( open ) we're only young and naive still
Who: Becky Rosen, Clarisse La Rue + YOU!
Where: Everywhere!
When: The duration of the event, July 12-16
Rating: PG13 for Clarisse's mouth. Some things never change.
Summary: Awkward teenage nerd or foul-mouthed teenage punk, take your pick.
The Story:
[ CLARISSE LA RUE is a fifteen year old punk from class 1-3. She's a member of the Blood Oranges, the infamous school gang, and she spends most of her time on the roof skipping class. Except history, she actually kind of likes history. Because, you know, they get to talk about war in history and war is cool. She's also in the kendo club (because Annabeth forced her to join a club and swords are pretty cool????), but she rarely attends. Her class is in charge of the onigiri booth, which she is "participating" in (she'll show up but then not actually do anything). Feel free to catch her anywhere, be it on the roof, after class, at her booth (SOMEONE SAVE HER), or anywhere else! It'd beawful great if she could beat up some nerd in the hallway.
BECKY ROSEN is a socially awkward second year (class 2-2) who spends most of her time alone because she has no friends. During class she tends to write fanfiction, read light novels, or doodle in her notebook about how much she loves Sam Winchester, thatmoose stud in third year. She can usually be found in the library (definitely not reading or writing erotic fanfiction) or helping with the preparations for the fortune telling booth. If there's an anime club, she's probably president of it, let's be honest, though it's probably just an excuse for her to sit around and play BL visual novels without her mom walking in on her. ]

For Becky
That said, it's hard not to say something when Becky finishes off a notebook with another page full of BECKY WINCHESTERS and the like.]
Doesn't your wrist get tired?
no subject
Um. Not really? [ she shrinks a little, her cheeks going pink when she thinks about the contents of her journal. ] How much... did you see?
no subject
[Which isn't terribly informative as answers go, but she doesn't really care.]
Have you been hiding in here all day? Would've thought you'd be more into the festival stuff than me.
no subject
she shrugs in response. ]
I checked out some of the stuff... But me and festivals don't really get along. They're just... overwhelming. And no fun to go to alone.
no subject
Hm. So it'd be less overwhelming with a friend? Or is that not what you mean?
[She isn't even sure if Becky considers her a friend. Or if she considers Becky a friend. At best they just know each other as equally "uncool".]
no subject
I don't know... maybe? I've never had the chance to go with anyone before. It's always been just me... [ she raises her eyebrows expectantly. ] Why?
no subject
[Y'know. Just. Maybe. If it's cool with her.]
no subject
Oh. Well. Sure? [ she doesn't mean to sound... unsure but. how do friends???? ]
no subject
[HOW DO FRIENDS???]
no subject
Oh! No! Um. We should go. I'm not... doing anything else. And it might be fun, right?
no subject
She's actually pretty glad she said yes.]Okay. Is there anything you wanted to go to? [An educated guess:] Speed dating maybe?
no subject
Um... What makes you say that?
[ besides the fact that she's painfully single. ]
no subject
Um. You seem. Like the romantic type?
[M-MAYBE?]
no subject
Oh. Well, yeah... I guess I am. [ she's hopelessly romantic. ] I just thought you meant... because of the notebook...
[ the chances of sam even being at the speed dating thing are slim to none, anyway. ]
no subject
Maybe you'll get lucky.
Come to me, Clarisse
He waves a little as he approaches and puts his hands in his pockets as he comes within speaking distance.]
Hey.
slams into you
she turns her head toward souji's voice with an eyebrow slightly raised. ]
Hey, bowlhead. If you came up here for a smoke, you're out of luck.
no subject
I didn't. We ran out of stuff to do in our classroom.
no subject
You actually... ran out of stuff to do? [ sounds to her like a case of overachievers. ] I can give you something to do if you're so bored.
no subject
[Souji shrugs, looking at her curiously.]
Besides, you look more bored than me.
Miss Rude | July 12th?
From the outside, Adam doesn't know where being a little bit of everything and doing a little bit of everything leaves him--semi-popular or technically super unpopular without a clique to belong to--but either way, it doesn't affect his life too much, and so doesn't bother him. Not even Clarisse's "rock 'em, sock 'em" approach to everything in school bothers him, and maybe that's why he's the one who seems to end up moming her about her GPA the way his mom does to him.]
Everything I edited is in red. All you have to do is change your mistakes and hand it off to the teacher. Think you can handle that by Tuesday?
[When he sees her next, guess who's quick to pull Clarisse's history assignment out of his bag and wave it tauntingly at her. They both know she's probably not going to do a thing to help with the festival's preparation, so she can't cry crocodile tears and say she's got too much to handle.
Bet she'd thought he had too much to handle to give her homework a good look before it was too late. Well, joke's on her, he did.]

she sits back in her chair and groans dramatically, rolling her eyes along with her neck until she's staring at adam with a look that says "do i haaaaave to?" even the smallest amount of effort when it comes to school is too much. but it sort of worked out in a way, considering she gets to spend time with adam, even if it is only school-related. she'd never admit she thought he was cute, but, you know, there are a lot of things she refuses to admit. ]
I guess. How are you so good at this, anyway? It's annoying. [ but she also kinda likes that about him. he's naturally smart, the way she's naturally strong. sometimes she wishes she were smarter, but it's just not in the cards. ]
no subject
It's called working. Everyone can do it, even you. You don't even need to be a genius to do it.
[He sets the paper down on the desk and pushes it toward her. Passing the torch to you, Clarisse. Go for gold.]
