Who: Larxene [
sadistaddiction], Reno [
vivalareno]
Where: Larxene & Reno's room[s], Hallway, Kitchen, Spa
When: SOOOO LONG AGO! Like, two weeks ago maybe? The weekend Larxene said she was going to go find a spa, and Reno tagged along XPP
Rating: XXX... Except not. 14A to be safe... it's FILLED TO THE BRIM with sexual activity and innuendos, but never any sex, le sigh...
Summary: Reno + Larxene + Spa = You can only imagine.
The Story:
Again. They had made a playdate again. The last one hadn’t exactly gone in the direction she had planned, but Larxene couldn’t help but admit it had been a rather…satisfying change of events.
The blonde threw open her closet door and sighed. Jackets. Boots. That track suit she had worn last time. A couple bathing suits. All terribly inappropriate clothing for the weekend trip she was planning to take with her neighbour. Minus the bathing suits. She’d have to take one of those.
Tapping her foot impatiently, Larxene scanned the closet once more. She pushed the mammoth jackets aside and laid her eyes on an outfit she hadn’t worn since she had tried to use a gym regularly. Pfft. As if she needed to.
Stripping out of her everyday wear, she slipped into a pair of (extremely short) black terrycloth shorts and an equally small tube top. She smiled and licked her lips. Spending a weekend in a spa would require removal of her clothes anyway…wouldn’t it? Most likely.
Larxene walked over to the make-shift door connecting the rooms of her and Reno, making sure to grab the bag she had stuffed with necessities. She stopped just before opening the door, if that’s what you wanted to call it, and reached over to a shelf to grab a fluffy yellow towel. She wrapped it around her body and sniggered. Picking up the bag a second time, she pulled open the door and stepped through.
Ever since he had agreed to spend the weekend with the Doll, Reno had been dreaming about Wutai, and the smallest look of relief had been plastered to his face. Of course it was sort of short lived, considering he realized there was probably no chance he'd ever get to go back to Wutai now that he was here. When were they all getting out of here? Reno was starting to realize that was a pathetic question to be asking even after the first week, but it didn't stop him, or anyone else in the mansion for that fact.
He'd found a pair of black swimming shorts in his closet - no surprise, and under his bed had been a small bag, once again, no surprise. So he had stuffed the bag with whatever he felt he needed, and was just about to head into the bathroom to grab a towel when he heard the door open. Now, Reno never said he was a master at carpentry, but Turks could do everything, and so the makeshift door was, for the week, the redhead's pride and joy, despite the few gaps here and there where he had measured wrong. Just because he could do everything didn't mean he did it perfect; he tried, and he usually did, but he wasn't required to be a godsend.
"Just 'cause I built it for ya Doll don't mean you can't knock," he muttered teasingly as he tossed his head back to look at her before he slipped into the bathroom. When he emerged, towel slung over his shoulder, he bit the inside of his cheek at the sight of her. "Tell me you're not naked under that," he said, adding 'because if you are, we ain't leaving this room.' in his head.
Larxene looked back at the door and shrugged. "Guess I forgot."
At the mention of her being naked, she rolled her eyes. "That’s for me to know and you to find out," she told him, pausing before adding, "if you’re a good boy."
She had decided against shoes again, not wanting to deal with the taking them off and putting them back on process. It was just too much. Really.
"I do hope you’ve stopped at the kitchen," she told him offhandedly, opening the door and entering the hallway. Without really waiting for him, she headed to her left where there was a great staircase. Perhaps what they were looking for could be found over there.
Reno gave a cheeky smile at her remark, adding a mock salute even though her back was turned and she was at the door; he could be the best damn boy she could imagine. Turks were good at following orders, you know.
Of course, just because Reno could follow orders didn't mean he always did; like when the Doll had told him to grab food for their little vacation. Gulping air thickly, he wondered just how bloody she would be willing to get her hands if he said he had forgotten. The picture didn't go over well in his mind, "Course I did! But I figured we'd be going past, so I left it to keep cool and all, y'know…" Plausible, right? Plus, Reno was a spectacular liar; that was for sure.
Slinging the bag over his towel covered shoulder, Reno lunged out of the room after her and out into the hall, staying a step behind her cautiously. It wasn't like they were dating - far from it, actually.
Larxene thundered down the stairs (or at least made as much noise as she could barefoot) and swung to her immediate right after mastering four flights. Throwing open the door to the kitchen she looked around. Much to her (would have been) surprise, a giant picnic basket sat on the middle of the table.
