Who // Elphie and Ritsuka
Where // Her room, this... chapel place
When // Sometime tonight
Summary // Angst, truth, and tears

Elphie finished reading Ritsuka's comment. They agreed to meet at her room.

Nerves were getting the best of her, as they have been as of late. The carpet in between her bed and her desk was slowly wearing away, because of all the pacing she's been doing. "He has to be okay..." She'd mumble to herself from time to time.

She almost forgot someone was on their way to her room, she was so deep in thought.

Ritsuka left his room, carrying a gingerbread cookie, eating it along the way. Apparently Saix and Elphaba were both looking for Luxord. Ritsuka wondered why? If Luxord wanted to be left alone, then Saix and Elphaba should let him alone. However, Ritsuka remembered his conversation with Luxord. It seemed that the organization liked to control its members- both their actions and supposed 'feelings'.

He knocked at her door, he had a gingerbread cookie for her to. Maybe that would cheer her up. It was in the shape of a star.

Elphie shook her head and snapped out of whatever little daze she was in. She went to open the door, and offered as much of a smile as she could muster.

"Hello Ritsuka." She moved aside, letting the Cat in her room if he chose.

Ritsuka walked in, he handed her the star cookie. "I made it with a friend. they take good." He looked around her room. It was very dark, Elphaba looked how the room appeared. "You really like Luxord alot?"

She took the cookie and stared at it. The brownish contrast of the cookie on her skin seemed to amaze her.

When she heard his querry, she nodded. Only a simple nod. She didn't want to admit it herself, but she couldn't deny it either.

"Well then, what are we waiting for?" Ritsuka has been in a very good mood as of late. He still had Seimei on his mind, but the reading he had gotten from the cards- he took it as means of helping others. Helping them to find hope so that in return they can help him. He grabbed her hand and jogged out the door. "Which way Elphaba?"

The sudden contact, and being pulled out the door by this little feline startled her. She was about to protest, but instead was trying to figure out where this chapel would be.

"Do you know where the chapel is?" She asked, trying to keep up wth the spunky companion.

"Er.." Ritsuka stopped in his tracks. "No I don't." He didn't even know there was...a chapel. "Wait. A temple? There's a temple here?" Was this a sign?

She shrugged. "He mentioned a chapel. I suppose it could be the same thing?" She looked at the sign. "What does this say?" she traced the symbols with her finger.

"Shall we?" she looked at Ritsuka and started the way down the hall toward this... temple/chapel

"Yes." Ritsuka followed close behind her. He made sure he paid attention to its location and the surroundings. Maybe he could pray here for Seimei, or at least light an incense or candle for him.

Elphie was never a religious type. She thought the idea of an Unnamed God and Lurlina was obsurd. Why should she believe in something if she didn't even have a soul to repent for. She sighed, as they opened the door to the chapel.

Paintings of various religious sentiments and people scattered the walls. The area was lined with pews and a maroon runner down the isle.

"Seems like it's ready for a wedding..." she mumbled to herself, tracing her fingers along some of the red taffeda that linked the pews together

Ritsuka looked around in awe. He'd never seen a temple so big before. Immediately his eyes fell upon the virgin mary and the candles lit before her. "Who is she?" Ritsuka asked, walking up to the statue and staring at it.

The statue was holding its hands out as if offering something.

She shrugged. "I have no clue." she mumbled, following Ritsuka. "Seems like she wants to take your soul." she said, cocking her head to the side.

Elphaba turned her attention to surroundings. Things on the floor, something in disarray. Any sign of a struggle. Something that would help their search.

"I think she wants to help," Ritsuka cocked his head to the side. He fished through his pockets for an offering. All he had was a broken cookie, some lint, and a few bandages. He placed all these things on the small mantle piece before taking the long metal match dunno wtf its called)) to light the candle before him. He remained slient, in his own thoughts. After a few moments he returned to where Elphaba was. "What are you looking for"

She was currently on the floor, looking under some of the pews. "Once I find it, I'll let you know..." she said, her voice being muffled by the floor.

The grimmerie would be a great help. She stood up and sighed. Collapsing on the seat behind her, she willed herself not to cry. She felt like it was useless.
Ritsuka wondered what she was looking for. "But what is it? A thing?" Ritsuka looked under the pews and he didn't see anything. He watched Elphaba just..give up. "Don't you want to find him! What are you doing just sitting there!"

"I DONT KNOW WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR!!" she yelled, her breaking point just... broke.

She stood and went to the altar where the religious artifacts were. "This is why I never believed! THIS is why you don't exist!" she said, resisting the urge to push them all over.

Instead, she trained her eye on the candles and blew them all out, except the one Ritsuka lit. Out of sheer courtesy

"What is wrong with you! Those were peoples wishes! Maybe if your friend wasn't so pent up on pleasing his comrades, he'd have more time for you. Or maybe you're just too hard on him!" Ritsuka turned around to leave.

"To hard on him? For wanting him to live for him? Wanting him to be honest?!" She shook her head, and the candles relit.

"You can't change him. He has to do that on his own." Ritsuka stood at the door way and glanced over his shoulder at her. "all you can do is hope."

She rolled her eyes. "Hope died when he died..." she mumbled, picking up a blue iris that lay on the alter.

The second love was gone. She couldn't bare it anymore. A tear streamed down her face, the entire way her skin sizzled lightly.

Ritsuka blinked. She was crying, but it didn't look like normal tears, this tear steamed on his face when it ran down her cheek. He walked up to her. "....but he's here now, isn't he? Shouldn't that alone make you happy! Just..being able to see him again."

She looked at him. "Him? No. Hope died when I was alive. Long before I came here... Luxord renewed it. Or... A small part of it." She took her sleeve and wiped her tear stained cheek.

"And now... My hope is missing." her voice waivered. She stared out of one of the windows. "He'll turn up... right Ritsuka?"

Ritsuka didn't know what to saw. Luxord had to be in the mansion right? According to everyone he talked to, there was no way out. "He's somewhere here. There's only so many places he can be. If you want, we can search everywhere."

She looked up at him. He looked so innocent, so optimistic. She stood. "I think he just may... may be sorting things out." she tried to make herself believe it.

"We should go. I shouldn't be in here." she said, starting toward the door.

"Did you make an offering?" Ritsuka jogged up by her side. "Maybe that will help."

"Offering?" she raised her eye. She spied the Mother Mary and grimaced. "I knew she wanted something..." she grumbled.

"You think it'll help?"

Ritsuka shrugged. "Maybe. This isn't the temple I'm used to, but I've seen her in picture books before. I think her name is Mary."

She walked up to the statue. She didn't have anything to give. She bit her lip and took off her hat and placed it in the statues hand.

"come on, lets go." she said, hurrying away from the statue, her hair flowing behind her

Ritsuka hurried behind her. "Your hair looks pretty that way," he said, following her out of the chapel.

She smiled to herself. "Thank you."
