Summary: Toothless is back from his canon update. And confused, very confused. Also, the side of the mansion might have a dragon imprint for a short while.
The Story:
It's a fairly sunny early afternoon. Inconspicuous, almost, aside from Storybrooke making way to Wonderland. Birds are singing, fish are happily living a dragon-free existence. But it isn't to last. A winged shadow swoops over the grounds of the mansion — sleek and graceful, at first, and then flailing as the shadow realizes he doesn't have a rider anymore. Toothless stares around at Wonderland as memories come back to him, willy-nilly, and even his new back fins aren't enough to stop the rapid approach of the mansion itself. There's just not enough time.
The Nightfury gives a very loud, almost long-suffering roar as he collides with the side of the mansion, scrambling with his legs — unsuccessfully — to find purchase. He slides down past, and over, several windows, still rumbling loudly as he ends up in a black, leathery heap at the side of the mansion.
For a long moment, the heap is still, and then slowly Toothless rights himself. He examines himself for a moment before licking a paw and raising it to his face, wiping off the dust that he collected from the side of the mansion itself. His side that hit the mansion is sore, but nothing serious has been done. Dragons have to be tough to do what they do.
And now that he's probably scared someone to death inside, he's back. Though his feelings are mixed, given the lack of Hiccup in the vicinity. It could be like the first time, he supposes — ending up on the wrong sides of the mansion. Toothless cleans himself up a bit more before he gets to his feet, making a noise in the back of his throat that distinctly sounds like grumbling.

The Nightfury gives a low rumble. He remembers how the dining room and the kitchen work, now. Once there, he can show her exactly what he likes to eat.

"Guess you'll tell me then, hm?" Bela says as they reach the entrance, pushing the door open for them both. She steps inside first and then waits for the dragon to join her. The more Bela thought about food, the more she wanted to get something for herself as well.

While the mansion gives him food, it also presents danger every once in a while; the Nightfury's learned to be cautious.

Bela moves to the refrigerator and takes out the carton of milk for herself. Then she fetches her designated mug from the cupboard, pouring a dash of milk into it, putting on the kettle to boil. The last important step was the teabag which she places in the cup, standing back to wait on the kettle.

Fish spills out onto the floor, called from the dragon's hungry mind, and Toothless immediately starts snapping them up, a pleased rumble in the back of his throat.

Which is what she does when the kettle boils, making quick work of it. Now all Bela had to think of what to eat with her tea; it just won't be fish.
She settles on toast and marmalade, making it just as quickly as the tea before turning to look at Toothless.
"You seem to be enjoying the fish."

He won't stop until his belly is full, and he's got quite a big belly.

At least Toothless seemed to be doing better than when she first found him outside the mansion. That experience did nothing to get ride of his appetite.

He finally finishes his 'sushi' and comes up next to her, sitting down and trilling softly, sniffing curiously. What is it that she's eating?

She turns to see him beside her, wondering what he was doing until he sniffed. "Oh. You want to know what this is?" Bela asks, gesturing to her toast with a free hand. "This is toast and marmalade. I don't know if you would like it."
Or maybe he was the kind of dragon that ate everything.

Although there's a part of the dragon that really doesn't stop looking for food, even if it's food that's unfamiliar. It might not smell fishy, but that hasn't put him off before. Mostly, he knows just enough manners that things on counters are not to be grabbed if someone is attending to them.
If it spills on the floor, that's another thing.
He snuffles loudly at the toast and marmalade before trilling softly. It smells... odd. Then again, some vikings eat very odd things.

And it smells a heck of a lot better than raw fish.
She eats the last part of her food and washes it down with some tea, waiting patiently to see what Toothless would do. Was he going to accept her offering of food or not? Only time would tell.

Luckily, it's on the floor, and the floor in here has undoubtedly seen worse.
Toothless swallows the piece with an enthusiastic gulp before he's really tested the flavor to see if he likes it. For a moment, his face is impassive, confused. And then, a moment later, he grimaces, sticking out his tongue and making a disgusted sound in the back of his throat. Apparently marmalade doesn't agree with dragons.
He makes a few more of those grimacing, oh-woe-is-me rumbles before shaking his head sharply, as if that will banish the flavor from his tongue.

But as it turns out, the marmalade and toast was not to the dragon's liking. At least he went for it, that much could be said. "Sorry." She winces in sympathy at him, taking a few steps forward to pat his head gently. "Definitely not giving you marmalade ever again."
She thinks for a moment before going to the sink and filling up a bottle of water for Toothless, bringing it back over to him. "Here. Maybe you should drink this. It might get the taste out." Bela gingerly tips the bottle towards the dragon's mouth, quite wary about it.

He opens his mouth for her.
At first, the short white teeth in his bright gums are there, but after a second they retract right in. It makes him look comical, rather than vaguely menacing.

Bela is careful while she pours the water into his mouth, a tiny bit at a time. She was sure that he would give her a sign that when he had his fill. "That's it. This will help you, yeah?"
Her tone is soothing and kind, treating the dragon with compassion. Bela knows that he wasn't hers but it was nice to take care of an animal.

All clear of the dreaded marmalade.
He takes it one further, though, and licks Bela's hand in appreciation.

The hand licking was his way of saying thank you, Bela supposed. Even if it did make her wrinkle her nose a little.
"You're welcome." She couldn't be annoyed at him for too long.
