[ Ritsuka and Jr; Incomplete ]
Who: Jr
red_gunner and Ritsuka
sleeping_memory
Where Library
When: Afternoon
Rating: PG in case Jr swears at some point
Summary: New camera for Ritsuka
the Story:
It would appear that Jr had arrived at the library first, azure eyes scanning what seemed an empty expanse before he took to checking between bookcases, though again he wouldn’t find anyone else present. With the assurance that he didn’t merely fail to spot Ritsuka (and with his height it’d be a wonder if he ever overlooked anyone), the redhead found a chair to seat himself in, looking over his handiwork.
The camera was definitely modeled after the one he’d seen the boy use, much as he thought it resembled a box, modified from bits of his own equipment. Those things hadn’t been terribly useful to him in this place so it was no massive loss, and it had been something of an adventure to make something like this. Though it resembled Ritsuka’s camera and worked under the same basic mechanics in terms of controls, it was likely to be a vast improvement.
He doubted that other camera had a terabyte of memory, and though it seemed minimal to Jr, he’d assumed that anything larger was going to be difficult to even explain. Having a camera that could hold as much data as every computer in the mansion combined times ten was likely not something Ritsuka would have an easy time getting his mind around, and thus he’d limited the amount of memory to something a bit more concrete. A thousand gigabytes was a terabyte.
It could record video and audio data, taking photographs or videos, had a removable memory chip, whatever the U.R.T.V. could think of that the kid might use. All of it worked like the other machine seemed to have, pressing a button to execute a recording command, but there was a lot more capacity, if not better resolution.
The fact that it was damn near impossible to break was a bonus.
Done with his inspection, Jr set it down on the table nearby along with the books, leaning back in his chair as he looked around. This was the second time he’d been in the library. Strange he hadn’t come by more often.

He wondered, for a moment, if the books he had left were still here. He turned a corner, and found that they had been left in the same pile he had dropped them from before. No one had bothered to reshelve the books. Picking them up, Ritsuka decided he would return them to where they should belong. As he was about to do that he saw Jr huddled over his camera as if inspecting it.
Ritsuka blinked and holding the books, made his way to the table. He placed them down and sat at the sit across from Jr. "Sorry I'm late.." His eyes were fixed on the camera, it looked pretty much the same. He wondered what Jr had done to it and if his pictures were still on there.

To someone who held friends paramount, such thoughts didn't bode well. However hearing Ritsuka's greeting he looked up and smiled as was typical of him. He'd have to do his best here to figure things out and not mope. He'd done enough of that already thanks to these weird moments of relived memory the mansion seemed to see fit to giving.
Holding up the camera then, he showed it to Ritsuka. It probably didn't look like much but he'd thought a lot about how to explain everything he'd done with it. "No problem. Here's your camera, a bit closer to my world's standards now."

"How did you do this?" he took a quick, candid picture of Jr just to see what it would look like on the screen. Crisp and clear, a huge improvement from what he had had before.

"Had a few things lying around that I wasn't going to be able to use here, so I used those to modify the camera. I've always been pretty good with things like that." Not as adept at programming, of course, but that was more of a Shion or MOMO skill.

He wondered how his friends would have reacted. The ones back home would like it, he thought about how Yuiko would probably talk into it all day. "Thanks.."

"You're welcome. It should be waterproof and pretty hard to break." He remembered shooting that thing Hikaru'd been recording his fight with Kyou on, which had inspired the idea. Likely Ritsuka wouldn't try blackmailing anyone with the thing. Seemed too nice for that. "If you do need something fixed though, I can handle it."

He couldn't... okay, he could read minds to some degree but he wasn't going to.
"If you want, you can go try it out on different things. I can visit with you later or something." Jr was pleased that Ritsuka was happy with it, and given where they were it wasn't terribly inconvenient to meet up and do something at a later time.