Smirking and holding her towel close to her body, she stood on her toes and peeked inside. A wide variety of treats lay in there packed nicely from fruits to candy, cheese and crackers to cookies and in one corner, a bottle of champagne. She frowned and pulled it out.
"Nice try Romeo, but I think my husband might get a little jealous."
He'd practically been ready to break a sweat chasing after her like that. If he didn't know better, he would have said she was as excited as a kid at Christmas, but that wasn't the case.
Entering the kitchen quite a while after her, Reno counted just how many lucky stars he had left, and found he was running out. Regardless, the basket of food he had been hoping for had appeared, and full no less, so Reno was safe for one more day, or hour, or minute - who knew with the blonde woman before him.
Of course, the champagne had been an added bonus, he hadn't exactly been thinking of it, but it served a nice touch… until he heard what she had to say. Married? What?! It wasn't the flower guy was it?! There were so many things that just didn't add up to that statement. But even back in Midgar Reno hadn't let things like wedding rings crush his cool;
"Well if he gets jealous over a bottle of champagne, I can only imagine how he feels about me accompanying you this weekend, or if he found out about our lovely little playdate…"
Stuffing the bottle back into the basket, she gestured for Reno to pick it up for her.
"Honestly? If he ever found out he wouldn’t mind this weekend, but might cry if he knew the details of just how much we enjoy playing together. Marluxia on the other hand, would probably kill you."
It was only natural, she assumed, that Reno thought Marluxia to be her husband. Now she hadn’t actually gone off and married anyone, but Zell had appointed himself as her husband, so she might as well play along. There wasn’t much else to be done about it.
Larxene put a finger up to her mouth and smirked. "Having second thoughts?"
With a grunt he hauled the basket into the crook of his free arm without another word, licking his lips in that cocky self-assured way he was famous for and smirking - it was nothing but nature to him, considering he was actually losing his mind trying to figure this all out. So if she wasn't Marluxia's (and thank God for that) then she must have been with one of the other guys in her little "Organization." But the rest of them were all freaks, especially those two - Vexen and Saix. That Luxord guy had his own troubles, and well, Reno couldn't remember just who the others were… their leader… Whatever, or whoever it was, it didn't seem to be stopping her, so it sure as Hell wasn't stopping Reno. He hadn't had this much fun with a Doll in quite some time. And whatever consequences he would have to pay, he could take care of himself.
"Hey, if you wanna play with me instead of him, it's his loss."
Larxene knew he was trying to figure everything out and she chuckled, peeking into doors in the hallway trying to find a spa or something that resembled one.
"Even so," she said, kicking open a door, "I don’t know if you know, but Zell’s pretty sensitive." She closed the door and continued, "Not that I care; he sprung this whole marriage thing on me without warning, but you know, whatever."
The hall veered off in two directions and Larxene tapped her foot against the carpet, deciding which way to go. Left? Or Right? She hadn’t ever seen either of the two corridors before and as much as she (may have) enjoyed running around half-naked, she wanted some goddamn pampering.
Left it was. There was light coming from the right and she didn’t particularly want to deal with that just yet.
If Reno wasn't so sure his ego would have been completely demolished, he would have let out a collective sigh and maybe laughed. She just adored fucking with him, didn't she? Zell, that kid was crazy - the two of them were a perfect match, the bastards. Reno smirked a little to himself, turning and following her out of the kitchen.
Now that that was all said and done, and Reno's ego was successfully bruised, he lost no time following her down various halls like a good little boy.
Traveling down the darker hallway in silence, Larxene began to grow (not exactly) irritated. Normally the redhead had more to say than she cared to listen to. Perhaps the news of her (somewhat false) marriage had upset him. Perfect.
The blonde was met abruptly by a wall. Frowning she looked to her left and then to her right, but a rather elegant wallpaper met her on both sides. She slammed a fist against the wall in front of her with a curse. Something clicked and without warning, the outline of a door formed on the papered plaster and opened.
Larxene jumped back lest a creature of some sort jump out at her, but instead, the hidden door revealed to her a white and jade room--no a series of rooms.
She stepped inside and her legs brushed a plant of some tropical sort. It didn’t bite or lash out at her and she smiled. At least Marluxia wouldn’t be able to whine to her if something…happened to it.
Reno had been just about to make some sort of halfassed remark about how she could have at least found the place before they went on this goose chase, but as her frustration grew and she hit the wall, he bit his tongue and kept it to himself. Getting a laugh out of her would be misery probably wasn't the best thing to do if he wanted to keep breathing.
