First Meeting [ Jr and MOMO ; Incomplete ]
Who: Jr
red_gunner & MOMO
cross_hilbert
Where Outside the Mansion Main Entrance
When: Late Afternoon
Rating: G (I think ^^)
Summary: Jr shows MOMO around the place
the Story:
It was late in the afternoon when MOMO arrived at the meeting place that both Jr and herself had agreed on close to an hour ago. The mansion was huge. Almost as huge as the Durandel. No, maybe even bigger. The pink-haired Realian quickly corrected herself as soon as the thought had crossed her mind. Maybe Jr would know better since the Durandel was his to begin with afterall.
MOMO had left her room almost immediately after logging off the terminal that she had been using to converse with Jr, Ritsuka and Matt, not wanting to be late and possibly keep the azure-eyed youth waiting.
MOMO had thought that she was alone in this place. Deserted. Isolated from the people she knew and cared about. One could only imagine how she was feeling right now upon learning that she was truly not alone. It made her feel much better even though she still had no idea what this place was nor why only both Jr and herself were here.
Clasping the bullet that was attached securely to the bracelet that she always wore on her left wrist, amber orbs began to scan her immediate vicinity for anyone else other than herself. Was Rubedo here yet?

After having arranged to meet with MOMO, Jr had gone about the hasty task of finding the data he'd gathered on the mansion and surroinding areas thus far, having mapped out the vast majority with what equipment he still had onhand. Likely this would be of use to MOMO, and she was by far better at analyzing data.
Any resources he had, he was more than glad to share with her as well. After all, the Realian was an ally and a friend. Further, Sakura's little sister. The memory came to him just as he'd started down the hall toward the main entrance. His promise...
He was going to be sure that nothing happened to MOMO in this place. He'd given his word and more than that, she was a kind person. Protecting her was a small exchange for being around someone like that.
Picking up his strides again he hurried down the hall and toward the double-doors of the entrance, hoping he hadn't made MOMO wait too long. Finding the Realian there he smiled apologetically, hand absently brushing against the back of his neck. "Guess I'm a bit late."

The pink-haired Realian turned her head almost immediately to the source of the voice. She knew very well who it belonged to and true enough, found an all too familiar redhead, albeit dressed differently, hurrying towards her. Still, the dress sense and customary gesture coupled with the sheepish apologetic grin on Jr's face was unmistakeable, MOMO couldn't help but point out to herself.
Tilting her head to the side a little, MOMO smiled warmly at Jr as she looked him over. Other than being decked out somewhat differently, the young male seemed to be fine which was a good thing all in all.
"Oh no. You're right on time. I had a bit of a head start, remember?" The female Realian reminded good-naturedly.

Letting his hand drop to his side again he couldn't help but notice the Realian's apparel. She'd worn that, what, a year ago..? Unless his memory was suddenly bad she was back to wearing something that she'd been in a long time past. Last time he'd seen MOMO she was in red.
But then those closets in their rooms seemed to produce a fair variety of things. Might've supplied her with stuff she used to wear. Jr had found uniforms from the Institute before, but that was when Albedo was there. And that was what he wore.
"Yeah, I remember." The URTV let out after a few moments, deciding to dismiss the speculation on the outfit. "Well, where to first? There's a pool and a dance hall and a bar--but you wouldn't wanna go there I bet--and a garden and..."
A pause.
"Anywhere you wanted to see first or should we just play that by ear?"

Was something wrong? The Realian thought of posing the question to him, concerned about what could be troubling her friends as always. Artificial personality or not, this was something that had always seemed to come naturally to her ever since her birth. Whether this was something that was merely programmed within her or something that came from her supposed heart, was certainly something to be pursued on another day though.
For now, MOMO chose to withhold the question she had at the back of her mind. Some things were better left unsaid till the appropriate moment. That was something that she had learnt from the friends she had journeyed with in the not too faraway past.
"Hmm..." There was a thoughtful expression on the young female's heart-shaped face as she pondered over Jr's question. "How about... you show me your favourite place for starters?"

Indicating the direction he opened the door for MOMO to pass before entering the mansion again himself, leading the way down various corridors toward the place he frequented most. Considering the fact that there was no shooting range to be seen thus far, the library faced no competition for his attention, save his efforts to further understand the world that he'd ended up in.
It didn't take long to get there and again Jr opened the door for his friend before he'd walk in himself, casting a glance around the library to see if anyone else was present. That Zexion guy used to be there all the time but he hadn't seen him in ages. Strange.
"I've spent a lotta time in here." Jr explained, though likely a given considering MOMO's knowledge of him. "I've never seen so many paper books in one place..."

