[ open / event ] too long living in the same old lives

Who: Peter Hale Tommy Halliwell and you.
Where: Storybrooke
When: 24th - 28th
Rating: R. It's Peter.
Summary: Tommy was a fisherman, but he had to find something on land after his daughter was born. He's a single dad to a teenage girl and a good uncle to Cordelia Halliwell. His wife died while giving birth to his daughter and he almost didn't survive it. His big sister had to take care of his daughter for a few weeks, but he righted himself with God and his deceased wife. He still struggled, but he devoted his life to taking care of her. Peter is in construction now and he couldn't be happier with his life, but his daughter wants him to date. She tries to set him up constantly and Peter hates it. Why can't these meddling teenagers just let him be happy with his bootycall and grandpa sweaters?
The Story:

From the 24th to the 25th Tommy's routine is an incredibly easy one to follow. He's very laid back and he'll get a drink at just about any bar if someone invites him. He doesn't drink alone because he's aware of it being a slippery slope for him. He spends time with his daughter and niece. He bakes cookies for teenage girl sleep overs and isn't afraid of a nice "Kiss the Cook" apron. He owns more cardigans and house shoes than most men his age should. Tommy often forgets to have a life of his own and sometimes he needs to be reminded that he can exist outside of taking care of his family. The last shred that he holds so close to him.

He has breakfast at the diner and is pretty talkative and polite if you want to engage him. He's friendly and big-hearted. Tommy will lend you money or let you crash on his couch. He obsesses about his daughter dating a boy and the fact that he's sleeping with a certain school counselor that isn't going anywhere beyond the bedroom.

On the 26th Tommy starts to go through some changes. He's aggressive, paranoid and he can't quite figure out why his eyes keep turning blue. He doesn't feel like the same Tommy Halliwell anymore and he's starting to wonder if he's going crazy. He can be found in the woods or hiding away at his home. He's trying to manage his daughter's issues as well, but he's not doing that great. Especially when he feels like he's going to lose control at any moment. Tommy is losing control and deteriorating fast. If you bump into him on the streets try not to agitate him.

When energy erupts on the 27th Peter's pissed. Or is it Tommy? Such conflicting personalities. Looking at Tommy is like looking at the man that Peter could have been if Kate hadn't burned his family to the ground. It was hard for him. Hard to see what could have been and know that he could have been a good father. Being happy and not having to manipulate it is foreign for Peter. The 28th is hard for him. He can be found pretty much all around town trying to just find answers and perhaps some peace with the two different sides of his personality that keep colliding.

( At home, in the evenings, Luna has to do her homework. She has to do it for hours. Dyscalculia makes math particularly difficult, so she always leaves it for last. When she gets to a particularly gnarly problem and frustrates herself with her own inability to compute until she's near-tears, she grabs the paper and storms downstairs to find her dad. Loudly. Hollering, actually. )

Who invented this crap!?

( as angry as she is, she's actually really emotional about it. she wants him to be proud of her and she feels like she fails in this and it drives her up a wall. )

Dad!!

( she thuds loudly and flops into a chair and tosses the paper at him unceremoniously. )

I don't get it. At all. I've read the chapter like six times. I've read over my notes. Nothing makes sense. Can't I just not do math?