When the second room, or hallway, or whatever it oh so magically was oh so magically appeared, the redhead had blinked several times and then remembered just where he was, and that it wasn't to be doubted things like this would happen. "Find it yet, Doll?"
Larxene had forgotten about Reno for a moment so she jumped when his voice floated through the air. She gazed around at her new surrounding and immediately pulled Reno in, shutting the door quickly behind them. It disappeared into the wall.
Where they stood, a glass table sat before a fluffy couch. Tropical plants with bright flowers overtook the walls and ceiling and if she wasn’t mistaken, Larxene was quite sure she saw some butterflies interlaced in the tangle of green, pink, yellow, blue.
Tossing the bag onto the couch (nearly missing the glass table) she padded down a few steps that led to the next part of the hidden paradise. Here the floor was tiled with what seemed to be real stones and a waterfall flowed down one of the walls and into a pool. It was a small pool compared to the one out back, but it could still easily accommodate a party of fifteen. At least. Near one end it was slightly cut off and the water bubbled and swirled. Larxene raised an eyebrow.
"I think I have, my dear," she finally replied. There were two other rooms that she could see, and if she had a heart, a great curiosity would have grown inside her.
Being dragged into the room - no, being grabbed, first of all, surprised Reno and he nearly dropped the basket, bag, and towel he was carrying. What he saw when he finally realized she wasn't grabbing him to slaughter him, was a sight for sore eyes - more or less. The room, or rooms really, reminded him of a more modern type of design he wouldn't have found in the traditional places back in Wutai, but it was good enough. He felt relaxed already, to say the least.
Following her down and into the room, Reno carefully placed the picnic basket on the table, and then dumped his own bag down beside hers before stepping up just behind her and smiling coyly. He opened his mouth to ask her if she was happy now, but decided otherwise; considering they hadn't even known how to get here, no one else would ever find his body. Instead, he carefully slid past her with a quiet, semi-relaxed, semi-amused grunt and headed straight for the pool.
Reno didn’t seem to be very talkative tonight, though he did have a swim in mind. (Not really) Irritated, Larxene grabbed hold of the length of his hair as he walked by her.
"Perhaps," she whispered, standing on her toes to reach his ear as she pulled him closer, "I preferred it when you weren’t such a good boy."
She brought a hand up to the piece of towel tucked in to keep it up. She wanted to play. Maybe not in the same way they had played before--not yet anyway, but she was bored and he was supposed to entertain her. He was afraid of her, and that was all well and good, but for God’s sake he didn’t have to be a robot.
The Turk yelped in shock when his head was jerked back, but quickly adjusted to save face (and from falling on his ass) and tilted his head back awkwardly to look at her face as best he could while she spoke.
That said, turquoise eyes lit up playfully and Reno turned on his heels rapidly to face her properly. In the same instant, he had her scooped up in his arms and his smile was only growing larger every second.
"You and me both," he muttered against the hollow of her collarbone, spinning on his heels once again and jumping (more accurately just falling) into the pool.
Water flowed over her head and Larxene fought the urge to electrocute the shit out of them. Had she a heart, this would have been called panic. But she didn’t, so it isn’t.
The towel was pulled off by the force and she could feel her hair coming out of it’s normal position, minus her bangs. Those things never moved.
Surfacing (and bringing Reno with her) she grinned, pushing him against the tiled edge of the pool, which was slightly difficult in the deep water.
"You’ve got some bite in you," she commented, nipping at his earlobe and feeling the wet skin beneath her body. "I like that."
Reno sputtered to get water out of his lungs and nose when his head came back up, but barely had the time to even throw his hair back before he was shoved against the pool. Kicking calmly to keep above water, he smoothed a hand through the hair that was escaping from the tie and sticking to his neck and shoulders.
"That's a relief," he said with a sarcastic breath.
With a huff, Larxene pushed herself away from the redhead and hoisted herself up out of the pool. She paused for a moment, watching the water drop onto the tiled floor before standing. She passed Reno and kicked him lightly in the head as she headed towards the couch.
With much difficulty, she pulled off her shirt and shorts and hurled it in Reno’s general direction. She yanked her bathing suit out of the bag and shimmied into both pieces.
"You could have warned me, you know," she huffed, although her voice noted that she (had she been able to) had enjoyed the surprise very much.
