Who: Charlie and anyone!
Where: Throughout the mansion
When: Feb 2nd & 3rd.
Rating: M
Summary:After the first day, Charlie ventures out of her room.
The Story:
Once she took one step outside her room, she immediately regretted it. There's a longing look over her shoulder at her door, but she inhales and moves down the hallway.
See, staying in her room, keeping to herself, that's the way to stay safe. It just feels wrong, leaving everyone else to the whims of the mansion and not even trying to help. During the 'armor adventure', as she likes to refer to it, she'd just locked herself up and rode out the event.
Armed with nothing but her brains (and maybe a handgun she asked her closet for - just in case, you know), she sneaks through the halls, looking for anyone else or, even better, a group of people she can stick with.
Strength in numbers and all that.

There's plenty of sayings about words and the power of them, but to literally take them? That's a new one to her.

"Maybe if someone's here long enough they'd want to forget." It's a little depressing to think about. "Living here for years, not knowing when you'll be able to go home and even then you won't remember anything of this place? There's gotta be some kind of damage to someone's psyche or something."
Not that she's an expert about this stuff.

"Fantastic." She says a little wearily, glancing behind them as they enter the library. She closes the door tight before turning around and scanning the area real quick for any signs of statues with intent in their....stone.
"Guess now we've got to search this whole place just to be sure. I don't hear anyone else in here, do you?"
no subject
"I don't either." He looks around the library. "And this place is big enough we could be playing hide and seek and not know it."
no subject
"Okay, how about we take it a row at a time? Just peek down, see if the coast is clear."
It shouldn't take too long - just forever. Better to be safe than an old lady, though.

"See anything?" She whispers this, even if moments ago they were talking at a normal level.

She may hit him now.

"Okay, smartypants. I'm gonna look down the next one."
And it might take her a minute or so to build up her courage, but she manages a look down the next row. "Safe here!"

And for a bit, she keeps quiet, relaxing as they check more rows and come up with nada. That's always good news.
"Oh, hey." She spins around to look at him. "If you see a closet in here or anything, let me know. I wanna grab a couple of mirrors and see if I can rig up something by the door. Just in case."

Ed checks the next row and has to choke off a startled curse when he comes almost nose to nose with a Weeping Angel. "Uh."
no subject
"Uh, you okay?" It's out before she sees the statue and by then her eyes are already wide with fear. "Crap. Crap! Okay, strategy time."
And she edges around Edward, keeping her eyes on the angel as she creeps by it to get behind the thing.
"Ideas?" Her eyes are starting to burn from the effort to keep from blinking.

"Okay, wow. How'd you do that?" It seemed so familiar, the motions and the energy shooting down to the floor. "Are you some kind of wizard and didn't tell me?"
She needs to start a poll around here - who can do the magic and who can't.

Or angels--normal ones--, or various other things.

"I know who you are!" Which is a silly statement considering, yes, she's known him since her first day here. "Not from Wonderland, but before. Home. Fullmetal Alchemist!"

Charlie had her animanga craze days when she was younger - usually she focuses on LARPing and video games as the years have gone by.

He's not even sure what a couple of those things were.

She's spent some time in fandom circles. She knows.

Those get ugly. Deciding that the angel isn't going to bother them anytime soon, she turns her full attention on Edward.
"Before you ask what it is - trust me. You're better off not knowing." Unless he does know, and then she'll just have to give him a sympathetic pat on the back. That stuff is rough.
