Most humans were boring to Bela until they became her playthings. Other demons preferred to let humans tear each other to pieces but that wasn't as satisfying to Bela. She wanted all of the fun for herself.

"I wouldn't consider that boring. Maybe safer than some hobbies but not dull." Of course she had selfish motivations for wanting to lift Darcy's spirits and then break them all over again but all in good time.