Licking the water off of his lips, he rolled his eyes behind closed lids and was about to talk when was kicked in the head. Water entered his nose and he coughed for a second before turning his head with narrowed eyes.
Before Reno could focus on where she was, he heard the soft sound of something landing on the floor near him, and then was met in the face with Larxene's shirt. When the material was pulled away so he could see, he felt his jaw go slack and his body heat up, and then he realized maybe staring wasn't the most polite thing to do.
"Where's the fun in that, yo?"
Turning back to face the water, he shoved away from the pool edge and dived under, resurfacing moments later at the other end of the pool.
The picnic basket on the table was terribly tempting and Larxene reached in to grab a banana. With her eyes completely focused on Reno, she peeled it slowly and deliberately. She took a small bite off the top, licking a small piece from her lip with a quick flick of her tongue. Without taking her eyes off those of the man across the way, she walked to his end of the pool and crouched just behind him.
"Want some?" she asked quietly, dangling the fruit before him.
Reno's turquoise eyes had been watching every movement in awe, his lips curving into the tiniest little smirk. He dunked his head under water and smoothed his hair back once while she walked around the pool towards him, then tilted his head back to smile at her.
"M'not all that hungry right now," he said, his lips twitching to stop from smiling, "But you go right ahead, looks like y're enjoyin' it, yo."
"'Enjoying' isn’t exactly the word I would use," Larxene told him, taking another bite of banana. "Try something with a little less…well, you know. Emotion."
Finishing the yellow fruit she licked her fingers and tossed the peel aside. She decided to lay down on the warm tile surrounding the body of water just next to him. A sly smile graced her features.
"Now you’ve heard my matrimonial confession, my dear, but what of your woman?" She paused to run her fingers through his hair. "What ever became of her?"
Fully twisting so he was properly facing her, Reno crossed his arms on the floor and rested his head against them, tilting it slightly when she spoke. His woman? To his recollection, he hadn't been with anyone else let alone another woman. No, Reno was a fairly antisocial little bugger lately, considering Rude was gone, Tseng had run off, and Rufus had been doing God knows what since God knows when.
And since the mansion seemed to favour screwing with Reno's memory more so than any other guest, he had forgotten about the months he had spent trying to make something with Tifa. Not to say he didn't remember the barmaid being there at one point; it was all just vague and blurry.
So really, the only person Reno could think of uttering a single word to lately was… Elena. The Rookie? Larxene didn't really think the two of them were… oh dear Lord.
With a strangled laugh, the Turk shook his head lightly, "She's got her eye on someone else."
Larxene regarded him quizzically. "Really? You say that as if you don’t really care."
To the best of her memory, Reno and Tifa had spent long nights up fighting and trying to make things ‘right’. Apparently everything was wrong because there had been no sign of the dark haired woman for quite some time. Not that Larxene was complaining, of course.
"The two of you seemed to be oh-so-in-love," she sighed mockingly. "Bringing her flowers, watching her kid… all men are the same then, aren’t they? Just up and disappear when you get bored."
The blonde smiled slowly and carefully. "Lucky for you I wouldn’t know heartbreak if it bit me in the ass."
Reno had attempted to listen, but once the mere thought of being with Elena had been brought to mind, he couldn't get the idea out of his head. There were many, probably hundreds, of times when he and the Rookie had used sex to their advantages to get something out of each other. And there was petty flirting here and there, but it would take a miracle, and the banning of any and all weapons on the planet, to even consider the two able to be together.
Mulling it all over in his head, he wasn't really listening to a single thing Larxene said. But because of years of practice, and listening to Tseng or Rufus giving out orders, speeches, warnings, yada yada yada, Reno at least looked like he was paying attention, and he had caught the last little bit.
"It's overrated anyway. People gotta learn to just have fun, yo." That said, Reno pulled himself out of the pool with a small smile and stood.
A vein twitched in Larxene’s temple. All these Goddamned people with hearts and none of them knew how to use them correctly. Especially men. Men were the absolute worst. If they weren’t so much fun, the blonde Nobody would have probably went to women instead. No, scratch that. Women were petty, catty and idiotic. That left her with only herself and that certainly wasn’t any fun. Men it would have to be.
She watched Reno lift himself out of the pool and stand before her. (Imitation) anger brewed within her. Yes, she had definitely not enjoyed watching and listening to him and that Tifa woman coo and giggle, and even more so, she had to endure their stupid fights that accomplished nothing and only ended in ‘I love you’s and apologies, but after all that, he had the audacity to just smirk and call it just a little bit of fun?
