What's left to believe in? [INCOMPLETE LOG]

Who: Ritsuka Aoyagi ([livejournal.com profile] sleeping_memory) and Sheena Fujibayashi ([livejournal.com profile] pinkribbonmagic)
Where The Chapel
When: Right after this
Rating: I'd prolly say... PG-13 to be on the safe side. Nothing too bad~
Summary: Sheena's out and about because she's antsy. She misses a certain idiot *kaffZeloskaff* but doesn't want to admit it, so she's walking around, letting her head clear before heading to bed. ... however, when she peers into the chapel, she's confronted with a mess and something she wasn't expecting. :o
the Story:

Having been in bed for at least 30 minutes, the chief successor to Mizuho found herself unable to sleep. Sheena's mind flittered to the ball and the lack of someone's presence and she had been worried. Worried enough that he may have dissapeared once again and hadn't made any mention of it. Sitting up in bed, she ran a hand through her messy black locks before resigning that she wasn't going to be getting any sleep any time soon. The ninja girl crawled out of her warm covers and began pulling her hair back up into its messy pony tail. ".. if I'm going to be awake, I may as well get something to drink." Sighing, she slipped on her the top part of her top and tied it with a half-assed ribbon before placing her cards in her safe place (while she wasn't going to put on her full outfit, she wasn't going to go unprepared at least).

She slipped on some tabi and slipped into a pair of geta before slipping out the door of her room and heading downstairs to the first floor. It was very silent in the mansion, something she had noticed while wandering around to see if she could find a way out of this place everyone had found themselves in. She walked through all the different hallways, remembering when she went down this way to find Raine, and when she had seen Lloyd in the kitchen... Sheena shook her head and continued down the hallway, stopping when she saw the chapel door open. Blinking as she passed by, she saw that the room was astrew with candles and the place a general mess. Sighing, she walked into the room and looked around, "... this is such a mess."

To which she began picking up things and trying to tidy things up. Maybe this would tired her enough that she could sleep.

Under the pew, Ritsuka was still curled up into a tiny ball. Tears had been cut off with soft sniffles. A red nose accented his red rimmed eyes. What that man had said didn't lift Ritsuka's hopes. Instead, Ritsuka was back to where he had started. The statue didn't grant wishes, did it?

Ritsuka's thoughts were interrupted when he heard some shuffling within the chapel. Opening his eyes, he listened carefully. There was someone in the chapel. Ritsuka moved silently towards the edge of the pew, peeking out of the side. For a moment, his stomach felt as if butterflies were beating against it. What he saw was a person, with their back to him. Ritsuka's eyes were certainly playing a cruel trick against him or perhaps it was the fact that Ritsuka wanted this person to be Seimei so much that he lost whatever rationality he had left. In either case, Ritsuka slowing got up from his spot, holding onto the pew to balance himself.

He wasn't sure if he was dreaming or not.

Ritsuka took a few steps back, moving in the opposite direction of Sheena and towards the other end of the room. He still held the cloth close to him and the scratch he had gotten on his cheek from the broken glass was caked crimson. His expression was that of utmost sadness, for once again his hopes had let him down. The small flicker of it that still remained when he thought Sheena might have been someone else. He shut his eyes and opened them again, still seeing the figure of a woman without ears and no indication whatsoever that Seimei had been here at all.

He just looked around at the mess he had made, slightly shaking his head in the process. He wasn't attacked, there was no struggle. He opened his mouth to speak, but he didn't know what to say. He was trying to regain his bearings before he attempted to talk to her again.

"Don't move any closer!" Ritsuka demanded, his small voice sounded throughout the room. He didn't trust this woman, not after what had just happened.

He put the cloth behind his back, he wasn't going to let this woman take away the candle or the photograph from him, "I didn't..." Ritsuka's head lowered as he looked down at his feet. "..do all of this.."

Ritsuka watched Sheena closely, trying to read her moves. He was never good at it, but he was alone in this strange place and he needed to be on his guard. He gave Sheena a small nod.

Though, when she asked his name, he wasn't so agreeable. "I don't know who you are. How did you get here? You should go."

Ritsuka eyed the suspicious woman as he began to head towards the door, "I don't believe you." He was hestitant, wondering if he should make a run for it now or to try and sneak through the door unnoticed. However, Sheena kept a close eye on him as if she was watching his every step. "I don't believe any of you.." his voice then dropped into an inaudible whisper, "not even her." The statue, Ritsuka felt, had betrayed him. It didn't grant wishes, it didn't even seem to want him to escape from the chapel.

"Who sent you?"

He blinked, he opened his mouth only to close it again as his lips pursed together. "Hmph." It wasn't his mess, at least, it wasn't an intentional mess. That man, who Ritsuka still didn't know the name of, was the one who scared him in the first place. "I didn't do it on purpose."

Ritsuka was close to the door now, turning towards his exit to freedom, he looked back at the woman still standing by the candles. Sighing, he slowly made his way towards the candles strewn on the floor. He placed the wrapped cloth on to of the mantlepiece that the statue stood upon. Kneeling down, he picked up the candles, looking up at Sheena as he did it and keeping a close eye on his possessions in the cloth.

It was his fault though, wasn't it? That man may have purposely frightened him, but maybe he shouldn't have gone to the chapel in the first place.
