Who: Bela Talbot and YOU!
Where: Anywhere and everywhere
When: During the whole of Zombie event.
Rating: R to be on the safe side.
Summary: A catch all for the event with those I planned with and also anyone who wants to jump in! Comment into what day you want and I post a starter if you need me to. Just PM me or drop a private plurk @marymoo :)
Action tags are a-okay as well!
The Story:
One of the things that Bela learned after a few hours was that loud noises seemed to attract the zombies or 'biters' or 'walkers'... whatever Daryl had called them. Therefore, she decided that she would only use her handgun in an emergency. As it happened, she had armed herself with a knife or two and a pipe, perfect for jamming straight into a zombie's brain, disgusting as it was. Didn't really seem to matter when it was her life at stake.
She also gathered whatever food supplies she could and they were meager so Bela had to make them last. Finding fresh water may be a problem. There were a few bottles stored away in the bag she had but how long would that last? Bela wasn't used to this sort of thing and the lack of sleep didn't make anything better. If she looked in a mirror, she'd probably die of shock. Even in the midst of a zombie invasion, Bela was still a little bit vain.
Staying alive was still her number one priority though.

...I'm having fun.
[There's the hint of unease.]

[She's clearly teasing him but humour seems to help her in some way.]
What's your name?
no subject
[beat. Then, he offers her his hand. There's a very faint scar on his wrist.]
Lindsey McDonald.
no subject
Bela took the offered hand and shakes it, glancing at the scar before looking back at him.]
Nice to meet you, Lindsey. My name is Bela. Bela Talbot.

Bela.
What do you do?
no subject
Didn't we cover that already? [Not entirely sure if they did or not.] I'm a professional thief for hire.

[He gets no further as the closet shudders]
What's the layout of these rooms?
no subject
There's probably another door around here somewhere. This room isn't familiar to me.
[She crosses to the opposite side of the room, carefully checking every inch of it for another door. Even a window.]
no subject
Are we on the first or second floor? I can never tell with this place.
no subject
[Because they didn't have many currently.]
First I think. If it's high we'll need to find something to climb down with.

Once I thought I'd actually escape my trailer when I was a kid. And I practiced making ladders like this.
[He's doing a good job of ripping and tying the sheets together]
no subject
[A trailer? From that to a lawyer. Interesting path to take.]
Still, we're lucky that you did practice. Need me to help?

[The rope's getting longer and longer]
...How many feet do you think til the grasS?
no subject
[The noise at the door gets louder with each passing second.]
Just keep on adding more to the rope until you've got nothing else to add to it.
no subject
Feel free to be impressed at any time now.

Surprisingly.]
You all right?
no subject
[Bela walks over to him, taking a hold of the rope.]
Come on. The sooner we do this, the better.
no subject
I'm going first.
no subject
[She gestures forward with a hand, then glances behind her to check the door. The barricade was still holding for now.]

Finally he lets himself drop, landing on the ground with a loud whump]
Drop's a little longer then I thought. Come down and I'll catch you!
no subject
[She doesn't waste any time in going to the window and taking a hold of the makeshift rope, shimmying down it until she reaches the end of it. Bela glances at the ground over her shoulder to assess the drop, realising that he was probably right.]
Just give me a moment.
no subject
[He inhales] I know trust is probably a bad idea in a place like this but let's suspend mutual disbelief for five minutes. [He is completely and utterly sincere]
I honestly would never hurt or take advantage of a woman. Especially one I'm fleeing for my life with.
no subject
[Bela lets go of the rope, preparing to land on the ground in case he wasn't successful in catching her like he said he would.]
