[open] event catch-all
Who: Samandriel and YOU!
Where: Throughout the mansion and the grounds.
When: 03/20 - 03/27
Rating: PG-13 to be safe?
Summary: It's his first event, and while Samandriel's being careful about it, he still manages to get himself into a few situations.
The Story:
playground's effects;;
[It's the first strange thing he's noticed. After everything he's heard about the odd events that happen around Wonderland from time to time, when he spots a large playground that certainly hadn't been there before, he of course grows suspicious. And, perhaps, too curious for his own good.
He spends a fair amount of time investigating it thoroughly, and doesn't realize at first that by the time he's flitted through the whole thing, he's undergone quite a change. Or rather, not him, but his vessel. The body he's using has been de-aged significantly, no longer a young adult, now a child. By the time he does realize, he's spent even more time on the jungle gym.
Stuck, now, in such a small body, the angel can be found anywhere through the mansion, appearing to be a perfectly normal little boy to most. He's at least grateful that he and his memories are intact, but it would be nice to not be barely taller than most peoples' knees.]
tower;;
[Once his annoying spell spent as a small child has come to an end, Samandriel, purely by accident, finds himself in the newly added tower in the mansion. He had planned to avoid all of the recent additions after seeing the effects they have on others, but the tower... He hasn't seen anyone affected poorly by it.
Of course, the longer time he spends inside, the more strangely at home he feels. Yes, he's supposed to be here. He had no prior idea of what on earth Hogwarts was, but now-- Well, now he remembers that he's obviously a student here!
With that in mind, he flutters to and from classes, and can be found at various places around the tower, possibly reading up or working on homework.]
[ooc: whether we had plans or none, feel free to tag in! days don't particularly matter to me as I've only got the two effects for Samandriel, so I am happy to fit into whatever day works for you, if it matters. all bitty!Samandriel replies will come from

[during deaging - hope that's okay!]
A few hours later finds Krissy down to six cookies... and completely lost. She doesn't seem terribly worried about it, though. She's still just wandering along, pulling and pushing lightly on random items she comes across in the hopes one of them will make the wall slide apart or a door pop open or something.
She's in the middle of trying to pull a rather large picture away from the wall to see if there's a hole hidden behind it when she senses she's no longer alone. Quickly she releases the bottom corner of the frame and spins around, hands held behind her back and eyes wide.
At the sight of a young boy who looks close to her age standing there instead of an adult, she releases a loud sigh of relief.]
You spooked me! I thought you was a grown-up!
totally okay! c:
For several moments, he's simple standing there behind her, silent and watching as she starts pulling at a picture. Even without his making any indication that he's there, however, it seems she catches on, and he soon finds himself face to face with her.
Head canting just slightly to the side, he takes note of the fact that she definitely sounds like a child, in her manner of speaking. Does the playground affect the minds of humans as well as their bodies? Or is she really just a child? Curious.]
What are you trying to do? [Totally ignoring what she's said, he nods up to the piece of art.] With the painting?
no subject
I'm looking for a super-duper secret hole that'll go to a hidden passage, duh. Like on Scooby-Doo!
[She pauses and frowns a little.]
Uh, sorry about the duh. I guess that was kind of mean.
[Her gaze slips back to the painting for a second before she turns to him once more.]
Think you can keep look-out, case any grown-ups come by? [A pause.] Oh, and what's your name anyhow? I'm Krissy. [She smiles broadly at her introduction.]
no subject
But then, he has to remind himself, she's a child. Children are...stranger than adults. He understands them less, but he decides to just consider searching for hidden passages a child thing.]
It's all right.
[He shakes his head, not caring about her "duh". Her actions weren't obvious to him, but perhaps they should have been. How is he to be sure?]
Oh, I-- I suppose. [Surprised to be asked to keep watch, he blinks a little, taken aback. He'll agree, in any case, because at least if she's going to be getting herself into trouble, as her lack of want for adults to see her seems to suggest, he'll be able to keep her safe.] My name is Samandriel.
...Is this...something you're not supposed to be doing?
no subject
What kind of name is that?! It's got about eleventy letters in it and is super long and I'm just gonna call you Sam. That's lots easier. [With a decisive nod, she gives a slight shrug.] And I dunno if I'm s'posed to look for secret passages or not. I haven't talked to that many grown-ups and my daddy's not here.
[She looks a touch sad at that but pushes the feeling aside and gives Samandriel a grin.]
But just in case I'm not s'posed to be snooping, you keep a look-out. You can even have one of my cookies if you want. They're super yummy. [And cue her pulling a handful of broken chocolate-chip cookies from her pocket and offering it to him.]
no subject
Alright. [He doesn't mind her using a nickname if that's what works better for her--at least Sam is closer to Samandriel than Alfie is, as Dean had taken to calling him.
He supposes he can keep lookout for her too. It's doubtful that it's against any rules for her to be poking around for secret passages, but he doesn't mind. At least he can help somebody, and it's better than standing around, wasting time.]
I can watch for you. [With that decided, he looks down at the cookies held out to him with a curious expression. Food of any kind is something he's never actually tried. At all. It's not something he requires, so it's not something he's ever taken part in, and as curious as the cookies make him, he shakes his head.] No, that's alright. I don't mind looking out, I don't need any form of payment.
no subject
Although she does make one more observation before turning her attention back to the painting.]
I don't mean to be rude but you talk kind of funny. Like a grown-up, sorta.
[Sliding the painting away from the wall, her shoulders slump a bit and she sighs heavily.] And this one's a bust, too. Stupid big old house and its stupid hidden passages that're so good at hiding I can't find 'em. [She gives the wall a frustrated kick before turning back to Samandriel and smiling brightly.] OK, let's go. There's lots more to check.
[Then something occurs to her and she pauses.]
You don't, uh, got somebody who's gonna be looking for you, do you? Your folks or somebody else?
no subject
[It's just that--an observation. He doesn't see how it could possibly be offensive in the least, so he simply resumes watching her as she works at the painting. He's not exactly looking up and down the hallways to make sure they aren't seen, but then, he doesn't have to to know if someone is coming or not.
When she kicks the wall in her frustration, his eyebrows raise, and his head tips a little to the side, giving him the appearance of a curious bird. His curiosity only increases when she turns from the kick with a bright smile. Humans are strange, but their children are even stranger, he decides.]
No, it's doubtful that anyone will be looking for me. My brothers mostly do their own things. [The only reason they'd be likely to look for him is if there's something wrong, so...they probably won't be bothered. Prepared to carry on with her to wherever else she wants to look, Samandriel has to prompt his own question.] Why are you looking for hidden passages?
no subject
[Her answer comes instantly and matter-of-fact as she turns to head further down the hallway. It really does seem to go on forever.
She pulls a piece of cookie out of her pocket but, before she eats it, she glances over at Samandriel with another curious look.]
How many brothers do you got?
