Who // Elphie and Murderer Lucien
Where // uh... Some hidden room
When // After this
Rating // Dunno. PG13 to be safe.
Summary // Elphaba feels the tension. She needs to make amends, needs to find out why, and most of all, needs to find Lucien.
After she signs off the computer, she hurries to the secret room she told Lucien to meet her in. Her heart was racing. How could a clear and simply stated contract have gotten things so out of hand? She couldn' believe that this was happening. Its like her past is coming to haunt her. She's living in hiding again. Only now, Fiyero isn't going to be killed. She will be.
She opened the door and closed it quickly. She was certain no one had seen her. She could feel herself tremble in her cloak and gown. She was cursing herself as she heard a knock on the door.

Smirking, he made his way to the room Elphaba had suggested, a dash of midnight passing through the rooms, before he slid into the door quickly, shutting it securely behind him.
He looked at the other cloaked figure from beneath his shroud, and smirked, silently, of course.

She was oblivious when Lucien had entered the room. She stared out the room.
"All of this for what? What? To be able to love a man who cannot fucking love back!" she growled, kicking a chair. Her frustrations getting the best of her.

"My dear," he said simply, giving a bow.
No, he would not offer relationship advice. Afterall, he had practically been only wed to Sithis, the dread father. Relationships were not his thing.

Her mind reeled with the events thats transpired in a matter of two days.
"Where have you been?" she asked, as calmly as possible. She needed to be calm and clear. Obviously, her temper and paranoia flared quite easily. She needed to be level headed.
no subject
"Where else would I be?" he questioned simply.
no subject
This wasn't going to be easy. Not at all.
"Why'd you poision him?" she said, keeping the strain from her voice.
no subject
Shaking his head, he gave her a very frank look. "Why? Is that difficult? For starters, you asked me to. I always fulfill my contracts, whether the buyer backs out or not," he said simply.

She blinked at him. He seemed to be so blase' about the whole ordeal.
no subject
Blasé? Of course he was! He was so used to offing people without blinking an eye, that this was child's play! He couldn't understand why she was so worked up about the whole situation, however.

She sighed. If only she had known this before she contracted with him.
"The organization would... no. Is devisated about the attack on him. They seek retaliation." she said mildly.
no subject
This would make things...interesting...to say the least...he could kill and kill and kill...and yet it would not make a difference. His own private slaughterhouse...per se.
"Retaliation?" Lucien lifted an eyebrow. He knew all about retaliation. Many often attempted to retaliate against the brotherhood...with little success. "Retaliation does not scare me," he said with finality.

"So stupid... so stupid..." she grumbled, walking over to the window.
no subject
Alot.

She shook her head in defeat. "I thought you were gone. I never said whom... Augh...." she bent over.
Her stomach was queasy. Moments later, she vomitted on the floor. She could see her death coming. She wouldn't have to fight, because she knew it wouldn't do anything.
no subject
"Regardless of saying who it was with or not, you still told someone. I'm certain that some can put two and two together," he said bluntly, frowning at her.
"Now I don't normally play bodyguard, but I am willing to reconsider," he said simply.
no subject
"I... I'm sorry." she looked down, closing her eyes. She was sorry for the apparent betrayal, for the vomit, for the whole fiasco.
She did wonder what the repayment would be, but she didn't voice her ponderings. Instead, she took off her cloak and covered her bile with it.

Afterall, he did employ a rather...potent chameleon spell.
no subject
"I should just accept it." she opened her eyes, a cold stare looking past Lucien.
no subject
"Accept what, death?" he questioned, shaking his head. "No, that is totally unacceptable," he said with a smirk.
no subject
She could feel her temper flairing. She shook her head, forcing herself not to lash out. "And why is it not acceptable Lucien? They want me dead, apparently have for soem time. Why not give them what they want. Maybe I can find some peace and actually die. "
no subject
Then he sneered. "Was it not you who said that people could obviously not die in this place...after Xemnas did not perish?" he questioned with simple, yet quite solid logic.
no subject
"What am I to do?" she said to herself, kneeling onto the floor. Such anguish. At this moment she wished she'd never laid eyes on Luxord. Those piercing eyes...
"What is the repayment you require?" she said finally, after some silence.
no subject
"Normally I charge gold...but obviously that is defunct here...can you brew potions?" he aked.
no subject
The option of simply dying was sounding better and better. She didn't like any of this. Remorse was not one of her more favorite emotions. Nonetheless, it seemed to overcome her quite frequently.
"What... What are you planning?
no subject
no subject
"I suppose I can." She straightened. She wondered if she should continue ties with him. She knows if she doesn't she may surely die. All though, if she does, she still may die. Once she comes back, either way...
...He'll never talk to her again

He knew the woman was weary of him...with good reason...he was a murderer. An assassin. A trained killer for hire.
no subject
She opened her mouth as if to say something, but closed it. She wondered if this meeting was over. The vomit stench was a bit overwhelming.
no subject
Bloodlust, Lucien? No, never! He merely had things he needed to do, a profession that he was getting lax in.

Elphaba opened the door, and as dignified as a petrified woman could be, she hurried to the safety of her room.

Afterall, it would be best to not be seen together.
