[ allison had somehow gone through the night without even noticing derek. whether it was being distracted by isaac, or scott, or stiles or caroline or even cora, but somehow she hadn't seen derek. maybe that was just a talent of his, to go unnoticed along the outsides of social events, but the thought strikes her the moment she notices he's there.

and that moment happens to come with a slight jump, just because she'd been so worried, and therefore so focused, on the two idiots with the fire. but when she sees derek, there's a tight smile there. at least until she sees the extinguisher, in which the tightness falls into something closer to relief. ]

That was smart. [ she eyes the extinguisher, before looking back up at him, pulling her coat a little tighter around herself. ] Though at this point I feel like it'll be the least of our worries.
