[saix and ritsuka; incomplete]
Who: Saix
falltheseventh and Ritsuka
sleeping_memory
Where: Ritsuka's room.
When: Evening, November 18
Rating: PG-13, just to be safe.
Summary: Saix goes to pick up a photo from Ritsuka.
the Story:
Quite honestly, if he could have it his way, Saix wouldn't be out here to even deal with the boy; he doesn't socialize well, obviously, and that's fine with him -- for the most part.
Though it seems, naturally, Vexen may be inclined to disagree with that notion.
Regardless, if he could, Saix wouldn't be bothering, but he does want that photo as soon as possible.
Wants it.
Politely enough, he knocks on the door as he arrives and waits rather patiently for Ritsuka.

"Who's there?"
no subject
"Saix."
Who else would it be? Though, one can hardly blame Ritsuka for finding the need to be so careful. Never know who or even what will be in the mansion, waiting.

He likes his secrets.
"Indeed."
Saix does not force himself inside. He simply holds out his hand expectantly. "Photo?"
no subject
He wasn't going to let Saix push him around. No. Not at all, especially someone like him. People who thought they were above everyone else. Ritsuka despised them. They were always fake and lacked personality.
no subject
Without a heart, he wouldn't know if he had one.
Still, he seems to swallow his pride well. "May I have the photo please?"
no subject
Ritsuka opens the door all the way for Saix to come in. If Saix decided to enter, either way Ritsuka would keep the door open- just in case. He walked over towards his desk where the picture was resting. This was the one for Vexen.
Ritsuka had placed it in an envelope. His picture with Vexen was pasted on the wall of his bedroom. The one that the window was on. He had quite a few. His newest one being the one he took with Jr that was of the castle they had made together with them in the background.

Reluctantly, he steps inside, but no more than a few feet. Briefly, he glances over the photos a bit curiously.
Well. Someone is obsessed, of course. But he makes no remark, and simply waits to receive the photo and leave quickly -- but he pauses, staring at the photo with Vexen.
It's a rarity to see him smile quite like that, even if it's an unsure one. Usually, they are mostly capable of egotistical smirks, or calculating grins. Should they express, it is... not normally pleasant.
It's an odd thing to see on Vexen. He's almost a bit mesmerized.

"If you wanted a picture, you could have just asked." Ritsuka said simply. "If you want I can take one of you and Vexen." He showed Saix his camera. Perhaps this man wasn't such an egotiscal fool. Ritsuka was sometimes wrong about people...he was about his friends. They only wanted to look out for him and help him.

Saix does pause a moment. He recalls what the academic said before, about creating better memories to replace... the bad ones left behind in him. Much against his own will, perhaps this mansion is the opportunity he needs.
And maybe this must be a step.
"Well. I suppose, if you are so willing, I don't see why not."
no subject
"Do you want to make a memory, then? It won't mean anything if we just take a picture now." To Ritsuka, pictures were a way to the past. His train of thought was that was as long as he was in the mansion, he wanted to make sure he took enough pictures in order to show everyone when he got home. To remember. He didn't want another episode where he forgot how things were.
no subject
"...Make a memory? How do you mean?"
no subject
Well, they didn't really play. More like Vexen just stood around and walked with Ritsuka when need be. It still turned out to be a nice day anyway.
"And this," he pointed to the one he took with Jr. "We made a sandcastle. Jr also taught me how to play volleyball. I wanted to take a picture so I wouldn't forget.
That's what a memory is. The picture captures it," He nodded to himself and looked back at Saix.

What does he know that he can do, to make a memory worthwhile? It's not as if he's particularly fond of Ritsuka, but it's best to do as suggested. Make better memories.
He has a soul, he can have that much.
"I don't know if I have anything truly pleasant to share as a memory, with anyone."
no subject
"Well you don't share a memory, well you can, but I was talking about making one. We can make a happy memory," Ritsuka suggested. The child in him was beginning to come out again. Being that it was snatched away so quickly from him, it was a nice change from the norm.
"What do you like to do? Maybe you can teach me something you like."
no subject
After all, he doesn't much like to share in the first place.
"I am not... sure if I like to do it. But I suppose I can show you something I learned from someone I knew a very long time ago. You are familiar with the recent tarot readings many have taken on their journals, yes?"

Saix kneels down to the floor. If there are any chairs available, he does not touch them. "Sit. I will explain as we progress. Should you be interested in this lesson, you may perform a reading on me."
no subject
He did have the desire to know the answer to this question. More than anything. He wanted to believe Seimei was alive. He even wanted to believe he might find him in the mansion. He was never going to give up.

"Divination is a crude course to tell future, present, or history -- that is, to the hand that does not know how to guide but to lie or attempt to match connections. I can explain possible meanings and give you what you want to know, but that is all. The links you require must be found on your own."
He holds out his hand; briefly, a soft moonglow appears, and he calls to himself are... oddly shaped cards. They aren't rectangular, but circles. The edges appear to be worn, suggesting they are well used -- and well aged.
"Have you your question?"
no subject
He hoped for the latter. He didn't want to speak of Seimei when he wasn't inclined to. He also wasn't sure if he wanted Saix to know his business. He already told a few people that he had an older brother and some even his name. Then again, he only told the ones who had met or knew of people who were previously dead who were now walking the mansion.

Laying the deck to the floor, he splits them in two piles. He gestures. "Pick one. Take it with your left hand, and spread it before you while keeping the cards face down -- then you may choose your first card."
