[open] out for all that i can get
Who: Sam Wilson and you!
Where: All around. Seriously he's been cooped up.
When: 7/29
Rating: PG-13. Will adjust if necessary.
Summary: Sam is tooling around on his own now that his leg is healed. Expect a cane and sass.
The Story:
His recovery time was slow, but he didn't mind it so much. He played video games with Clint, watched movies with Steve and Natasha and talked to anyone who came close enough. It wasn't horrible. The amount of people stuffed into this house was actually a benefit to a guy stuck in a walking cast. He could walk now though. With the help of a cane, but he could walk. He healed up with ease. He confined himself to his room when he could just to stay out of the way in case things got too crazy. No one needed to worry about the guy who could barely walk on his own. He didn't want to become a liability to them.
If you find Sam he's most likely wandering around the grounds. Inside and outside. He's just trying to get used to walking fully on his leg again. He makes a visit to the kitchen for food and then goes for a jog outside. He's trying to get full mobility back and that's gonna take some work, but he'll push himself if he has to.

Sam smiles and nods at the targets up ahead. ] Having fun?

[ So much sarcasm. Not that Sam's a slouch. He does remember the exercises he did when he was in the military though. Was never a very fun time. He did enjoy not having to constantly worry about staying in shape. Now it's just kind of second nature for Sam. He can't seem to shake it. ]
Gonna see if Steve can get Stark to fix my wings. Wanna get back up in the air. Ya know--for my exercising.

....Those wings are amazing. I thought they'd rounded them up years ago.

[ He smiles fondly though at the memory of them liberating them from that military base. He never realized how much he missed just being up in the air until they gave them back to Sam and told him to suit up. ]
We got them back before we kicked things into high gear back home. If I was gonna be any help in taking on HYDRA I was gonna have to get airborne very quickly.

We need all the help we can get.

I'm actually curious about how high up I can get here. How far does their little Wonderland bubble extend.

How did land with all that weight?
no subject
[ Could have been a lot worse. He was lucky he didn't break his neck during his landing. ]
With or without the parachute? [ He smiles. ] Landing is easy when my wings are intact. Without--I almost always gotta deploy my chute to keep from breaking everything.

He doesn't drop the bow. In fact he holds it a bit tighter.]
...Is it really amazing? I mean honestly?

[ A lot of people wonder about flying without the help of a plane. A lot of pilots yearn to know what it's like. Sam was the lucky one. He's not even sure how to explain it to a civilian. ]
Mind blowing, man. Nothing else like it.

[Just for that he draws two arrows, puts them to the bowstring and fires off at the target. Both hit square - one atop the other. ]
It sounds like fun at least.
More fun then being stuck here.

[ Despite the fact that he knew he couldn't just get around using the wings. There was still a part of him that wanted to be up in the air all the time. It was one of the few times where he felt like himself. Where he could fee close to Riley. ]
I dunno. You seem to do pretty good here. [ He nods to the target. ] Can't hate the ground too much.
no subject
You think so?
[If he sounds a little like he's desperately tinged for approval then chances are it's probably true. He's been feeling so out of sorts lately, on uneven footing or so it feels with this place. It's getting to him.]

[ He's been around some good marksmen. This is something else though. This is a sort of natural instinct that not a lot of guys are born with. Not a lot of guys can learn it either. ]
You definitely got something special, man.
no subject
...I'll teach you.
no subject
[ He's used to firearms and things like that. Definitely not used to using something like that. ]
You sure?

That's what I do. [Clint's voice is quiet] That's what my training consists of. Unless you also might want to learn how to ride a horse?