Seething, she stood and shoved him as hard as she possibly could, illuminating the room with streaks of lightning.
For being such a ladies man, Reno didn't have the best luck with them. It was almost ironic… or something. He could charm the pants off anyone, but that didn't mean he could keep them happy and suck up to them. He just said what he felt, and that whole 'think before you speak' concept? Reno had never heard of it.
Which was exactly why Reno was falling back into the pool and resurfacing with a lungful of water without a single clue as to what he had done or said wrong. Let alone the cracks of lightning that surrounded the large room. That was a whole other topic all on its own.
All patience and composure that had been a part of him for the better half of the day left the second he touched the water. Reno wasn't the kind of person to be shoved around and remain calm.
Whipping his head up with narrowed eyes, he slapped his hands into the water and kicked viciously, still spitting out water. "What the Hell was that for?!"
Bored with being angry, Larxene watched her favourite play thing bob and flail in the water. He was angry and confused and incredibly childish. The corners of her mouth turned up as she tilted her head to the side, examining the situation.
"You’re incredibly adorable when you’re clueless," she cooed, crouching down and extending her arm to offer him some help up. The lightning disappeared with a snap.
Seeing her smiling, Reno gritted his teeth and growled silently; for someone without a heart or emotions, she seemed to get a real kick out of turning his world upside down.
If that's how she wanted to play though, the redhead was going to play along. Muttering to himself, he reached up for her hand in defeat, and made as if to start climbing out of the pool. His intent was more than obvious though, as he left the annoyed frown on his face and pulled her into the water without warning for the second time that day.
Larxene was prepared to be pulled in and she didn’t resist. With a broad smirk on her face under the water, she used her free hand to find the waistband of his swimming trunks and yanked them down to his ankles. Shaking free of his hold, she swam away, giggling on the inside.
When she surfaced, she held her tongue lightly between her teeth and a playful grin on her face. Reno might have been afraid of her, but he wasn’t a whimpering cowardly pup.
"Catch me if you can," she dared, then dove under to swim even more out of his reach.
Struggling to pull his shorts back up, Reno muttered a string of lovely little words and then took off towards her. Not like it would be hard, as long as she stayed in the pool, at least. Which he almost doubted she would do if she wanted to really annoy him.
Diving under for a short stretch, Reno emerged and cursed some more when he had the chance to realize his hair tie had finally come off. A few feet away the Doll was still under water, and with a smirk Reno swam up, hoping to corner her when she came up.
To make a portal or not to make a portal? That was the question laying heavily on Larxene’s mind as she held her breath (quite unnecessarily) under the water. On one had, she would easily get away from the slightly angered man chasing her, but on the other hand, she would win anyway. Might as well let him think he’s smarter.
She surfaced and let out a small gasp. It had meant to be an intentional intake of air to make him believe he had cornered her all on his own, but even Larxene had to admit to herself that he was a lot closer than she had imagined him to be. Not to mention he had somehow managed to lose that thing holding back his hair and now it floated lazily around him. Had she a heart, it may have just stopped.
Reno smiled, using both hands to push the hair out of his face before resting them on the cold tiled edges on either side of Larxene. With a tiny huff, he looked over her face.
"Caught'cha."
"It seems that you have," Larxene murmured. She slid her eyes to the side for a moment, then created a portal to the other side of the pool.
"It seems though, that I’m just too clever."
With a snarky grin, she dove under the water again, inviting him to chase her. The water was warm and deep. Swimming wasn’t exactly her expertise, but it was a welcome change from just sitting around all day.
As the woman before him suddenly vanished, Reno was left blinking, and silently mouthed, "What the Hell was that?" before he turned to see her appear, and then dive under once more.
Wasting no time, he dived under, eyes stinging slightly at the chlorine as he squinted to try and see her under the water. Reaching out, Reno grabbed hold of her foot and pulled her back as best he could; instantly wrapping his arms around her torso and heading for the surface.
"You're not getting away this time Doll." He purred against the back of her neck once both of their heads were above water.
It would have been a shock to Larxene as she was pulled backwards up against Reno, but we all know that there’s no way that’s possible. She grinned as he purred against her body, tilting her head back so her neck rubbed against his mouth.
"I’m not entirely sure I want to now," she whispered, kicking her legs lazily in the water.
Taking the incentive, Reno quickly kissed at her neck; twisting and turning in the water until he was in front of her and had one leg wrapped around hers. Yes, he enjoyed playing around and such, but enough was enough!
