[ annabeth has enough to worry about with all her various school activities to worry about tutoring clarisse, so it's fallen on adam's shoulders even though she never even asked for it. it's a begrudging relationship, because on one hand, yes, she needs a tutor, but on the other, her pride continues to scream that she doesn't, despite the fact that her grades are in the toilet because she doesn't do her homework. she's really only concerned about them because she wants to keep playing baseball, and she can't do that if she's failing.
