[ Okay, so it's not expected that Crowley will recognize Blake, but she at least figures he would have crawled out of his hole a little earlier than late afternoon to know that something's going on in Wonderland.

Blake purses her lips a little more and tucks that long hair behind her ear. Interesting that a demon's so willing to help, isn't it? ]

What's the angle here? [ It's said almost casually as she settles a bit, deciding to see this out some. She's not lying, right? Just... gently maneuvering the truth. Crowley should appreciate that. ]

[ Crowley wouldn't just appreciate it. He would admire it if it weren't being used on him.

He frowns. ]

I can't say I have much of one. Should I? Are you secretly incredibly useful?

[ He's joking, but he doesn't much care whether that reads correctly or not. ]

Name's Crowley. I've been here about a year, but if you'd rather stumble around blindly, be my guest.

[ How long should she keep this up? It feels a bit wrong, but then again, there's a whole plethora of payback possible here, isn't there? Not that she should be thinking that way...

Clearing her throat, she nods and that semi-unruly hair is right back in her face. Seriously, a haircut is feeling pretty necessary right now. ]

Not sure if it's all that much of a secret how useful I am, Crowley. Maybe you weren't payin' attention?

[ She tilts her head, and despite how awful she ought to feel for it, Blake's amused. ]

Maybe. Maybe not.

[ He shrugs and gives her a once-over. She looks pretty human to him, but then again there are some power humans out there. Cocky ones, too. ]

This isn't your world, though, so whatever you might assume I know, let's pretend I'm an alien from another planet and I've no clue about anything at all.

[ She points at him in a way that might be reminiscent of the Blake Crowley knows, but it, along with her burgeoning grin, is covered pretty quickly by Blake turning to glance around "casually" as she answers.. ]

You'll be sorry when I quote you on that. "I've no clue about anything at all."

[ Crowley huffs and sends her a glare. ]

Here I am trying to be friendly and helpful and you're calling me stupid with my own words. I can't tell if I should be impressed or angry.

[ Without the blood, he likely would have started to yell by now, but there's a calm that even this can't quite knock out. It really is unlike any high Crowley's experienced. ]

Somethin' tells me you might be a little of both when you finally figure things out.

[ He gives her an appraising look, squinting just a little. His perception is perhaps a bit fuzzy right now and he wonders just what it is that he's missing here. ]

Give me a clue, at least. Are you from my world?

[ He freezes and then pulls a face and looks off to the side. ]

You're not a hunter, are you?

[ Between the lines, he's really asking if she's a bloody Winchester and if she is, he quits. ]

Because I have a truce with the Winchesters. You can ask them.

Don't they usually wear flannel?

[ It's just a comment, harmless in its own right. ]

But, no, not a hunter. And not... new. To Wonderland.

[ Admittedly, this is probably so unexpected, but Blake would like to think she would pick out a female Crowley if that was something that might happen. ]

[ Crowley tilts his head to the side, looks her up and down again, and then squints even more.

Something is going on. Either someone's been stalking him or they've changed bodies. Has Crowley changed, too?

He looks down at his hands, but they look like the right hands. No.

Looking back at the woman, it might start to become clear that he's only operating at about 90% here. ]

You're human.

[ It's not a question. ]

Were you always human?

[ Despite the change in gender, Blake happens to be every bit as good at analyzing the world around her. She doesn't fail to notice that Crowley's working with a handicap here, and while she'd generally be the type to put a person out of their misery, she can't pass up an opportunity to mess with a demon (moreso than usual).

She smiles somewhat sweetly, hands linking together behind her back, head tilting to one side. ]

Yeah, far as I know, at least. Unless you're talkin' philosophically, an' then, really, who among us can claim bein' entirely human?

Oh, come on. Throw me a bone here. I need a clue unless this is a weird stalker thing, in which case I'm flattered.

[ The "but no thanks" is left off, because, really, he's not above getting it where he can. ]

[ Well, he'll certainly be hard pressed to get it here, although don't think it hasn't crossed her mind to see what it's like from this side of the fence. What? She's still (kind of) got the brain of a dude!

She smirks and even rolls her eyes, putting on a little attitude. ]

Spoilsport. [ Just sayin'. ] Let's just say goin' near the gazebo's gonna prob'ly gain you some boobs, too. So be careful 'bout that, unless you're interested in tryin' to figure out how a bra works from the wrong side of it.

[ He gives one last squint and it's the speech that gives it away in the end. ]

Blake?

What makes you think I've never been in a female body?

[ He raises an eyebrow, because, come now if anyone has already tried it from the other side of the fence, it's this demon.

He moves closer now, a smirk forming. ]

I think I like you like this.

[ Oh god, she doesn't want to talk about Crowley being in a female body, be it by possession or otherwise. Not because there's anything particularly wrong with that, but more because she doesn't want to consider that when it's followed pretty quickly by a statement like "I think I like you like this."