"Good to know," he muttered.
Larxene carelessly draped her arms over his shoulders and pressed her forehead to his.
"You know, this pool’s getting a little cold." It was a lie, a blatant one at that, but playtime had just barely begun. She slid her leg out from his hold and once again lifted herself from the pool.
There were towels set on a lounge chair nearby so the blonde grabbed two. After all, Reno had decidedly soaked her first one. She wrapped one around her body and held the other out to the man still in the pool.
"No tricks," she said, waving the white cloth in front of him.
As she scampered away so easily, Reno sighed silently to himself, muttering a "Come on," under his breath before he dunked his head under the water one last time and climbed out of the pool.
Grabbing the towel with a thankful smile, he patted his face dry and then pulled the goggles from his forehead down to hang around his neck while he towelled out his hair lazily and then wrapped it around his waist.
With a flicker in his eyes, he brushed past her with a "Pardon me," and headed for the basket of food. Grabbing an apple, he threw it up a little and rolled it down his forearm playfully before taking a large bite and rocking on his heels.
Not hungry, Larxene sat herself down on the couch before the table, shoving their bags onto the floor. She put her feet up to rest on the glass and watched Reno show off with the piece of fruit. She rolled her eyes and coughed delicately.
"Is showing off all you know how to do?" She asked, flicking some water out of her hair. The blonde strands were starting to curl slightly and she glared at them. Unfortunately, they refused to straighten on command.
She sank further into the cushions, accidentally pushing the table forward with her feet as she did so. She let out a small curse before wedging her feet into the brass bars that held the top up in attempt to pull it back to its original position.
"It's what I'm good at," he retorted quickly, not letting the attempt to bring him down phase him at all. The redhead was very, very proud of his ego, and it took quite a bit to bruise it. Finishing the apple in three more bites, he tossed it in the trashcan so conveniently located a few feet away and got it in.
When the table before him started to skid forward, he wasted no time lifting his foot to stop it and help her push it back into place. Smirking softly, Reno walked around and kneeled onto the couch, one leg between hers, and one hand on her thigh, the other resting on the cushions beside her head.
"But it's not all I know how to do," the Turk whispered sweetly against the side of her face, "I know how to do a lot."
It came again, that feeling. It wasn’t an emotional one, something that lifted her spirits or made her heart flutter. That sort of thing just wasn’t entirely plausible. Instead, the feeling skittered across her skin and dove into her stomach releasing all kinds of winged animals.
Larxene wanted to kick herself. She needed to do something. Never before had she (almost) felt vulnerable. Why was it--how was it, that her favourite toy made her feel like the one being controlled?
"Oh I know that," she breathed, resisting the urge to pull him close and claw at his back. "But I’ll bet you haven’t shown me the half of it."
Laughing coyly into her ear with a somewhat cheeky smile, Reno licked his bottom lip and massaged little circles into her thigh. If only he knew what he was getting himself into, but he didn't have a clue. Besides, he couldn't break her heart, she didn't have one to break; and she couldn't get too attached to him, wasn't attachment an emotion? For all Reno knew, he was completely in the clear with the Doll, and she was just using him - something he wasn't fully against, either.
"Y'haven't given me the chance, yo." He said before he trailed kisses in a crooked line down her neck, across her throat and up the other side.
Larxene’s right hand flew to the one Reno had clamped on her leg. She laughed throatily as he kissed her neck and tilted her head to give him access to her pulse--or at least where it would have been.
"Lucky you," she purred, "The marks you left last time went away. It’s a good thing Marluxia didn’t see them, hmm?"
With her free hand, she threaded her fingers into his hair and began to comb it with her fingernails. He could do with a brush or two every once in a while, she thought to herself. Perhaps she could lend him some hair products.
Nearly laughing to herself, she sighed and allowed her body to relax. After all, didn’t she bring him here to pamper her?
It was a little unnerving, yes, that the Doll didn't have a pulse, but along with anything and anyone else in the mansion, it wasn't much of a surprise. Besides, Reno had seen more than enough people seemingly rise from the dead on many an occasion, Tseng, Rufus, Elena, Strife, Sephiroth so all in all, it took more than that to phase him anymore.
He sighed softly in response to the feel of her fingers through his knotted hair, and mentally cursed at how the pool had definitely messed with it. Pulling away the tiniest bit just to see that she was telling the truth, he then caught her eyes and smiled,
"Oh really, and here I thought you would have wanted to see my head on a pike."
