OPEN | the "Lost People" mingle!
Who: Every lonely person with a story to tell! (Check out the OOC details if you haven't yet!) Oh, and Peter Pan (
boyhood), too.
Where: Mingles are out on the mansion grounds.
When: June 4th-6th, night.
Rating: PG-13? We'll see.
Summary: Peter is up to old tricks. Using his influence as the Pied Piper, Peter gathers together everyone in Wonderland he can for a celebration. Are you ready to make some new friends, sad sacks? This doubles as a convenient excuse to see how many vulnerable children there are.
The Story:
So you heard a little tune on the air and you've come to play! The more, the merrier. Night 1 isn't strictly an action event, but if you'd like to have your characters react, or just want to thread something out for that time, go for it. Night 2 and Night 3 are where the action's at. The prompts are general ideas of what's going on!
Anyone who isn't invited is going to find they can't figure out where everyone's disappeared to, exactly, and if they do go to a location, it's going to look like nothing's going on. Strange, huh? For those who are invited, he only rule is this: mingle to your hearts' content! Make new posts, tag into things, do what makes the most fun!
After each night, everyone will be free to disperse before the sun comes up. They'll wake up in their beds feeling refreshed, with the pleasant, surreal sense they've just had a sweet dream.
Except it wasn't really a dream, was it?

[Though now that Eren is on her mind and that he's apparently lost, she's going to worry.]
We should look for him.
no subject
[He was a soldier. He was fine. But then the more he thought about it the more he realized that Eren's safety wasn't the point. He was reckless and something told him that Eren wouldn't think twice about turning into a titan if he thought something bad happened to his captain.
He sighed and grabbed a bottle of bouben.]
Taking this with me then.
no subject
[There was a smirk on her lips. Seeing him take a bottle, she figured she'd take one too choosing some scotch. To hell with this party, she was going to go drink alone elsewhere after they found the kid. She started leading the way.]
no subject
[Eren you aren't even here and you are causing trouble.]
no subject
[Once they were outside she paused.]
I hope he didn't wander too far. Knowing our luck, he probably got distracted by something. Perhaps the beach or something in the forest.
no subject
[That was pretty far from the woods, but Eren had been talking about the ocean. If that kid really somehow thought that Levi disappeared from the woods to the ocean...well then that kid had some problems.
The ocean did sound nice though...]
I haven't seen the beach yet. [or ever really.]

[oops booze is making his tongue slip. The continued drinking isn't helping.]
I meant to say crap.
no subject
I don't see it as a foul job, it helps me learn about this place first hand and I can help others without... dealing with them.
[Wait. Did she say that?]
I mean-
no subject
So only make one person get their hands dirty and save others the grief?
[He can respect that.]
no subject
It's a logic not many would agree to but I assure you that it is very sound.
no subject
I believe it completely. Humanity needs more people willing to do that.
no subject
What do you know about that, exactly?
no subject
[He paused for a moment to drink from the bottle again. He glances around and notices that the woods has long left them. He could hear something....odd in the distance. It almost sounded like muffled crashing of some sort.]
So I know all about that.
no subject
It's a heavy price to pay. Do you like what you do?
no subject
[Does he like watching his people die? No. Does he like knowing that it was his decision that made them die? No.
The job sucks. He's just really good at it. Killing titans just made everything better. To slice their flesh and watch their stupid, ugly faces writher in pain...at least that's what he thought until recently.]
no subject
no subject
[And that's always bad. It use to be so black and white: titans need to be destroyed to save humanity. Yes, he can agree with that. Now titans may actually be humans...well he doesn't like the thought of that.
He takes another drink.]
You like your job?
no subject
[She drinks. Yeah, maybe she shouldn't' be talking about this with alcohol in her system. She'll start ranting and not of happy things.]
The average lifespan of a person serving in the Hellsing organization is about three days and considering it's my orders that send the soldiers to their death, their blood lies in my hands. Do I like my job? Yes. I have to, for the worlds sake.
no subject
[Yep. Looks like they will both be ranting. Thanks alcohol.]
When we get new recruits for the Survey Corps, we give them a cape with our symbol on it. They don't get their jacket until they come back from their first mission.
[Another drink.]
We do that because we don't have the resources to make clothes that just end up inside in a grave.
no subject
[No, like. Really.]
I never sugar coat it for the men. I tell them exactly what they're getting themselves into and I do my best to make whatever life they have left serving under me pleasant. Uniforms are the least of my worries. Good food, good housing, there's no point sending them off to their deaths at least without an ounce of happiness left inside of them. You can never let them think their deaths are in vain.
no subject
[A soldier's death should never be in vain. If he could he would tell that to every soldier that has died on every mission. Just to let them know they did something, because of them humanity will find a way to go on. And because of them Levi has more power under his wings to fight in their place.
And another drink. This bottle is feeling a lot lighter now. All this talk about how fucked up his world was and how...well her life didn't sound any better. At least she knew how to treat her soldiers. Their king could use some lessons from her.
He raised his arm to drink once more but he paused as did his next step. He glanced down and saw that the grass had turned to sand. That crashing sound he heard was so loud now and when he looked up he could see it's source. It was water. Miles and miles of water. It wasn't completely calm like a river or a lake would be. The surface was rough, rolling, yet the moon still could make a decent reflection on it's moving surface. His arm went back to his side as he stared, his jaw ajar.]

Don't just stare at it, get closer.

Levi had only been a few paces ahead of him when they'd gotten separated in the woods. What kind of soldier lost track of their (delusional, imaginary-music-hearing) commanding officer at such a short distance? After wondering around in the woods for a while, yelling the Captain's name at the top of his lungs, the young soldier had finally realized that Levi wasn't the only one who was lost. Making it out of those woods and onto the beach had been an unexpected turn of luck.
Eren had seen the ocean earlier, but the view at night was something else entirely. It was a shame he was too worried to enjoy it right now.
Scanning the beach, his eyes fell on two figures off in the distance. Ah... they were probably lovers who came out her to make out or something. Gross. His first instinct told him to avoid them, but... there was always the possibility that they'd seen the Captain. He'd have to go ask.
As he made his way over to them, he called out:]
Uhm! Excuse me! Sorry to bother you on your date, but have either of you seen............
[Oh.]
no subject
Until the moment was ruined.]
What?
[Eren, you little shit-- but his subordinates words were enough for him to snap out of the almost trance like state that the booze and the ocean had put him in. He shook free of Integra's arm to loom over the young boy, giving him a dark look. What the hell, Eren?]