Although the mansion was huge, there were slight variations in the layout of each hallway that allowed one to tell them apart from one another. Nevertheless, it was probably going to take her quite awhile to learn what was behind each door eventually.
That didn't faze MOMO though. If she put her mind to it, anything was possible. Afterall, that was one of the many things that Daddy had taught her when she was still asleep on Proto Merkabah.
Stepping through the door that Jr had opened for her, amber orbs widened slightly at the sight of countless rows of shelves containing books on an assortment of subjects. A library. This was probably the first time she had ever been to one but still, the prospect of the amount of information that one could potentially learn in this place awed the Realian.
"Neither have I. Everything was contained in a main database on the UMN for everyone to access anytime anywhere in our world."

After a few moments of looking around (he'd never tire of it), he remembered what he had inhand, holding the disks up for MOMO to see. "I've been scouting around outside...so everything I could get to out there is mapped."
The disks would probably be of more use to MOMO, considering what an Observational Realian could do, and aside that he wanted her to know anything he did about the place. They were a team. They had been for over a year now.
[ooc: No worries. I'm a bit slow myself. And geez that's a lotta working. D: ]

The pink-haired Realian blinked a few times in surprise at the disks that Jr was offering her. Now that was something that she hadn't been expecting. It was not so much as the act in itself though. Rubedo was no stranger to her and she had always known him as one who was especially thoughtful of his friends and would never hesitate to share what he possessed with them.
MOMO just wasn't expecting to receive something like this during her first meeting with the red-haired URTV in this world. Nevertheless, that didn't stop MOMO from accepting the discs with a smile. Regardless of the amount of information that was waiting to be discovered in this library, she highly doubted that a comprehensive map of the entire mansion was amongst them.
"Great! These would be a big help. I'll get right down to analyzing the data later so that I can return these to you as soon as possible. Thanks Jr!"

It was information that they both should know and that was all. Saved her some efforts in terms of exploring the place and would help her to avoid the trouble spots he'd come across while exploring the mansion and the surrounding terrain. There was also the fact that the forest seemed to have a draining effect on people that wandered too far into them.
"So don't worry about being quick or anything. I just wanted to let you know what all I knew. There's some pretty weird stuff around here." The last thing he wanted was for MOMO to get hurt, or find out anything the hard way. Whatever he learned he wanted to keep her up to date with.
[ooc: Work is villainous! Happy New Year to you as well <3 ]

MOMO responded in a chipper sort of tone as soon as she had ensured that the discs were tucked away safely in her own pocket. It was really good thinking on Jr's part to bring the discs with him since, like he had already clearly stated, he was en route to meeting her.
That was how he had always been. Ever the resourceful one in their team, albeit with a dash of spunk that was uniquely his. MOMO admired him greatly for that in fact. She wished that there would come a day when she could carry herself with that similar air of confidence. Maybe she wouldn't have to rely on the people around her so much when that day comes.
"W... what kind of weird stuff though?" The Realian asked rather hesitantly, a worried expression beginning to cross her face at the same instant.

After collecting his thoughts better he started with what seemed too long a list for a world without gnosis and without organizations like U-TIC. "The forest apparently causes people to pass out if they wander too far or are in it for too long. I...didn't get affected like the others, maybe because I'm a U.R.T.V. Then... the sea apparently drowns anyone who goes near, and if you wander too far from the mansion you end up where you started. It always takes you back to your room..."
He looked down, unsure about the last part. It didn't make sense. "Some of the people here... they're dead. Or supposed to be. And if someone dies, they remain here as though it didn't happen. I'm... not sure why. And then, there's freaky bastards like the guy that planted those man-eating flowers. Some of the people here can't be trusted."
no subject
Right. She would make sure she avoided the forest and sea as far as possible then.
"Dead people... could that mean that Daddy could possibly be here too?"
no subject
"Yeah... he could be here. Anyone could... it seems." Albedo had been. Twelve year old Albedo, who clung to him and fussed over any bruise he got. That had been a contrast, certainly.
After a moment he recognized that he sounded less than cheerful, he shrugging off the thoughts and returning his attention to the present. "We'll have to see who all shows up, I guess."
no subject
As much as she herself still harboured the hope of seeing Professor Mizrahi some day, there were moments like this when she seemed to have conveniently forgotten that most people only knew him as the mad man who almost brought about the downfall of the entire world. She didn't need to utilise complex thought processes to know that people wouldn't want to see him in person anytime soon. Any sane person who was capable of thinking logically could see that.
Tossing a cursory gaze over at her immediate surroundings, MOMO decided that it was probably for the best if they changed the conversation focus to something else instead. Better now than later when the damage was potentially beyond salvation.
"Yeah... so where do we head to next?" The pink-haired Realian tried eventually.