"Oh it would make a lovely decoration to go besides my livers and spleens, I’ll agree," Larxene teased, pushing Reno’s head back down against her neck. "However, you’re just too much fun. I couldn’t bear to break you."
She closed her eyes, blocking out everything but the feel of his hair and her own thoughts. Why, of all people to spring marriage on her, had it not been this man? They suited far better than she and Zell, after all. Then again, a scandalous affair could prove to be far more fun than a willing spouse.
"I'll keep that in mind," Reno laughed against her skin, taking the hand against the cushion and pressing it against the back of her neck as he twisted them to lay on the couch; resting her head on the arm of the furniture. He pushed his open palm up her body, feeling droplets of water soak into his skin as he feathered his fingers over her ribs.
Larxene smiled as he changed their positions, taking note of his superior stance. She clucked her tongue lightly, perhaps only for her to hear, but as he began to touch her her vision became clouded by (non-existent) excitement.
"My, my we sure are eager tonight," she said, glancing down at the fact that she was wearing practically nothing. He was similarly clad, though in a slightly more manly sense. She found herself imagining Reno in a skimpy bikini, but soon banished the image. His wardrobe was fine. Honestly.
If Reno could read thoughts (like they had been able to a while back, apparently) the mood could quite possibly be completely ruined. This was not the case though, and he only grinded his body against hers in a teasing manner; he would say (if ever asked) that he had done it to humour her comment, but well, we all know the truth.
"You're a hard Doll to resist, yo," he said, then finally moved in for a real kiss; sweet and gentle, but filled with hunger. The taste of sweet banana, tart apple, chlorinated water, and of course, Larxene herself, was quite the combination. Reno savoured it carefully.
Larxene had been about to make a snarky remark in response to his confession when she felt his mouth cover hers. Now here was a man who could be anything he wanted. The last time they had gotten together for some one on one games, animalistic desires had taken complete control of the two and left them nearly bruised and battered, yet content. Now however, as he kissed her, she realized that he could be either a caring and careful gentleman or a rogue who had perfected the art of seduction.
She brought her slim hands up to cup his face and kissed him back, running her tongue along his bottom lip, almost asking permission to enter. Her body began to have a mind of its own and she arched her back, legs fidgeting under his own.
Breaking the kiss, she sniggered against his neck. "Be thankful I don’t have a heart," she whispered, "Otherwise I might just find myself in love with you."
As soon as the words spilled from her mouth, Larxene stared over his shoulder, jaw slack. Had she said that? Granted, she didn’t have a heart, and that strong emotion would never ever be possible, but to grant him the honour of suggesting the ’what if’ part… well that was unheard of!
Reno could feel the smile turning up the corner of his mouth as slowly as possible, and swallowed thickly. He let his mouth hang open as he washed his eyes over her shoulder, neck, and almost dry hair, thinking about what exactly to say to that. The Turk would say a lot of things to get into someone's pants, and yes, love was sometimes one of them. He found that women seemed to, well, love, saying it, too. But not this Doll, especially considering she wasn't capable of it.
"Well, maybe we'll just have to go find you one."
Still (not exactly) shocked that the word ’love’ had escaped her lips in a romantic manner, Larxene groped desperately for sanity. Finding none, she sighed heavily and came back to reality.
"For your own benefit? Once you get me that heart, the truth will sting, my dear. Could you cope with breaking the heart you’ve given me?"
"Then I'll get you a new one, and one after that," he muttered in a more serious tone than he normally liked to use. Whatever he meant by saying that he wasn't even sure. Moving both hands behind her back, he gently massaged between her shoulder blades as he quietly placed kisses by her ear.
Whatever breath Larxene had was taken away by his words and actions. Never in her entire life (or death) had she been treated so gently, so…lovingly. She tried to beckon awe and sentiment, but even that which she feigned was unreachable.
"I can’t say I completely understand human emotions," she sighed, giving into his touch entirely. "But are you entirely sure you want to get into this?"
Just what she was implying that he was ‘getting into’ she wasn’t sure, but his sudden change in demeanour sent red flags up everywhere. Not for her safety, but for his.
Reno lifted his head, resting on his elbows and giving her a curious look. He'd struck a nerve (or something), that much was apparent through trained eyes. Reno knew every tiny give-away a person could possibly give-away in any given situation. He -not on purpose- ignored her question, focusing mainly on the first part, somewhat struck in awe.