She shrugs a little and finds it feels strange, but not unnatural. ]

Think you'd like me any way. But this ain't bad. Could be worse.

[ He obviously would, but voicing that out loud seems like some line he doesn't want to cross for himself, especially right now. Hadn't he told himself not to be around Blake when he's so... compromised? Because it's not Blake who he doesn't trust. ]

But you just so happen to always come in a nice wrapper, so I guess we'll never know.

[ If this was anyone else, Crowley would offer to show him what sex is like for a woman, but as it stands, he's entirely sure that that won't go over well, even if there's something poetic in the idea of it.

Still, he can't quite keep his eyes from roaming. Or he doesn't want to. ]

[ It's already bad enough to have to figure out make up, so getting down to business in the bedroom seems like it would take more than just a... heh, guiding hand. Blake runs a hand through her hair and purposefully positions herself so that derriere is not directed at Crowley. ]

Guess we won't. Didn't exactly pick this package, but... well, whoever I'm s'posed to be seems nice enough.

[ Really, is this what she'd look like if she were actually born a girl? Weird. ]

Just like helpful demons.

[ SEE? Blake caught you, Crowley. Caught you being nice. ]

Well, I'd be even more helpful if I'd known that it was you.

[ He laughs, trying to cover up how uncomfortable this whole thing is for him. Blake leaves him feeling so compromised and raw with the blood. It's like mixing medications and it's working just a little too well.

Looking at Blake now only cements that it's not just that he finds Blake attractive. It's so much more than that.

That thought hits him like a ton of bricks. ]

How, ah, how are you finding it so far?

[ His confidence is all but shot to Hell. Blake and humanity may as well be a deadly combination for him. ]

[ A deadly combination, eh? Blake's not the type of person to revel in such details, but she'd certainly find it that interesting to know. Thankfully, she's not a mind reader, so this conversation can move on like (semi) normal. ]

It's— [ Blake has to think about it, because all the knee-jerk descriptors seem to come up short. ] It's diff'rent. Feel... lighter, I guess.

[ A (dainty) shrug. ] Definitely had worse here.

[ And then, ] These clothes aren't exactly workin' for me, though. [ It's just not a good fit anymore (and leave it to Blake to worry about that before much else). ]

[ Crowley eyes him up and down again. At least focusing on the physical is easier. Crowley's always enjoyed sex and he's always had an appreciation for the finer things in life. ]

I'm going to argue that they're working all too well, darling, but if you're in need of a makeover, I would be happy to oblige.

[ Oh, come on, you're just going to leer like that? Granted, Blake probably brought it on herself, but that doesn't mean that Crowley shouldn't still consider who he's talking to here. ]

Pretty sure that's somethin' I can handle on my own.

[ Blake does have some fashion sense, after all. ]

So, what're you out doin'? Just cruisin' for newbies?

[ That earns Blake a flat, unimpressed look. ]

Yes, darling. I'm cruising for newbies.

[ He rolls his eyes. ]

I was going for an afternoon stroll to clear my head. Things are still feeling a bit jumbled. A year there and a year here and I'm still not sure what order it all happened in.

[ The blood certainly doesn't help the jumbling, but this is the honesty he can offer Blake. He's overwhelmed and unsure and he can let his guard down around Blake enough for him to see that. ]

Ah. Heard of that problem, yeah.

[ Feeling oddly sociable, Blake falls in line with Crowley, her steps leading a bit along the path for maybe guide the direction they're going. ]

Never did get a chance to hear what happened.

[ Which is to say, now that Dean's back, Blake has room to breathe again. Of course, now there's more room than expected, but that could certainly be dealt with later. ]

[ Crowley hums, trying to figure out how best to approach everything. ]

Where I last left off, I was at odds with the boys. Cas had just run off with something we all wanted and left all of us all high and dry for our troubles.

I managed to find him and where he'd hidden the thing, clever kitten that he is, but that all fell apart quickly.

Not long after, Sam tried to... "cure" me, but didn't finish the job.

[ He uses finger quotes there. ]

After that... Dean kept me in the trunk of his car for a few days and in a dungeon for a few months after that, allowing for another demon to attempt a coup.

Meanwhile, Sam was having some... difficulties and I helped him in exchange for my freedom and now Dean and I are trying to take the demon down together. You know how I love a good homoerotic buddy cop adventure. Dean and I make a good team when we've got a common enemy, not that he ever wants to think so.

[ Now, Blake's a pretty sharp tack, but the way Crowley just rattles it all off succinctly and precisely almost leaves her reeling. She puts a hand to her forehead and the other gestures to suggest her mind's blown. ]

That sounds like— [ She shakes her head. Knowing everyone as she does, to Blake it sounds so implausible she almost wants to laugh. But Crowley seems pretty insistent, and what use would there be in lying? Although, to be fair, Blake wouldn't be able to tell one way or another. ]

Sounds like you had a lot on your plate. How's it feel, then?
