Summary: Sam is tooling around on his own now that his leg is healed. Expect a cane and sass.
The Story:

His recovery time was slow, but he didn't mind it so much. He played video games with Clint, watched movies with Steve and Natasha and talked to anyone who came close enough. It wasn't horrible. The amount of people stuffed into this house was actually a benefit to a guy stuck in a walking cast. He could walk now though. With the help of a cane, but he could walk. He healed up with ease. He confined himself to his room when he could just to stay out of the way in case things got too crazy. No one needed to worry about the guy who could barely walk on his own. He didn't want to become a liability to them.

If you find Sam he's most likely wandering around the grounds. Inside and outside. He's just trying to get used to walking fully on his leg again. He makes a visit to the kitchen for food and then goes for a jog outside. He's trying to get full mobility back and that's gonna take some work, but he'll push himself if he has to.

[Henry sort of hopes that Cora never, ever comes back. As far as he knows she's dead but then this place could bring back dead people. But really, he doesn't want her here, and that's saying something if he can handle Peter Pan being in the same place he is.]

My family does, but my mom, Regina, probably knows the most. Of of my grandpas,too. But I don't know if he's still here. I think he was.

[He's thoughtful then, eating a couple of chips.]

Someone told me that there are people in the mirrors who watch us.

Does that mean you got another grandpa here?

[ Must be something having your whole family here. He can't imagine that. He's interested in this kid's family tree though. It seems like he's got one that can put Jerry Springer to shame. He doesn't want to pry too much though if the kid doesn't want to talk about it. ]

Yeah. I heard that too. Heard they can't get through though. [ He sips his soda. ] Wouldn't worry too much about them though. If you got a problem though just give me a shout and I'll come check it out for you.

One grandpa here, and one grandma, but they're not married to each other. And...I think maybe he left because I haven't seen him. People just told me he was here.

[Henry's sandwich is just a bite or two away from being finished now, and he thinks about what Sam said, grinning a little at the offer.]

Thanks. I wanna explore, maybe make a map or something and keep track of people I meet, and keep it somewhere safe. That way, if I leave again, I'll know who I was friends with, and where it's safe to go.

Wow. You got yourself a pretty big family tree. I think you might be the luckiest one in this joint. Maybe your other grandpa will come back. I hear people do that with this place. Come and go.

[ He's starting to wonder if he'll start to come and go like the other people he's heard about. Seems like it could be likely given how it's happened to so many others. ]

That's real smart. Map could actually come in handy for newbies as well. Help them get a feel for this place.

There are a couple of other people here that are technically related to me. But they tried to kill me back home, and I don't think anything's really...changed.

[He's cleaning up his mess now, and thinking out loud.]

It's kind of weird that there's nothing to tell people where they are when they get here. I mean...I guess I got kind of lucky because my moms found me. But there should be something. Like maybe...a way to get an automatic first text message on our phones when we first show up.

Tried to kill you? You're just a kid. What would their beef be with you?

[ People trying to kill kids are here? Sam is a million times more on high alert. The fact that he's wandering alone though now makes Sam worried for him as well. He'll have to keep his eye on Henry. Protecting him is gonna be pretty important. ]

They got a pamphlet I know that. I think it's outdated. [ He nods at the text idea. ] It couldn't hurt. Put some signs up? I think people show up in different places so we'd probably need a lot of them.

My family is kinda complicated. A lot of stuff about magic and since my moms both have it, using me to get what they want from them.

Two of them are here. People who tried to hurt me, I mean.

[ He seriously has no problem with telling people who could keep him safe along with his moms that Zelena and Pan were here. He's maybe less wary of Zelena, though he hasn't talked ot her yet. ]

I never got a pamphlet...just suddenly had a phone that wasn't mine from home. Maybe there could just be like...informational kiosks. Like around the zoo and stuff.
