Who // Elphie and Murderer Lucien
Where // uh... Some hidden room
When // After this
Rating // Dunno. PG13 to be safe.
Summary // Elphaba feels the tension. She needs to make amends, needs to find out why, and most of all, needs to find Lucien.

After she signs off the computer, she hurries to the secret room she told Lucien to meet her in. Her heart was racing. How could a clear and simply stated contract have gotten things so out of hand? She couldn' believe that this was happening. Its like her past is coming to haunt her. She's living in hiding again. Only now, Fiyero isn't going to be killed. She will be.

She opened the door and closed it quickly. She was certain no one had seen her. She could feel herself tremble in her cloak and gown. She was cursing herself as she heard a knock on the door.

Lucien signed off of his terminal, still rather uncertain with the technology provided as he exited his room and locked the door rather securely. If there was one thing an assassin could do, it was set a good lock. Afterall, one had to know how to keep a lock locked in order to pick it with ease.

Smirking, he made his way to the room Elphaba had suggested, a dash of midnight passing through the rooms, before he slid into the door quickly, shutting it securely behind him.

He looked at the other cloaked figure from beneath his shroud, and smirked, silently, of course.

Lucien blinked, and eyed the woman with caution. Emotions...they were running high tonight. He would have to be cautious, certainly. He could not afford to be injured by this woman, after the display of willpower shown by Xemnas. What a wonderful little target.

"My dear," he said simply, giving a bow.

No, he would not offer relationship advice. Afterall, he had practically been only wed to Sithis, the dread father. Relationships were not his thing.

"On my way, of course," he said simply, brushing some dust off of the rough fabric of his cloak.

"Where else would I be?" he questioned simply.

"I made myself scarce," he mentioned simply, shaking his head. "I was experimenting with the...odd assortment of flora in the garden...some of it was quite like Harrada root...very difficult to find where I'm from," he explained, smirking.

Shaking his head, he gave her a very frank look. "Why? Is that difficult? For starters, you asked me to. I always fulfill my contracts, whether the buyer backs out or not," he said simply.

He shook his head. "And I did...or I thought I did. Either there are necromancers here, or I did not do it properly," he said simply. "If he had stayed dead...or even died...there would be no threat. The "organization" would have been too devastated about their leader to worry about you," he explained simply.

Blasé? Of course he was! He was so used to offing people without blinking an eye, that this was child's play! He couldn't understand why she was so worked up about the whole situation, however.

He nodded. "Obviously," he said simply. "It was...an attempt at a joke," he explained simply, shaking his head.

This would make things...interesting...to say the least...he could kill and kill and kill...and yet it would not make a difference. His own private slaughterhouse...per se.

"Retaliation?" Lucien lifted an eyebrow. He knew all about retaliation. Many often attempted to retaliate against the brotherhood...with little success. "Retaliation does not scare me," he said with finality.

He blinked. "Do you have any reason to believe that they know about our contract?" he questioned simply.

He blinked. "You...told someone?" he questioned. His normally complacent facial expression quickly turned sour, and he felt the urge to hurt something.

Alot.

Lucien wrinkled his nose at the scent of the vomit, before he quickly began pacing.

"Regardless of saying who it was with or not, you still told someone. I'm certain that some can put two and two together," he said bluntly, frowning at her.

"Now I don't normally play bodyguard, but I am willing to reconsider," he said simply.

Lucien smirked. "Ah, but I have my ways of becoming invisible," he said simply, giving her a confident eye.

Afterall, he did employ a rather...potent chameleon spell.

Lucien shrugged innocently. "Why, me?" he questioned simply. "Of course I do. I haven't had this much excitement since they thought I was the traitor!" he exclaimed, smirking over to her.

"Accept what, death?" he questioned, shaking his head. "No, that is totally unacceptable," he said with a smirk.

Lucien blinked slowly. Now she was starting to make assumptions about his intentions. "That is not what I wanted," he said simply. "If your life were in my hands, it would be in the embrace of Sithis," he stated coldly, glaring at her with an air of anger. "I stirred it up because I saw the perfect opportunity to get the job done. That's what I do, that's how I work," he growled.

Then he sneered. "Was it not you who said that people could obviously not die in this place...after Xemnas did not perish?" he questioned with simple, yet quite solid logic.

[identity profile] speakerofsithis.livejournal.com 2006-12-19 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Lucien smiled, and nodded sagely. "It is perfectly alright, my dear. When the work of Sithis is involved, it is not uncommon to have high-running emotions," he explained, before pacing a bit again...back and forth, patting his dagger beneath his cloak to a rhythm only he could hear.

"Normally I charge gold...but obviously that is defunct here...can you brew potions?" he aked.

[identity profile] speakerofsithis.livejournal.com 2006-12-20 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
Lucien smiled to Elphaba innocently. "I may just need some potions...especially if I'm preoccupied with other things. If I give you the recipies, will you be able to brew them?" he asked frankly.

[identity profile] speakerofsithis.livejournal.com 2006-12-20 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
Lucien nodded. "That would be acceptable payment, then," he said with a nod.

He knew the woman was weary of him...with good reason...he was a murderer. An assassin. A trained killer for hire.

[identity profile] speakerofsithis.livejournal.com 2006-12-20 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
Lucien bowed to her with a flourish, and smirked. "Well then, I will deliver those recipies to you," he said simply.

Bloodlust, Lucien? No, never! He merely had things he needed to do, a profession that he was getting lax in.

[identity profile] speakerofsithis.livejournal.com 2006-12-20 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
"Just leave word," he mentioned, letting his voice droop into menacing levels. "I will...be around," he purred with a smirk.

[identity profile] speakerofsithis.livejournal.com 2006-12-20 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
Lucien smirked as she left, and quickly casted a Chameleon spell, before leaving after the woman.

Afterall, it would be best to not be seen together.
