[Incomplete] Robin & Linali
Who: Robin & Linali.
Where Random corridor; window.
When: When Allen left.
Rating: PG.
Summary: Linali emo-es over Allen's disappearance; Robin to the rescue!
the Story:
He was gone. He was really gone, this time. Linali stood, staring out of a window - she wasn't quite sure which one - as the emotions within twirled round and round each other, entangling and knotting. No one seemed to know what had happened to Alle- she heard a sob, and looked at her surroundings to see who it was, only to realize that the alien sound had come from herself. Her knuckles were turning white from gripping the window sill too hard; her lips threatening to bleed as her teeth sank down upon them again.
Once had been enough; losing Alle - tears threatened to spill again - great, now she couldn't even think of his full name without crying. Losing him once had been a terrifying experience. She'd even been prepared to send herself to death with the battle with that AKUMA - she'd been a total wreck at that point in time, causing trouble to Anita, to Miranda, to Rabi. It would do no good to crumble to pieces this time, again.
But she couldn't help it. The mansion was cruel - she didn't know if he had managed to get home safely, or died again or sent into another crashing world or, or... there were too many possibilities. Either way, he had disappeared out of her life again.

"Rinali-san...are you alright?" he asked, placing his normal hand on her shoulder.

"Allen-kun...?"

Rubbing an arm across her eyes to rid them of the tears, Linali blinked and looked up again. Robin... Ah, Robin-kun. The one who looked so much like him. She accepted the handkerchief thankfully, although her sleeve had done the job. It would come in handy later on, she was sure. She winced a little as her fingers left the window sill when she dropped her other arm to her side - her knuckles hurt from the pressure she'd been applying on them earlier on, before Robin came.
She sucked in air, then attempted to speak in complete sentences. "Don't apologize, Robin-kun." It wasn't his fault - it wasn't anyone's fault. She just hoped that he was safe, wherever he was, she just hoped that nothing bad had happened to him.

She breathed in again. "No no, it's all right. Thank you for speaking to me," she began, then trailed off for the lack of anything better to say.

It was a bad attempt, and she knew it, but trying to smile was better than holding back tears. "You're too kind, Robin-kun." Just like Allen-kun, she added silently.

Instead, she tightened her previously limp hand in Robin's hold and looked him in the eye; something she had not been able to do earlier on because Allen and Robin were so similar.
"Taking a walk in the garden would be nice," she said, all the while praying that her voice wouldn't crack despite her fake cheer.