Even though he was sure he had asked her something along the line before, and had gotten a short, sharp answer, a curious Reno was a dangerous Reno, and a dangerous Reno needed answers, if not demanded them.
"Nothing at all? Y'weren't always like this though, right? I mean, don'tcha remember something? A past life, or, something?"
It’s funny, when things decide to come down upon a person. Sanity decided to grace Larxene’s presence and she narrowed her eyes at the man above her.
"I said I don’t understand. It means I don’t understand." She let out a sharp irritated sigh. "I don’t remember anything before I lost my heart. That’s something you’re going to have to deal with. If you don’t like it, go away or fix it."
His eyes grew, then narrowed, then became soft as his jaw flexed slightly and he hung his head in defeat; bright hair falling off his shoulders and pooling against her body. 'Way to go,' he thought to himself, and rolled his eyes behind closed lids, sighing softly.
Now, Reno, being the man he was, could very likely just 'go away' at one point or another, it was expected of him, almost. And he couldn't quite fix the whole thing either, so really, he was at a loss in the long run. So maybe Turks couldn't do everything after all.
"S-sorry."
To say he’d hit a soft spot was a bit of an understatement. Larxene’s non-existent moods, however, swung like a tire on an oak tree.
"Of course you are," she pouted, mocking him. She grabbed his face again and pulled him towards her. "Now shut up."
Just for a little insurance, to make sure that he didn’t say something stupid in response as he tended to do, she captured his lips with her own, kissing him much like he had done only a minute earlier. If he could entrance, she would ensnare.
Honestly, he hadn't been ready to say anything. Call it survival instinct, but when Reno was told to shut up, he listened; it was the only order he would follow through with one hundred percent of the time.
Of course, being kissed to keep quiet was not a bad alternative, and he smiled into the kiss as he wrapped his arms around her back once more and pressed their bodies closer. Whatever conflict or epic war he had just about been thrown into had been luckily averted, and he wasn't about to try that little gimmick again any time soon.
Larxene broke the kiss with a gasp and arched her back again to close the invisible distance between the two. She raked her nails over the soft skin on his back before lightly pushing him off her.
"The couch is small," she murmured, sliding out from under him and moving away, down towards the pool. One of her hands reached up to untie the string of her bikini top as she pretended to ignore him.
She continued walking, passed the pool and into one of the rooms that wasn’t illuminated by anything. A light switch on the wall distracted her from the knot at her back and she flicked it on. A warm glow was cast over what was clearly a bedroom. She let out a low whistle.
"There is so much fun to be had in here, darling," she called to him, unaware of his location.
Reno wasted no time, none, zip, zero, nada, in scrambling up and following her to the bedroom. Granted he was a few seconds behind catching up to her, but the distance was easily diminished as he ran up, wrapping his arms around her waist and sliding around in front of her with a laugh.
Lifting her from the ground and wrapping her legs around his waist, he smiled and kicked the door closed, "You bet there is!" he said with a grin and a wink before attacking her neck with kisses.
"No need to close the door," she murmured, welcoming his assault. They had their own paradise right here at their fingertips. If anyone else knew how to enter, which Larxene doubted they did, the chances that they would be here at the same time were extremely slim.
The blonde scanned the room as Reno kissed her playfully and smiled. The bed was set in the middle of the room, large, round and incredibly white. A rounded semi-circle of a table hugged the top of it and was spotted with candles, mini rock gardens, bonsai trees and bottles of what Larxene could only assume with some satisfaction, were oils.
She slid her hands down his back, putting a bit of pressure right before skin collided with fabric, then back up to his neck where she began to caress his pulse.
"I hope you have some interesting games planned for this weekend," she told him, squeezing his body with her legs. "I’d hate to be disappointed."
Reno laughed lightly; closing the door was just habit, but even so, if someone did manage to coincidentally find their way into the room, at least they wouldn’t be completely interrupted.
Twisting his back into her hands, he rolled his neck as she massaged it, sighing in relief and feeling the goggles move around his neck as he walked them over to the bed. He rested his knees one after the other on the mattress, feeling it dip under his weight.
“And I’d hate to disappoint you,” he agreed, dropping her on her back after had skilfully and stealthily untied the knot of her bikini top.
Of course, the champagne had been an added bonus, he hadn't exactly been thinking of it, but it served a nice touch… until he heard what she had to say. Married? What?! It wasn't the flower guy was it?! There were so many things that just didn't add up to that statement. But even back in Midgar Reno hadn't let things like wedding rings crush his cool;
