Unbelieveable.

"I am glad you and Luke are doing well," From the sounds of things they were, "Although I think you should try not to take apart too many things," Tear smiled slightly and shook her head, she could imagine Guy taking apart everything that was electrical in the manison. It wouldn't surprise her if he did.
