[Thread] Clark Kent and Inara Serra
Who: Clark Kent and Inara Serra
Where Clark's Room!
When: After their Conversation
Rating: Uh, PG, probably.
Summary: Inara offers to help Clark protect his private entries and tea and talking!
Clark Kent was not completely innocent, but he was a generally naiive guy. He liked to think that all people had good in them and that they wouldn't betray what was right, but time fighting the criminals of Metropolis had taught him that people were alot less trustworthy than he liked to believe, and because of that, he was always hesitant around his secret.
But now somebody knew and he didn't really know how he felt about that. He was completely uncomfortable with it, to be sure, but it was out now, and he couldn't deny it, afterall, he had wrote it!

Dressed comfortably yet still in beautiful fabrics of red and orange, Inara glanced at the different doors on the lower level of the place. Passing through the lobby in silence it was not long until she found the room the man had told her to go to. A small curled fist rose, knocking on the door once, then twice.

He had to admit, this woman was very pretty...rather exotic, but not as pretty as Lois, for sure. Maybe he was biased, but he could only see women as pretty, but never as pretty as Lois...maybe it was a fault, but nobody had to know of that! "H-Hi," he said, reaching out his hand to shake hers as he closed the door behind her.

"Hello; do forgive me for not having properly introdcued myself earlier. My name is Inara Serra." Inara watched in gentle amusement at the man's seemingly shy nature; already she could tell he was someone she could trust.

At least he could get to know her. "Uh, s-so..." he mumbled, stepping further into the room before plunking down on one end of his couch, offering the other end to her.

"But, uh..." he looked to her nervously. "You won't tell anybody, right?" he asked hopefully.

"It is difficult... and I am sorry for that I cannot be of much help to you." Trying her very best Inara could only give to him another small smile. "But.. at least know that you can think of me as a friend."

He would admit that he did like thinking of her as a friend...even if he had just met her...at least he had a friend here. That was the important thing. If he didn't have any friends, he feared that he would go crazy with loneliness. He shifted awkwardly, not really knowing what to say.

Even Simon and River, with secrets of their own as they would run from the Allialance, were family to her. Jayne.... not so much, but there was always that one black sheep in the flock. As for Mal...
Shaking her head clear of thoughts of the infuriating man Inara turned her attention back to the present. Squeezing his shoulder just a little in comfort before pulling away, "Why don't I show you how to keep your writing more private?"

"I really appreciate this!" he admitted with an earnest smile.

"I mean...I'm not bad with computers...but I'm no genius either," he admitted with a faint smile.

"Why don't you go ahead and write up something. It can be anything just for the sake of showing how to lock it." Her tone was gentle, as any teacher's should be.

Unfortunately, these computers were alot like the ones he had back in Metropolis (Albiet a bit more advanced) and they couldn't handle his speed typing any better than the others did.

"Now all you really need to do is to make sure you type in this code properly." She nudged his hands to the side, though politely, in order to finish what she was doing. "Then it will be locked from others seeing it."
no subject
"That's easy enough, thanks!" he said, smiling as he watched it. He never did understand how people could make computers look and be so easy!

He was terribly rude, wasn't he?
"Oh, would you like some tea?" he asked, blinking.

A thoughtful expression appeared on her face. "If you don't mind my asking-- what is your world like, Clark?"

"Where I am from, Earth was the planet that was basically abandoned.." Smoothing some wrinkles on her skirt she went on. "People had taken to living on habital planets or in their ships, stopping at places such as Persephone to restock needed items."
