[ Ritsuka and Jr; Incomplete ]

Who: Jr [livejournal.com profile] red_gunner and Ritsuka [livejournal.com profile] sleeping_memory
Where Library
When: Afternoon
Rating: PG in case Jr swears at some point
Summary: New camera for Ritsuka
the Story:

It would appear that Jr had arrived at the library first, azure eyes scanning what seemed an empty expanse before he took to checking between bookcases, though again he wouldn’t find anyone else present. With the assurance that he didn’t merely fail to spot Ritsuka (and with his height it’d be a wonder if he ever overlooked anyone), the redhead found a chair to seat himself in, looking over his handiwork.

The camera was definitely modeled after the one he’d seen the boy use, much as he thought it resembled a box, modified from bits of his own equipment. Those things hadn’t been terribly useful to him in this place so it was no massive loss, and it had been something of an adventure to make something like this. Though it resembled Ritsuka’s camera and worked under the same basic mechanics in terms of controls, it was likely to be a vast improvement.

He doubted that other camera had a terabyte of memory, and though it seemed minimal to Jr, he’d assumed that anything larger was going to be difficult to even explain. Having a camera that could hold as much data as every computer in the mansion combined times ten was likely not something Ritsuka would have an easy time getting his mind around, and thus he’d limited the amount of memory to something a bit more concrete. A thousand gigabytes was a terabyte.

It could record video and audio data, taking photographs or videos, had a removable memory chip, whatever the U.R.T.V. could think of that the kid might use. All of it worked like the other machine seemed to have, pressing a button to execute a recording command, but there was a lot more capacity, if not better resolution.

The fact that it was damn near impossible to break was a bonus.

Done with his inspection, Jr set it down on the table nearby along with the books, leaning back in his chair as he looked around. This was the second time he’d been in the library. Strange he hadn’t come by more often.

Ritsuka peeked inside the library before completely entering it. He stared amongst the bookshelves remembering his last visit here. He had met Robin then. The girl who posed as a boy. He still didn't quite understand her logic and he never would. The thought of souls leaving and entering the body through a different person made Ritsuka's mind blank. He could never imagine that happening if you tried to bring someone back from the dead.

He wondered, for a moment, if the books he had left were still here. He turned a corner, and found that they had been left in the same pile he had dropped them from before. No one had bothered to reshelve the books. Picking them up, Ritsuka decided he would return them to where they should belong. As he was about to do that he saw Jr huddled over his camera as if inspecting it.

Ritsuka blinked and holding the books, made his way to the table. He placed them down and sat at the sit across from Jr. "Sorry I'm late.." His eyes were fixed on the camera, it looked pretty much the same. He wondered what Jr had done to it and if his pictures were still on there.

"Wow. It's.." Ritsuka took it and examined it. He turned it on and noticed there were all these new features. He could figure out how to use them with sometime and he was fascinated by what Jr how done with his camera.

"How did you do this?" he took a quick, candid picture of Jr just to see what it would look like on the screen. Crisp and clear, a huge improvement from what he had had before.

"Oh..so you put more stuff into it," Weird. Although, Ritsuka liked this new camera, he looked through the menu and there were alot more features than he had on his old one. At this, he smiled. "I can make movies."

He wondered how his friends would have reacted. The ones back home would like it, he thought about how Yuiko would probably talk into it all day. "Thanks.."

Waterproof too. This camera had all sorts of features. The possiblities seemed endless. Ritsuka was going to have to take more pictures of his friends. "Do I print them out the same way?"

Ritsuka blinked. All he knew was that that was alot of memory. "I'll never run out." His old pictures were still in the camera too. And he had a countless number of space left to take pictures and do as he wished. I want to show this to Seimei. Ritsuka's mind randomly wandered.

"Really? Okay. I'll show you how they all turn out." he nodded. Excited he left the library, forgetting to say goodbye, but waving by the time he got to the exit.
