Is this the end of everything? [CLOSED]
Who: Natasha
widows_kiss and Darcy
sorryitasedyou
Where: Stairs heading up to the 7th floor
When: [cough cough major backdate] 5/18
Rating: R to be safe for possible gore-y sort of things like blood and violence...
Summary: Darcy survived the initial encounter with Angel during the event, now it's a matter of staying alive through the aftermath.
The Story:
The events in the tea room had escalated quickly - much faster than she could have ever anticipated. She was grateful that whoever the guy, no vampire, was had regained some sort of self control - it didn't change the fact that she was bleeding at a fairly rapid pace from the bite in her neck. She hadn't needed to be told twice to run, a hand flying to her throat and blood pounding in her ears. She knew she needed to slow her breathing, the adrenaline only making her heart beat faster and the faster that beat, the more blood she lost. She had a first aid kit in her room... She just had to make it there.
She was doing well, making it up to the 5th floor before the blood loss finally started to catch up to her, her hair matted to her skin and shirt ruined. She stops, leaning against a wall, trying to stay calm as she felt the shock starting to set in. Her breath was coming in faster and faster bursts, she lets herself sink down onto the step, feeling lightheaded.
She just needed to rest for a minute... Just one minute to find that last bit of strength to press on and she'd be okay - and if she wasn't? Well, at least they came back from the dead here - or at least that's her understanding. That's the last thing she remembers as she lets her eyes drift shut for just a moment, the pull of darkness too hard to resist.

She's careful, but there's no way of avoiding this stinging, but she's hoping she can at least get it to stop bleeding. And hopes that this won't require anything more serious than a patch while it heals. She'd have to get in contact with Ellen or the clinic if it looked too deep.
"I'd heard there might be some here. Not who, though. Along with the werewolves and angels and demons."

"What the hell else is here? I'd heard about the angels and demons... but werewolves too?"

Not that she was just going to take anyone's word. It was always good to be cautious, but she'd taken it under advisement.

She sighs, closing her eyes for a moment before focusing back on the spot she'd picked. She felt like she could sleep for a week and probably still be tired. She doesn't blame the vamp, considering what this place was capable of, no one was truly safe. She was just hoping it wouldn't get out too much, not wanting there to be any fallout from it. She just wanted to move on and keep it as on the down low as possible... And that meant keeping it from Jane.

She'd made sure to locate that early on, just in case.

"No clinics - I don't need this getting around. Especially not to Jane, she'll flip. The fewer people, the better - I don't want to make a fuss." Her eyes are wide as she looks at Natasha, hoping she'll comply with the request.
"I just need to rest and lay low - I'll be fine. I'm resilient. I-- I get it if you need to tell someone like Steve or Phil or Bucky or something, but I just..." Her words die off with a yawn.

"I won't tell Jane," she finally agrees, because that is Darcy's call, in her opinion. "I may let Steve or Coulson know, just to see if it's something the team should be aware of. If this happens to more people than you, it should be something we're watching for. Someone else might not be as quickly found as you were."

She can't argue with that because it could happen again and could result in death instead of some blood loss and bandages. She knows she's lucky that Natasha found her and that she hadn't experienced her first death in the hall. She also didn't blame the guy, the mansion doing weird things to everyone.
"I don't want it to be a big thing and I promise, I'll tell Jane eventually - once things calm down." Aka probably never because Jane was going to flip.

"A girl can hope for a dull moment." Although she never thought she'd long for the boring days in New Mexico before they'd gone out into the desert to chase a storm.
"I'm... I'm okay, just still a little shaken and tired, but I'll be fine - I don't want to intrude anymore... You've already done so much - seriously --" She stifles a yawn, giving Natasha a serious look. "I'm pretty sure I'd be dead right now if it wasn't for you. I can't ask for more."

"Deal."
